This is one of my favorites. Question everything, but don't forget to listen to the answers.

My mantra comes from Al-Anon (probably AA also): This too shall pass.
Given present circumstances, I will be curious to see what comes next.

Please share a favorite mantra and maybe even WHY it means so much to you.

Here are some I found in an article.

Slipping backwards? You may be backing up to get a running start. - Dan Millman

(Good, POSITIVE, way to think about this!)

"You aren't fat—you HAVE fat."

To which I add,
"If you HAVE fat, then you have plenty of stored energy to accomplish something!"

Be stronger than your strongest excuse.
(It is so much easier (especially if you're creative) to think up excuses than it is to get MOVING!)

Remember that any exercise is better than no exercise.
(Very helpful for the BEGINNER'S mindset)

Always be a first-rate version of yourself, rather than a second-rate version of someone else. - Judy Garland

(Being a person of low self-esteem, THIS SPARKLES me.)

If the plan doesn't work, change the plan—but never the goal.
(that one is VERY important to me, since losing weight is difficult for me.)

"If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you". - Fred DeVito
(this one is great when wondering if you're doing ENOUGH.)

If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up.
(NOW THIS ONE, IS A WAKER-UPPER !)

Don't let perfect get in the way of better! - SparkPeople member LAURA.BEALL
(After all, being PERFECT is not POSSIBLE- but BETTER is ALWAYS possible.)

And we all lived happily ever after...

Life.
It's Worth Living.
It's Worth Giving.
Choose Life.

Build up the Culture of Life!
We can change hearts, by bringing up the next generation to embrace Life at an early age.
If only moral people are willing to do that, mass abortion will end.
