Toooooooooooo funny.

I found this:

"A sedentary lifestyle is a type of lifestyle with little or no physical activity. A person living a sedentary lifestyle is often sitting or lying down while engaged in an activity like reading, socializing, watching television, playing video games, or using a mobile phone/computer for much of the day."

And we all lived happily ever after...

Stretching and walking goes a really long way, in my opinion. Especially for people who have been sedentary.

I miss exercise, but if I do it now it creates more stress and cortisol and weight gain. I do stretching or walking, but it's not what I consider exercise.
Does that mean I put it off? Isn't weight loss 80-90% diet anyway? emoticon

I do something everyday. Not always the same time or same exercise. I rarely
miss activity if I can add it to my day WooHoo. emoticon

I'm flexible. What worked best for me is committing to just 10 minutes a day. (6 days a week). That helped me NOT make an excuse. I almost always did much more than 10.

As far as walking goes, I have 2 dogs that make sure I do a hour 2X a day. As for strength, I always mean to do it and then live happens and it doesn't

No. I have specific times to do it and I always do it. I'm a touch obsessive about it.

Having COPD it makes it hard to exercise, i was doing good for about 6 months straight then i caught a chest cold and that last like 3 months of no exercise most of the time no energy hard to breathe harder than normal. and now that the cold is gone i cant find the enthusiasm that i had before hand, maybe a new bike will perk me up..just got our income check.....i am ready to ride again...

I was doing really well until I had the back issue. I just can't seem to get back into it now. Not giving up though. I can do it!

I'm a little of both. When I put it off it's due to my rheumatoid arthritis. When I have doctor appointment as I have to travel by county's public transportation. I now have a class I look forward to at the Rec Center which is 3 days a week.

I put it off a lot for various reasons: IBS, tired, lose track of time. Mostly dumb. This week it has been due to weather and play performances, but next week I plan to get back to pickleball. Between pickleball events I haven't been doing anything right now because I actually started in a little too fast with that and another class and I ended up wearing myself out completely.

Do you put off exercising or do you just do it? If you do put it off, what is your most often excuse? If you just do it, what do you do to maintain the regularity?
