You are very welcome.

They say variety is the spice of life, so try all different kinds of fruits and veggies and whole grains with spices to complement your tastes. Slow consistent changes will be accepted (hopefully) over bid sweeping changes. Good Luck.

Thanks so much for that link Joy! I really needed that information so that I know what would be some key staple items to have on hand at all times. I also liked how it had points to get the family involved, my husband and kids are being supportive at this point but I am afraid that they are going to soon tire quickly with new changes, especially the changes with meat. We were all raised here out in the country and there have been alot of times where meat was the first and final course to a meal. Not that they are completely opposed to veggies, they are having a hard time with it being the main course to a meal. I think if I could get the family to understand a meal is time for nourishment and encouragement and their faves aren't banned from the table for good, I can keep the cooperation that this is a new lifestyle for our family as a whole.

Here is another good link for someone starting out. Maybe we can keep these links in one spot so that they are easy to find for reference.

It's really hard to argue with all that scientific data about the Mediterranean way of eating! No wonder so many of us on this team have had Drs tell us to eat this way!
