Just wondering if anyone has gotten the new Sonoma Diet Book? Is there anything different in the book from the first one?

Hi, I just ran across this team. I followed and lost weight with the Sonoma Diet, but got sidetracked with work and other stresses. I have become convinced that using the plate method of Sonoma with good foods is the way to eat right and lose weight. Glad I found this team.

This is my fifth day of my return to the Sonoma Diet. And I'm encouraged. Todays blog talks about how I am relearning the guidelines and my success at eating out last night! Would others like to join me in this venture? Carol

glad to see your "warming the cockles of your heart",
that is so important to success.

Me, I've just managed to read 10% of my sonomadiet newsletter backlog. I was so much further behind than I thought.... Off to run some important errands and get some freggies.

Soup sounds delish,
maybe I'll have some later when my oatmeal wears off.

Sounds good. I just picked up the "$7 a Meal Mediterranean Cookbook". I haven't checked out the recipes really well just yet, but I am on a budget, so hope it will help!

I had a lovely SD wrap for lunch. I chopped red pepper, onion, mushroom and a bit of jalapeno and sauteed in 1 tsp olive oil. (Only use olive oil and no other oil or butter) I added a bit of chopped tomato to heat up. Then I removed all into a bowl, and placed the whole wheat tortilla into the fry pan, browned a little and turned over. Then I put the veggies back on top of the tortilla and placed 2 oz of grated cheddar cheese. Put under broiler until cheese melts, a min maybe. Fold over and slide unto plate. Delicious and I finished it off with 1/2 cup of vanilla soy milk. All legal and plenty of it. I'm going to be blogging daily about my SD journey. For those of you who may be struggling, this is a great program to follow. You can eat nearly anything.

I'm starting the Sonoma Diet today and publicly announcing it in various places on Spark. This will keep me accountable. SD is based on a mediterranean diet so follows this team closely. I have the original diet book and the new one and the orginal recipe book and the new one so I ought to have plenty of food to choose from. My blog today is about SD. The premise is to choose an appropriate size plate and to eat whole grains, lots of veggies and lean protein, skim milk, etc. You get the picture. I lost 18 lbs several years ago and of course slowly gained it back but I really need to lose 30 once and for all. So here goes. I loved being on the SD plan as it was so easy but their online message boards stink. No participation whatsoever. Carol
