Congrats TangoKate and ImagineThat. Wish I could say the same. I was doing good but had a meltdown today. Well, todays almost over and tomorrow is a new day. I'll be better cause I'm go quitting.

I feel like I am settling in a bit better. Getting the hang of it. It feels different this time around. Last time it was all about the weight. I met my goal and ate it all back. This time is harder so I am actually taking that as a good sign that this process is being internalized a lot more. Am I right? lol. emoticon

Yesterday was not a good food day for me!

No breakfast
Mont Cristo and chips for lunch
4 blueberry pancakes with syrup and butter for dinner
low carb ice cream with pineapple topping and lots of whipped cream for dessert!

Hope I do better today!

I did well yesterday. I was able to hold of eating after 7pm, even though when I got home at 11:30 I was hungry. I just went straight to bed.

Phoenix- Once I stopped eating fast food frequently, I always feel yuck after I eat it now.

I had Burger King for dinner tonight. I just didn't feel like cooking, the kids weren't going to be home for dinner and BK was just there...I don't often eat fast food, in fact it's quite rare that I do, but boy oh boy, did I ever have it today! I'm already regretting it. Oh well, tomorrow is another day to make better choices!

Got mad last night and was good did not binge. I ate two small servings of dry roasted peanuts and 1/2 personal watermelon instead of dinner. Hubby was mad too but we were not mad at each other. He some times binges too but we both just did not want to eat our dinner last night. And I had the nicest salmon defrosted for our dinner. Oh well we will have that for dinner tonight.

Hi Folks, I've been dealing with late night snacking so I tried chewing gum when the urge to eat comes over me. I can't chew gum for too long but evidently it's long enough to do the trick. It's working, at least it is for now.

God Morning! Last night I ate nachos around 9:30. I didn't even stop to think about what I was doing. Today I am going to keep in my mindset to no eating after 7pm. It sucks to do well all day and then unravel all the hard work when the day is almost over.

Terri, thanks and good job with the ice water or iced tea. I've been trying coffee but I'll switch to water and see if that works better on the cravings. I laughed about the results of drinking the water because I'm the same way. I'm retired also so I know what you mean about not having a certain time to be up.

Terri good to hear you are feeling better and are going to try walking again. I love my morning walks. I try going every day just to get out of the house. I go right after breakfast when it is still cool out and few people. I live in mid town and very close to the state capitol. There are a lot of state workers out at about 10 when I want to go to Starbucks so I try to get there before their 10 break. Most days I am back home by 9.

As a wise person told me (I think it was you), we are all entitled to getting into funks. Walking works. I completely understand the late night eating. I can go all day without feeling hungry at all .. but once 6:00 pm hits .. I just want to graze and eat everything.

I have been trying something new for the food cravings. Every time I think about food in the evening, I take a really big, really long drink of my ice water or iced tea; whichever I am drinking. It has worked OK the last 2 days except that I am getting up every 2 hours for the bathroom. Lol. At least being retired means I don't have a specific time I have to get up.

Praying for your good results to come in.

Terri, Glad your party didn't get completely rained out. Yea for your grandson graduating and going on to Technical/trade school. My youngest grandson did the same thing. Glad your angina seems to be cooperating for a change.

I'm in a funk. I think it's because of having to wait on the results of my lung biopsy. I've gone over my calories the last couple of days. I didn't go over much but it was still over. Late night eating mostly when the day calms down and my mind heats up with questions. Also feel tired and sluggish. Just seems to take too much effort to do much of anything. I need to get into a routine I think, but that's hard to do when I'm running back and forth to my mom's or taking her to the doctor or having to go to the doctor myself, yada yada yada....Sorry I'm rambling or venting whichever you prefer. I just need to go out walking. That's what I'm gonna do. See ya later.

The graduation party was a little wet but everyone had a good time. I am so proud of my grandson Derek. He has had no motivation, for anything, for several years now. We weren't even sure he would finish school. But about a year ago he changed. He has now graduated and he even decided he wants to go to Trade School .. not sure for what yet .. but he has already applied. emoticon

I weighed in this morning as usual. I know I have done wrong this week so I was prepared. I only gained 1 pound! How surprising is that? I can overcome 1 pound easily. All I have to do is get my head back on straight. Lol.

The really good news is that my chronic Angina seems to be in a dormant state right now. I am going to try a little exercise today and see what happens. Wish me luck!

I have found that taking long walks helps me with my stress, I have walked almost 20 miles this week dealing with problems in my life. Walking lefts my mood too.

Hello everyone! I have been a member of this team since I joined SP 8 years ago. I just ditched a bunch of other teams that no longer interest me, and added a few that do. This is one of two older teams that still are meaningful to me.. This is my biggest problem and has always been since I was a tot.

I'm not sure if I ever posted here.. I doubt it. I am ready to tackle my automatic eating (and drinking) due to emotions. I'm armed with reading books on habit changing and now is the time to make steady, small, incremental positive changes to my bad habits.

I am guilty. I have been jumping onto SP in the morning .. reading everything that everyone is saying .. and then logging off. without saying anything. Its not that I am not interested in what you all are saying. I have been fairly depressed lately and I don't think I can inspire a mosquito let alone anyone else. o I've been keeping to myself. Right? Wrong? Who really knows.

I pray everyday that a call will come for me that says my apartment is ready for me to move into and I can get away from this roommate that keeps my stress level at 8 or 9 everyday. The apartment is only a 5 minute drive from my son's house. My son, Eric, was here last weekend and we did a lot of stuff during his visit. Yesterday I walked into one of the stores that Eric and I had been too and the manager asked me if he had gotten home OK .. I said "yes, thanks for asking" and she said "IT WAS GREAT TO SEE YOU SO HAPPY .. YOUR SON MAKES YOU SMILE AND YOUR WHOLE BODY JUST LIGHTS UP". Eric left to go home late Sunday morning and later that afternoon I could feel the depression taking over.

Today is the graduation party for my 18 year old grandson Derek. There will be a lot of friends and family there, so I am hoping that it kicks this "funk" I am feeling out of me. We do have rain and thunderstorms predicted for later this afternoon .. Pray they move away from us. My step-daughter's house is fairly small and all these people will not fit, so the party would be ruined.

You all mean the world to me. Have a great weekend.

I am calling today my official "back on track" day. I have got to get my sugar intake under control. I eat mostly healthy, unprocessed foods, but once I have that first bite of something sugary, (cake is my favorite food, EVER!) I cannot stop eating it. The next few days of no sugar will be tough, while I break these cravings.

I am keeping busy today, went to the supermarket and then the library. I got a good book and will get to reading after my Spark time. I am keeping from over eating by pausing before I eat and feeling the emotion that is making me want to eat. I let myself feel the emotion instead of bottling it up. Before eating I am doing much more thinking then I use to do.So far I have been 49 days binge free since learning to use this skill.

I am still dealing with thee migraines and generally not feeling well. I have given in to temptation and overeaten almost everyday this week. Not sure if it because of not feeling well or what it is. Why do I live in an area where the humidity gets so high?

I get up in the morning and start feeling guilty about what I ate last night and I vow to do better .. but so far this week it hasn't happened.

Tomorrow is a high school graduation party for one of my grandsons and I have a lot to do today and tomorrow to help my step-daughter with all the preparations, so maybe my overeating will end today.

Had a lung biopsy performed yesterday and still feeling the effects of being knocked out. Could have done better on what I ate late last night but stayed within my calorie range. Think it was residual stress from the procedure. Wasn't able to exercise yesterday but will get it done today. Today is a new day and I'm planning to do better.

I am feeling in a very up mood today. I did my long walk yesterday early and did not get over heated. I took a nice long walk this morning and feel great. I am going to make today a good day not letting the holiday get me stressed out and if it does I will pause think about it and make wise choices.

I feel bad for you all in the horrible heat. For once we in the midwest can actually say for the 2nd of July it is really pleasant. But the heat and humidity is supposed to return tomorrow and stay for the foreseeable future.

Binge eating gets us all. All we can do is accept it happened and begin again tomorrow.

I truly understand binge eating have in the recent past had a really big problem with that

Having record breaking heat wave here 107 yesterday. I have about an hour in the morning before 9 to get out and do my walk, still this morning it was 76. I did my walk and enjoyed it. I am in an up mood. I have a long walk to do tomorrow, to pay bills, will do it as early as I can.
