I don't know about a newsletter, but we have a club.

And we all lived happily ever after...

Life.
It's Worth Living.
It's Worth Giving.

I don't know that. There is a newsletter put out by the Colorado Genealogic Society that is email, but it just lists events they are having and nothing else.

My local library has a genealogy section, but I haven't visited it. . . yet. My state does have a genealogy magazine though for just $2.50 an issue.

Yes and no. The library system has archives of the local towns. Not being from here I haven't looked at them. We also have a LDS Church with computers and staff who are willing to help but only by appointment.

I don't know. We have a historical society with items and information about the town. I think there is a genealogy group a few towns over. I work a couple of blocks away from the Harold Washington Library in Chicago which has a nice selection of materials but haven't made my way over there.

No, but the historical society's newsletter contains a lot of great historical info that is usable for that purpose. They issue a "First Family" certificate for our county if you can prove relationship to someone who lived in the county prior to 1818 that my sister and I each have a couple of from my Mom's side ancestors and I'm going to be working on another from Dad's side. Although the one from my Dad's side only lived in what is now our county during a few years in the mid seventeen hundreds, I think I can provide documentation for it. That would be really nice as he is the one who moved to Maryland and the local SAR chapter there is named for him.

If it does I've never heard of it.
