seven orchids, three African violets, and two pothos --and a succulent planter that my daughter gave me.
The pothos grows very long streamers that drape from very high points in our living room. When they reach the floor, or ll their leaves turn brown, I cut them back. They are super easy to start - all you have to do is place the cuttings in a jar of water

I do have quite a few plants, but not as many as when I lived in a house. Just not that much space in an apartment.

Love it when we hit on a topic that gets people attention & starts discussions.

I love plants but I was injured and no one else took care of them.

I intend to replace them eventually.

I have a few inside all year -- 3 African violets and 2 Christmas Cactus. One of the Christmas cactus will be divided as soon as I can manage it. Other than that I keep my geraniums over the winter inside (one already in here). I have about 6 or 7 of them, and I have 5 strawberry plants I am going to try to keep over the winter. A friend gave me some shelves and I have decided to bring them in for the plants to go on. The lower shelves for art work.

I have two Sanseveria that I took from my sister-in-laws overflowing pot. It had been her mother's, they get a day outside when it's warm enough.

My Darling Wife has a virtual jungle out back. We've been eating free veggies for months. However...... When she crosses from the outdoors to the indoors, her thumb turns from green to murderer brown. We have plant shelves in the dining room that I call "plant cemetery". She kills without discrimination. If it enters there, it dies. She does have a Spider Plant she keeps in her bathroom in the winter and he barely makes it every year until he can go back outside. I've got a fifty-gallon aquarium that has had no fish for some time. I'm about to turn it into a terrarium. We'll see how that goes.... stay tuned for casualty reports.

Wow! My hat is off to you! I am looking forward to 'getting good with plants'. MY thumb is generally brown, not green. I'm of the belief that to be a classic, no woman should die of old age without being a good gardener. I'm kind of old-fashioned, you might say. But if we can't grow our own food, then.....we'll be in a pickle some day.

I had thousands of plants about 40 years ago, so many that we built and greenhouse for them. I joined the Hobby Greenhouse Association and was a columnist for them until last year when I retired from the position although still remain active in the association.

I now live in AZ winters and MN summers and it is difficult to transport plants twice a year. I have about 4 indoor plants I continue with but focus on outdoor plants in both locations now.

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of May 2019. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2019 to be back to below 155.

We have one plant, used to be indoors until I lost all but one leaf then went out to garbage can but DH kept it and nursed it back to about 20 leaves. I let him take care of all our plants from now on. I also killed two poinsettias.

I have a terrarium inside, but everything else is outside. Because of the heat houses are made so the windows are shaded, so I have had very little luck growing anything inside. nothing gets enough sun

Yes, plants should be considered 'the best friend who only wants the best for us'. As we care for them, our carbon dioxide that THEY need, is breathed onto them. They in turn, put out oxygen for US! (I'll scratch your back, if YOU scratch MINE!) lol
God is truly incredible. It amazes me how well-thought out creation is.

I love plants and have many in my home. What is amazing is that they all have a story and they all thrive with a loving touch.

I have a variety of them, all with some kind of background story of how I got them. I put them outdoors in the summer months and bring them in for the winter. My husband calls it my jungle. Some have died off over the years and I have not replaced them so the collection is about half of what it was in its heyday.

The third full week in September, the 18th thru 24th this year, is National Indoor Plant Week. Do you have indoor plants? If so, how many? What kind?
