Glad you're back Jackie. What was the name of the book that lost out to people watching? LOL

Since I last posted on this thread we (DH and I) spent a week on Turks and Caicos Island with a group from our AZ active adult community.

It was a great time. I am the least active of those on this trip (and the oldest female). However, sitting at the airport in Miami was a good example of people watching. I had a book to read but was glued to people watching instead.

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

I do, mostly when I am at a park or recreational center. I would watch the people who were doing weights in the weight room. Then, when I was riding the reclining bike I got started watching the people playing pickleball.

Often, if I am doing something like reading and someone is moving around I will also end up people watching there.

Yes, I love to people watch. In our area we don't find 'strange' people at Walmart or anyplace. I love to watch normal people though, we almost never are in crowds.

I do watch people when I am out in crowds. Like was mentioned before, Walmart is a good place to watch people.

sorry about the confusion Dave. (that would be an incomplete sentence. LOL

Leonardo da Vinci would go to the "town square" and people watch and sketch people he found fascinating. But the reason I had asked was because I caught some people at a store watching my family. They were sitting on a bence in the store, near the registers and just "watching people". I guess that's how they were passing the day??? LOL

Walmart scares me. If I have to go there my son and I try and make it as quick as possible and we avoid the first of the month.

Oh! Now I get it. I read 'do you people watch', meaning us, the readers, the people. Then I go... watch what? The meaning of watching people was lost on me. My answer is... if they're strange or remarkable, but usually, I'm absorbed by something else and tend to ignore what's around me.

Do you people watch? If so, where, why and how often?
