My hubby is the main gardener in our family and usually has plants started and placed on our LONNNNG window shelf in the kitchen.
This year, though, we are only planting in our raised beds and do not need to start early for those particular plants.
We are giving our big garden it's YEAR OF REST. We can't wait to see how rich the soil will be next spring!

And we all lived happily ever after...

Life.
It's Worth Living.
It's Worth Giving.
Choose Life.

Build up the Culture of Life!
We can change hearts, by bringing up the next generation to embrace Life at an early age.
If only moral people are willing to do that, mass abortion will end.

Yes, I ordered seeds in January and picked them up last week and attended the class they had. I also attended a class the weekend before. I really need to find all ways possible to not have to use as much water and got info on 2 ways. We got a kit to test the soil and some purple pea seeds from the one class and I got a few flower seed packets. I am hoping I can grow some flowers behind my back porch, but not sure if I can get the ground better. Will try to have the veggie garden, containers, and flowers if I can.

Yes! And I've ordered some seeds and next week I'll attend a green living convention with my local family.

In AZ if we plant the correct plants they will grow all year every year. However, I've been a snowbird since we moved here and not able to grow indoor plants that would survive on their own for the 3 months were are gone in the summer.

Last summer we sold our cabin and will be full time residents of AZ now. The best part of this is that I can maintain indoor plants! My spring plantings are different from most. I am planning to have an indoor succulent garden that will grow all year. Succulents will survive if I am gone a month or so...

So far I bought a 'barrel' of succulents, planted for a table top display, with 15 plants in it, and check on them daily to watch them grow. I will add to this collection when I see succulents I don't have.

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

yes then I think of the work when the drought hits. When we have a drought it is more than just watering.
