I am actually prefer to walk or run in cooler temperatures. My routine, however, doesn't change significantly unless there is snow or ice.

Sandy, that weather change sounds like Denver. Denver goes the other way fast, too, which I like. We can get 2 feet of snow one day (haven't for several years) and be out in shirt sleeves the next day when we are shoveling that snow.

I'm just the opposite. I don't like winter at all. My asthma doesn't like winter either.....or really hot weather I do yoga at the Y 3 times a week, my pt exercises at home as well as my Wii Fit & exercise DVDs. I really don't have any excuse for when I miss unless it's a work day & I'm in a lot of ain when I get home.

Jackie, weather in St. Louis changes fast too. It can be 70 degrees & 30 degrees in the same day. The problem is that it's not really unusual.

Surprising how quickly the temps change in AZ. from lows of high 70s in early morning to low 90's during the day, to the next week in the low 50's at night and thankfully high of high 70's during the day.

I use many excuses to avoid walking and any with "too" in it work...with hot or cold. But, walking is my exercise of choice and I plan to get a walk in this week-end. I know how just a 10 minute walk a day would be healthy...

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

Somewhat since I don't usually walk Cassie if it is either too cold or too hot. Mostly I go to the gym and that wouldn't be affected.

Still outside some, but not as much or often. Most is getting done inside now.

Cool weather gives me more energy- it makes me feel fresh and motivated.
However, I often dread the thought of going out in the cold, just to drive to the pool and get in a bathing suit! EEK!

And we all lived happily ever after...

Last year when it was too cold outside, I did not go for a walk. Due to heart issues, it is important not to be outside when it is too cold. Instead, I rode my recumbent bike or used the treadmill. Hopefully, I will do the same thing this year. emoticon

I'm the different one. The cooler weather means I can do more outside. I'm SE TX

Now that the weather is cooling off sometimes a lot does that change your exercise routine? If so, how?
