Get started and don't give up

Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.

5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4"
Summer: Minesota
Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

Take this one day at a time and don't beat yourself up if you get off track.

Become consistent with SOMETHING.

Think and write down about what you've BEEN doing all this time (which is how you got here.)
And then do it differently.

It's helpful to learn what foods make you feel tired, bloated, ill. Then learn what gives you energy, makes you feel thin, helps your immune system. Swap out the bad and begin adding the good...one step at a time until it truly feels like this is no big deal! Slow changes are lasting changes.

And we all lived happily ever after...

Life.
It's Worth Living.
It's Worth Giving.
Choose Life.

It's a lifestyle and what works for you now, may not continue to work your whole life. But don't use that as an excuse to give up. Research and do what fits for you.

Take Baby Steps.

For me it was addressing why I'm overeating. The Emotional Eating group is Great! Knowing you are not alone, many of us are battling something emotionally that keeps us overeating, grazing all day or purging.

Identifying and Moving forward THROUGH my issues instead of "sweeping them under the rug" is an ongoing task. It is a slow process. It took years to get where I am and will take years to work though.

Love yourself. Respect yourself. Care for yourself.

Track what you do, eat or exercise, everyday for a week, so you can find out where you are. You start where you are.

Are you the kind of person that jumps in or the kind that sticks their toe in and test the water. That's how fast you change, add. The main thing is, fast or slow, keep at it.

Did you get hurt, sick, or push yourself too hard. Don't be afraid to slow down, but DON'T stop.

A little more, a little less. A little more activity every day and a little less calorie intake every day. Keep doing that over a long period of time. It's the only thing that has worked for me consistently and I've tried many other ways that didn't work or didn't work for long. Most important, never quit trying.
