Well, I am still working on getting my house in order. Got our taxes done, cleared out old medical and financial records. I am not going anywhere for a while as we are told to shelter in place until April . We are doing ok, as are my parents. DH's Dad is in a nursing home and they can no longer have any visitors. My Cancer center is closed down until April, as are all gyms. So I certainly have enough time on my hands!

Here we are at almost the end of 2019 and I have not done very well on my goals. Hoping now that I am retired I can get some things in place to encourage a healthier me!

Hoping to get back to tracking - did that this morning, but I have a very late start today! Working on cooking some and then working on the office some - don't know if I can actually get the whole job done, but stayed up late going through paper - hopefully the saved paperwork filed in the right places at least and straightening/purging some more!

Getting my house in order is a big deal -then I don't have it always in the back of my mind that it needs to be done and I can move forward with less stress. Here we go! Will try and blog today, but I have Bible Study tonight and I have to bring snacks (none of which I can eat due to the oral surgery I had last week. Soft foods. I see the dentist Thurs. and get my Mammogram. Trying to get all Dr's visits in before we go on the Medicare/new medical plans we still must choose and communicate to the broker we must go thru.

That's what I am working on now! At least I finally found out how to get to the team points!

I need a reset, I don't know about the rest of you. I am printing out the goals I posted in Jan and sticking them up where I see them regularly!

Karri - I so agree. We all need to give ourselves grace. You have come a long way, considering the setbacks you have had. Just do what you can each day. Some days baby steps are all we can manage.

Jane - Awesome that you are making progress, you also have been thru a lot.

As for me, I am making small progress as well, walked two days this week, and will walk tomorrow if it's not raining. If it is I will do a Leslie Sansone walk inside. Was able to get to water aerobics yesterday, and am working through a Genesis Bible study with podcasts by Jen Wilkins. Still need to work on my diet more - increasingly cut out all but natural sugars.
So progress as well, with some setbacks. I have had to keep my limitations in mind as well. Did a shoulder workout that left me in pain for a few days, and then the knee going wonky. Things are improving. Will go to the cancer center and do chair exercise and yoga this morning after my dog walk. Need to get going though!!

Have a wonderful day!

Jane, I hope your walking goal is going well!

I've had to go back and re-evaluate my goals because of my limitations due to my chronic illnesses. Grace is the word that comes to mind. I need to give myself grace when I can't 'do all the things.' And focus on things I can do and self-care. Reading my devotional and the Bible are my top priority. I can't do cardio right now, so stretching and pilates are my focus. Getting enough water and spending time with my family.

Agreed! Oh, CheriAnn, I do hope that April is easier for all of us!

Migraines have been getting in the way so much, I can't wait till Wednesday, I get my Botox injections and will get to see if they really do work. I pray they do!!

My goals are all the same, they seem to have all been put on hold due to health issues, and I'm praying that will cease to be true and I can get to work on them starting this week!!

Crissyrr, I so agree with that statement! Still working on the goals posted previously! Life is crazy right now. Going along with Mom on her Dr visit tomorrow. She's not thrilled, but not saying I can't. Then Thurs afternoon a family meeting at FIL's house about his impending move to a care facility. Then next week another Dr appointment with Mom, and then a heart Dr appointment with DH. Hoping April will be easier.

My goals seem to grow wings or life bumps them out, but the hoped for is to...
...walk at least the 15 minutes five days a week,
...do my arm routine and rebounding 3 days
...and Lord willing a horseback ride 3 or more days a week.

How I feel is more important than what I weigh! How my clothes fit is beginning to matter more!!

Welcome back Regina!!

OK - ~~My goals is to feed myself properly both spiritually and physically.
~~To slow down a bit and "enjoy the moments". I am at the mercy of my
"to do" list and that needs to change.
~~To eat more salads as a main meal, and to eat entirely less sugars
~~To get my house in order and purge some stuff - too much stuff, stresses I
do not need.
~~ To track my food and exercise daily!
~~ Get back into my work out routine (water aerobics, walking, bike, strength)

Regina, welcome back!! Hope to see you more!!

My short term goals for January are:

1. Daily Bible reading time, plus devotional (my new devotional should get here today!)

2. Start on basic daily routines that I can build upon

3. Set aside time for crafting, whether it is sewing, crocheting, whatever I feel like

4. Workout, start slow

I haven't been here in over a year but I want try to get back into the swing of things. I've already posted some goals on my Google blog but I will post a few that I wrote here.

1. Devote more time to reading my Bible and prayer

2. Lose weight and eat healthier

3. Walk around my neighborhood at least four days a week.

4. Exercise 30 min a day even if I need to break it up in chunks throughout the day.

Blessings in Christ,
Regina

I'm working on a goal planner now that is helping me figure out what my main goals that I want to work on for 2019 are. I have never worked on goals this purposefully before and I hope it really helps! So far it has shown me that my goals are not what I thought they would be and I'm really digging deep. Love this planner and will post my goals when I finish discovering them!
