1. What attracted you to the Literary Women Team?
I found it on a Spark friend's profile page and had to check it out. I love books, and reading novels keeps me sane in the midst of my busy, stressful life.

2. What do you hope to get out of this team?
A chance to chat about some great books, suggestions for reading, and hopefully some new Spark friends.

3. What could we learn from you as a member of our team?
Well, I am an English professor, so I think that I have pretty good insights into literature, and I could certainly suggest a lot of wonderful books.

4. Do you have suggested books, etc. for us to read?
Yes, many! Here are just a few:
--The Impressionist by Hari Kunzru
--Music and Silence by Rose Tremain
--Regeneration by Pat Barker
--No Fond Return of Love by Barbara Pym
--The Deportees and Other Stories by Roddy Doyle
--Afterwards by Rachel Sieffert

5. How can we help you reach your goals?
Reading goals or weight loss goals? I'm not sure . . .

6. What would you like us to keep on the Team Page?
Maybe a thread (or several threads by genre) for brief reviews.

7. What do you think should be removed? (If anything)

8. What could we include that would be useful to you?

9. Is there some type of game forum you would like us to start? (Authors’ names, alphabetical book titles, etc.)
Thast would be fun. On another site, we used to play "Who Am I?" You give a clue at a time and see if people can guess the famous author. New clue after every guess.

10. Would you be interested in a monthly author study?
I can't commit to it during the school year but might join up over my summer break, depending on the book.

Like someone else who has posted previously, I too am NOT a regular member by my absence from most of my teams. This is not because I don't want to be there but because I'm somewhat overcommitted in my life outside of SP. Enough said! To the survey:

Survey:
1. What attracted you to the Literary Women Team?
The name itself and the indication of substance by its name.
2. What do you hope to get out of this team? Interaction with women who read books of substance and talk about them.
3. What could we learn from you as a member of our team? My insight into what I've read and am reading.
4. Do you have suggested books, etc. for us to read? Most likely.
5. How can we help you reach your goals? Not sure just yet.
6. What would you like us to keep on the Team Page? Not certain because of inactivity here.
7. What do you think should be removed? (If anything) Unsure.
8. What could we include that would be useful to you? More emphasis on writing, if we are, and also what we're each reading and have found to be good.
9. Is there some type of game forum you would like us to start? (Authors’ names, alphabetical book titles, etc.) No
10. Would you be interested in a monthly author study? Yes.

Hope these responses help. And thanks for doing this.

4. Do you have suggested books, etc. for us to read?
Sure. I'll get back to you on that.

Well, I am NOT a very good team member, I've been notable for my absence on most of the teams I've joined...and my reading is either very directed (French) or subject to my whims of the moment. Be that as it may, here goes...

Survey:
1. What attracted you to the Literary Women Team?
A sparkie who belonged to it, who has now left sparkpeople...
2. What do you hope to get out of this team?
suggestions of things to read which I might not find on my own, since I don't do a lot of browsing of best-seller lists & such.
3. What could we learn from you as a member of our team?
not sure!
4. Do you have suggested books, etc. for us to read?
I have a lot of favorite books and authors but have no idea if others on the team would like them or not.
5. How can we help you reach your goals?
By suggesting books & telling a little something about them.
6. What would you like us to keep on the Team Page?
Some of the questions Jenn asked about books were interesting - I think we should all feel free to open a topic if one occurs to us - or submit the idea to a leader to get 2nd opinion
7. What do you think should be removed? (If anything)
What's there is fine...I must admit I don't look at it a lot though!
8. What could we include that would be useful to you?
9. Is there some type of game forum you would like us to start? (Authors’ names, alphabetical book titles, etc.)
I enjoy seeing fun quotations like the Victor Hugo one on ESLTEACHER's messages...but am not so much for games either. I did like responding to the meme Jenn sent out toward the end of her time as leader, that was challenging and cool!
10. Would you be interested in a monthly author study?
I tend to get obsessed with a writer and want to read all of their stuff, so not too sure about this, but maybe...
