I find that I am Living Life MOST, when I am helping OTHERS live life.
Being at my mom and dad's side, when they struggled and their lives ended.
Passing on their humor to the younger generations.
Giving fun experiences to someone else.
Making someone's day better, even if MINE totally stunk!

Recently I saw that someone's house and yard looked very nice. So I sent these strangers a card and complimented them on their hard work. I inserted a $10 bill- just enough for refreshments so they can sit and sip while viewing their yard.
Now, every single time I pass that house....I smile at the fun surprise they may have experienced when they got that mail.
I would like to do that again. :)

One phrase I created when promoting the 'choose life' alternative of pregnancy is:

Life.
It's Worth Living.
It's Worth Giving.
Choose Life.

Life is what we CHOOSE to make it. Life can unravel very fast if we don't keep maintaining things. That's a natural law.
But Life can ALWAYS, ALWAYS be improved.
Life really is what we make it.

It can be beautiful inside an APPRECIATED SHACK.
It can be ugly in a TAKEN-FOR-GRANTED MANSION.

We can be beautiful inside a fat, lumpy, irregularly featured body.
Or we can be UGLY inside of a perfectly trim, muscular, handsomely featured body.

It really IS up to us.

Soooo......CHOOSE LIFE.

I feel I spent way to many years just existing. Treading water. It's time to refocus and change that. emoticon

I think that mostly I have just existed my entire life. Maybe now I am starting to live life because I have started playing pickleball. From there I have a lot more social life, I guess. We are having a picnic potluck next week at one couple's place. I have also gotten out of the house more since starting that. I still need to get out and do more things and not "just exist" other times in my life. I have found that at the new church I think that I am enjoying Sundays more, but it isn't that the sermons are more uplifting, so to speak. I am not sure what it is about it.

STRNGNGRNDED, I wasn't really doing any comparing. In fact, that's the point. What do you compare to in order to define living life or "just existing". Even that concept is subject to change in the mind of each individual. What I see as living it up today I might decide later was a foolish waste of time and effort. The same can be said of my opinion of someone else's pursuits. While they may think they're living on the edge and squeezing the best out of every moment, I may believe them to be a blithering idiot who wasted their life on foolishness. So, I guess we can venture an opinion on it, I still think the question is on shaky ground because everybody is going to look at it in a different light and the concept of just existing and living life will change from person to person and year to year in the mind of that person. I think I just overthought it and broke my brain. This Devil's Advocate thing is a hard job!

Hm.

My husband would say, 'existing', because we've had so many challenges that prevent him from being financially stable by our age.

Being a stay at home mother, wife, and home-educator (generally on one income, besides my babysitting money), I feel like I'm LIVING life. This is the life I had hoped for. Sure we could have some more money-enough to feel a little freer. But I'm satisfied.

Other women would more than likely think I have no life. I don't travel. Don't have a fancy car or fancy wardrobe or belong to the Clubs, or have my own paycheck. Things that THEY may cherish, but I don't.

But that's okay. :) I'm living the GOOD life. And I consider it a joy and an honor that such a wonderful man chose ME to marry and raise a family with. Such joy.

And we all lived happily ever after...

I'm living life and loving it.

Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.

5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4"
Summer: Minesota
Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

That's a kinda subjective question, isn't it? One man's junk is another's treasure and all that?
