Glendale is right next to us and where we do most of our shopping so I'm familiar with it, but am surprised to hear they had a freeze...maybe he lives in a micro climate, but even that seems strange. At our home we never came close to that.

Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.

5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4"
Summer: Minesota
Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

Jackie, my cousin lost his tomatoes this year from freezing. Guess not a deep freeze, but enough to kill his tomatoes. Don't know what else he might have lost. He lives in Glendale.

The weather pattern has changed in my span of time. 9 years in AZ. This year we have not had a freeze, but the pattern's final judgement is after mid February. That is when spring 'working on our plantings' start.

I guess here we have a 'once in 5 years freeze' and this is not the year for that.

I lived in MN climate for 60 years and AZ is so much more accommodating...

I do not consider one year different from last year is a change in weather ...

Today at 3 I watched water dripping off of cars. By 9:00pm the temp was 6 degrees! Wow! That's a huge drop!

I guess it does have cycles here, too, but the drought we are in now has been longer than normal, including in the mountains. Temperatures are also higher than normal most of the time. We had really cold yesterday, with freezing rain and just under an inch of snow. Today was supposed to be 40s, but it looks like it might have gotten to 50 (according to my phone app). Thursday and Friday are supposed to be in the 60s again, then cold and possible snow. Texas has had more cold weather than we have.

Absolutely! It is warmer and less rain. The draught is getting scarey.

I actually hadn't heard how much accumulated. Looks like maybe 5 inches? Definitely up to the shins. Maybe more. I think it called for between 4 and 8, but I don't think we got that 8.

Getting some good snow the past few years. I'm glad. Back to what I would call NORMAL weather for Ohio.

Its about where it should be with snow and cold weather like winter should be... been up here from Louisiana and i can remember when my youngest was about 3 years old we got about what we have now,so that shows that the weather does come in cycles.....and he just turned 23...

Here in central Washington state, last year we were buried in snow from Dec. 1st till the first of March. This year we have had several bouts of freezing rain and not much snow and very little sun.. This week is overcast and in the 40's with 30's at night.

The Portland area seems to have some strange patterns of its own. Last year was the coldest, snowiest year in a long time, maybe in recorded history. As we continued into spring we also had 6 straight months of moisture with only 10 dry days. This year we are having temperatures in the 40s and 50s with a handful of wet days followed by a handful of dry days. We moved here in 2014 and we're still trying to figure out what is typical.

In South East Texas, We are on a roller coster. We have had more cold days they normal, more snow then normal and more days above average. Right not it is 28 and dropping there is a wintery mix falling. Temps will go up tomorrow and by Thursday we will be in the 70's.

Objects in the mirror will get thinner than they now appear

Missouri always has strange weather patterns, but they seem to be even stranger than usual this year. Has the weather pattern changed where you live? If so, how?
