I tend to read several books at a time. My estimate would be 10-12 per month. CJ

It really varies for me as I am also a fan of children's lit, which are usually much shorter and a bigger print in the book.

A low would be 3 for the month, a high maybe 9-10.

Before I became a college student, I had 4 - 5 a month. If I'm lucky now, 1 - 2.

It depends on how big the books are and how much time I have... and how much I am enjoying the books. No where near 12 or 8 or even 5 a month!

Maybe 3 a month?

I read a lot of YA. I certainly would get through as many if we were talking literary works only.

At my height 8-12. Now less than 5 and I'm embarrassed to say it. I'm a real lightweight. In the book blogging community, I have friends who read 6-8 books a week.

Now that I have plenty of free time, I probably read 12+ books each month. But we are NOT talking Great Literature here...I am a bookaholic and have been since I learned to read.

On average....I'd say 2-3 a month.

The summer when I lost my job and then had surgery and couldn't do much of anything, I think I set a personal record and read about 9 a month.

But I have two kids and work from home, so my reading time is limited to weekends, mostly. :-)

I'm so impressed by you all. I'd say I read 2 or 3 books a month on average, sometimes more (7 so far this month). I'm not a real fast reader and I have trouble with my eyes. But I read whenever I can.

I vary between 6 and 12 a month depending on what books are out and how much time I've been able to spend reading. I've spent many a nights reading till the wee hours of the morning.

I would say that generally I read between 2-3 novels per week. So per month, between 8-12. emoticon

I love to have many books going at once!

Ah, for me it depends on the seasons a bit. I read more in the winter from being cooped up in the house. I've probably read about 6 books this month and hope to finish at least one more. I've read more and less than that in a month. But you did say average so I guess maybe about 10.
