I think that "reading something" would suffice!

Hmmm. So do I need to complete one piece a week or do I need to at least just read something. Since I am taking this personal training course I don't have as much time to read for pleasure. :(

Yep, Connie hit it!

The team goal is to read one piece of lit per week, at least. That "lit" can be anything, including poetry, novels, short stories, blogs, nonfiction, etc.

Let's go team!

Any complete work of literature should count, I think. A really well-crafted poem that's only ten lines long can be as exhilarating and challenging as a novel, memoir, or short story.

Maybe if you like poetry, you could create a goal of a poem a day (one fabulous resource is poets.org, the Academy of American Poets...you can get them to send you a poem a day to your e-mail address!).

I just joined the "Complete literature 1 piece per week" goal, as it sounds like a good idea, but I was wondering if there is a specific guideline for it. Is it a whole book? A personal goal? I have taken way too long off from my personal goal of reading and taking detailed notes on the whole Norton Anthology of World Literature, and it's about time I got back into it.

But you have to be small to do it! I'll get there someday...
