I'm making trim. For my nightgowns and slips I use a basic pattern and ivory muslin and then make the trim.

Well, I guess I'm alone. It's Saturday, so not too unusual to have very little activity. Did shopping, got some Aileen's Tacky Glue, I like to use it on the ends, applied with a toothpick. Sometimes I water it down. I have Fray-Check (somewhere)

Good persons do rescues. It's not always easy. My Paco chihuahua was a rescue. I just gave him a full body 15 minute massage and gee he liked that. I got ALL his little muscles too. He let me turn him every which way too. LOL. He's so cute. Terriers are nice dogs, very very smart little dogs. I had 2 when I was very young child. Too too was it's name. And D2, yes, D2. Daddy had a barber shop in small town named Drive 2, so we named terrier D2.

I've not got my new tatting supplies in the mail. Prices in Amazon was much better than JoAnns, and free shipping. So I ordered a few threads. I want to try the size 80. I know it's small and my vision will likely go blurry fast and lasts for a while, but I want to make earrings for my son's wife's birthday in November.

Tomorrow I'll try to get the tatted snowflake pics I scanned up on my page. Or on the team stream.

We have no pugs but do have a rescue, terrier type dog found at our neighborhood walmart. I think if you would be țeam leader go for it. I do tatting on a hit or miss thing. Go hot and heavy then nothing for a while.

I also just got a Kindle eBook on Tatting, and has a number of good patterns. It did get some valid good reviews too. IDK how yet to scan a Kindle book page, but I bet I can do it. Can easily enlarge pictures on Kindle.

Hi, my name is Phyllis Anne, and in the Team Stream over on the right, you can select "Photos" and can then browse your computer to upload a picture of a tatted work. Or any other picture you might want many to see.

I just joined this team. It appears there is not a team leader. Does anyone want to be team leader? I would request to be, since I like being team leader on a couple other teams. Does anyone have any opposition to me becoming team leader? My main reason is to keep the team going. Help spread tatting and our projects need to be shared.

Hi, I am making tatted Christmas ornament covers.
I love to do these.
They are time consuming but the end result is well worth it.
Now if I knew how to keep my picots from twisting. :)

Congrats on the Snowflake. Those are so fun aren't they? They are great decorations, or on cards or even on gifts as part of the wrapping. You should be proud.

I am learning to use a shuttle. I would like to use a needle, but I haven't been able to find a tatting needle yet. I finally got it right with flipping the stitch! So far I have made some cute little butterflies and some rings, but that's about it. Hooray for tatting!

So, I finally succeeded in making a ring right next to another ring and completed My Very First Butterfly.... Excited... Didn't exactly look like a butterfly but I love it. I will try another and see if I can get it to look better .... but I had to share with people who didn't say "what's tatting" until later, heather.

I've been doing a lot of tatting, when I'm waiting for my hubby to finish his physical therapy. (he had a total knee replacement in late November)

I've worked on hiding ends when I start, split rings and the "magic thread trick" for pulling in the ends when finishing a round. I'm pretty excited about learning these techniques as I've been putting off trying them!

The bracelet turned out lovely (I have a picture, but it's still on my camera). I made the pendant but chose poorly for my thread colors(variegated green & variegated brown). They do not contrast enough and the design got lost. I will do it again, with blue, white & green; and white buttons.

I'm doing a little happy dance. I registered to go to Palmetto Tat Days (tatting convention the last weekend of August) and since my ride/roommate/friend is a teacher this year, we're driving down on Thursday.

Since I'll be there anyway, the organizer asked if I'd be a teaching assistant in one of the classes that I'll be taking. I'll be making a bracelet and a pendant this next week, in preparation.

I'm staring the bracelet 1st because the pendant needs buttons. I have the thread started on the shuttle, now I need to load the beads. Guess what I'll be doing at lunch.

My employer offers a literacy program for its staff. These bookmarks are for the graduates of that program, a congratulations. It's to reward their courage and accomplishment in taking an adult literacy course. Extras go to the county literacy program. I got the idea from Nordic Needle. Once a year, they do a bookmark drive to benefit literacy programs.

I made a bracelet for my Namesake, in size 5 perle. It's a pale blue with flower beads spaced over it. It turned out pretty well, but I think it's too small, even for her little wrist.

Now, it's white size 12 perle to make a cross for a visiting WWII vet and then another one for his escort/companion. I started at the top and I've turned the corner at the bottom.

Back on track with my tatting. I'm about halfway through Angelica's 2nd wing. Yesterday I picked up some DMC 12 and some beads; possibly to use for a doily for the State Fair.

I started Angelica over. Now I have just over 1/2 the body done. I thought about doing another bracelet but want to actually get the butterfly done.

Still need to finish Entertainment Doily by Celtess. I need a stretch of time where I'm doing nothing but tatting. Also started up a new book mark by Nancy Tracy at Bestitched. That I can sort of do while watching TV. My tension isn't good, but oh well, I craft while I watch, I don't think that will ever change.

Don't wait for January first or even next Monday to start anew. Do it now!

I finished Seven, and started Angelica, the next butterfly in the book. This one also only requires rings, chains and joins. I'm using the same colors.

I've started Seven, the 1st butterfly pattern from The Exquisite Collection (Lady Shuttlemaker's book of butterflies). I did the 1st wing yesterday in that navy, but today I started again with green and navy. It really does look better in 2 colors.

I now have the Tardis bookmark posted. I also have the edging that was my previous project posted on Flickr. Let me know if you can't find it.

WooHoo! can't wait to see it, I'll be keeping an eye out for when you have time for the finishing up and then getting it posted.

How is the book from LadyShuttleMaker? I've been curious about her books, and her thread is just gorgeous.

I finished the tardis last night, except for cutting the threads & hiding the ends. My split chain isn't pretty, but I did it (with a little help from Georgia Seitz's site). And I got the book of butterfly patterns from LadyShuttleMaker.

Thanks for posting the PDF. I've saved it to take home. Once I learn how to do all those tatting techniques I'll make one up, or if I cannot wait, I'll adjust the pattern so it doesn't use things like split chains.

I have started my Tardis. However, I got to the split chain & realized that I'd forgotten how to do it. I'll finish the bookmark as soon as I can check the instructions. www.nuperelle.net/motiver/Tardis_eng

I'm trying out a new pattern, and I did mark it on my goal page so that it counts for our team goals. I'm on the 3rd round of "Entertainment Doily" by Creations by Celtess. I cannot find her website so I cannot direct you to the pattern. So far it is very basic, you use a shuttle and ball. I love that a pretty pattern is also basic enough for relative newbies. I'm using Lizbeth thread size 20 in the Jelly Bean colorway. I hope to have pictures on my blog and on InTatters by next week. The tatting part is moving quickly it is getting things ironed and photographed, then getting the photos up after work, but while at work as I have no internet connection at home.

I have a pattern. As soon as I empty the shuttle on the edging that I'm tatting right now, I'm going to tat a Tardis bookmark.

I think I have seen Yarnplayers threads. Also, Lady Shuttlemaker has beautiful threads and she makes precious metal and ceramic shuttles. Some day. sigh.

How did I miss that one? Lovely pattern. Have you ever been to etsy to drool over Yarnplayer's handpainted/dyed threads? Absolutely yummy.

I'm still on the edging. I have almost 3' now.

Sounds lovely Sewicked. Don't you hate it when those lovely threads have bad twists or are too soft or in some other way just fussy?

I'm working on Jon Yusoff's "Foldover Bookmark" in size 20 Lizbeth thread. It is a variegated thread either Vineyard Harvest or Orchard Harvest. I can never remember the name.

Here is the link to the pattern. tatsaway-patterns.blogspot.com/2010/

Right now, I'm making a navy blue edging (Red Heart thread, size 20) from the book A Tatter's Treasure Chest. It's row 6 of a collar pattern.

The thread has a nasty twist to it, but it's a gorgeous color; almost purple.
