Since tradition says he's afraid of his own shadow & it was very sunny here, I guess he would have gone back to bed. But then again, it could have been because it was so darn cold.

It was 18 degrees this morning and cloudy. I have way to many ground hogs on my 3 acres of mostly woods. This time of year the ground hogs are sound asleep underground.
I won't see them until the end of Feb. or beginning of March.
These critters are really destructive they chew everything they find. What a mess they make I have spent a lot of money fixing the mess. They dig holes and tunnels everywhere, chew the boards on the deck and the posts holding up my porch roof. emoticon
I guess you can tell I'm not fond of these rodents. Let's say I do all I can to rid my
property of the critters. emoticon

how tolerant are they of cold? The sun was shining, but it was bitter cold.

It's cloudy in northwest Oregon. No shadow, so supposedly we'll have an early spring here.

The ground hog would love every day in AZ :)

Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.

5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4"
Summer: Minesota
Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

If a ground hog was in my yard today, fir his sake I hope it is the front yard. Duke thinks they are toys. It is 50 and windy, but the sun is bright and the rain has stopped, so he would most likely be out and about

Happy Groundhog Day! If the groundhog had been in your yard today, what would he have done – stayed outside or gone back to bed?
