I love learning new stuff. I take classes at Coursera.com as well as at my local Community College. So much to learn so little time. Of course, for short tutorials there is always Youtube.

Only my mind requires that I learn something new every day. That is just who I am. We have so many venues to choose from.

Yes I really enjoy taking online courses most of them are genealogy related. There are so many courses available that I have trouble finding time to take courses and keep up with my genealogy research. Yes life is good!

I do comparative religion studies, because I enjoy it. Mostly I did it on my own, then when I married my DH, his brother taught comparative religion at the collage, I never took j
his class. but we talked a lot and I learned so much from him.

Before I retired, I was required to have 15 hours of CE per year. Now, I enjoy going to Genealogy Classes at least once a month for 2+ hours per session.
It is wonderful what we can learn online!

Learning is my life. As NITEMAN3D said, I love having a world of information at my fingertips. In addition, I also love that there are bookstores that sell the newest books with tons of information and also (here in Oregon) the Powell's bookstores that see tons of good-condition used books on all subjects. Many of them are out of print but have lots to teach us. I'm selective in my subjects but the information in just a few areas is enough to overflow my brain. And as noted, even if I forget half of it (at least immediately) I do find a lot comes popping out at the most amazing times!

I waded through a heap of jobs that had some kind of CE requirements over the years. Now.... heh, heh! I studies whut I wants ta study. I don't need no stinkin' job!

On that note, there really is no limit on the inquiring mind these days. I was the little freak that read the dictionary and the encyclopedia when I was young. If you had told me that I could flip a switch and punch a couple buttons and find out most anything I wanted to know (which was a lot back then), I would have stared at you as if you had two heads. Then I would have grovelled and begged to get you to take me there once I believed you. Employer required continuing ed about crap you may or may not want to know is one thing. Structured education about certain specific subjects is yet another. Having virtually all of mankind's accumulated knowledge at your fingertips is a dream come true for me. I can flit from genealogy to philosophy to comparative religion to diesel mechanics to living off the grid to..... well, you get the picture. The addition of graphics, photos, videos and audible commentary and instruction ices the cake of my childhood dream come true. Yep, I love learning (even if I am starting to forget half of it). Good question!

Yes, I do. As a CASA it is required; however, I do enjoy learning new things.

Many adults are involved in continuing education classes either as a requirement for their jobs or just because they enjoy learning new things. Are you one of these people?
