My granddaughter has already told me she would like me to pass my genealogy work down to her when I pass. (maybe before) emoticon

I don't have any descendants so don't worry about that.

Sometimes I think so much of our lives will be on the net weather we put it there or not that genealogy will be a lost art.

Objects in the mirror will get thinner than they now appear

ha! Maybe I should write a book about myself and my family. That way I can ensure that the story is told correctly, and not be full of some of the lies I've been hearing lately. First and foremost, that I love and cherish every single member of my family and would never do ANYTHING or say ANYTHING to hurt them.
Then maybe I'll write a mystery novel and call it "The Liar Among Us". But then, I'm too nice to put that in pen and ink. Sometimes I wish I WASN'T so nice.

I began my married life writing journals, but gave up after so many events were depressing, as my husband got hurt and we began struggling financially, and didn't get much emotional support. Those just weren't fun days to remember and would read like I was a cynic and bitter, which is the very opposite of the truth. I didn't want that to happen, so I just stopped. I only kept up with the Baby Journals for each child.

I wouldn't mind writing out MY memories of all my aunts and uncles and grandparents. Those were 99% fantastic memories. I had such a fun family.
I'm feeling kind of blue that MY generation didn't measure up.

Learning point, though. I must do EVERYTHING I can to make HAPPY memories, full of LAUGHTER and HYSTERICS for MY family. That's what I CAN control during My Little Time on Earth, in MY Little Corner of the World.

Sorry, just one more thing. When my mom and dad died, my niece assembled a Shutterfly book and PACKED it with photos of them and all the grandkids doing fun things together. We all contributed funny or touching stories and beautiful memories. It was enjoyable to see how deeply Mom and Dad touched each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild.

I am currently writing a book and I begin with some of my own autobiography that shares some insight into who I see myself as. I started this book because I didn't want to stories of my parents and grandparents to die with me. They were amazing people. Not famous but the true backbone of every society.

Do you think about our descendants who will be researching us in a hundred years or so? Do you take any special steps to make things easier for them?
