I am really bad about breakfast.

Some days I don't want it at all and some days it seems like I'm ravenous. My breakfast varies from skipping it, eating healthy foods, grabbing something convenient, and grabbing junk. I'm trying to eat healthier overall but some days, breakfast just doesn't happen.

I sleep weird and only eat two meals a day (intermittent fasting), but when I do get around to my first meal at about two, it's mostly a substantial breakfast. I'm diabetic so I have to watch carb intake and breakfast food is mostly ideal for that purpose. I can get eight hundred or so calories in and still not go over 100 grams of carbs, so I love breakfast even if I eat it at the wrong time.

Recently I have been having a smoothie for breakfast with protein powder, yogurt, berries and sometimes spinach.

Other times I will have a small omelet or a sandwich, something that will normally keep me full for a while.

yes, but I never eat it at the same time. Sometimes I'm hungry when I wake up and sometimes I'm not hungry until 10-11am. I wait until I'm hungry to eat.

My usual breakfast is a homemade bran muffin (traditional recipe) and a hard boiled egg with a little mustard and a single cup of coffee. If I am still hungry I add a los-fat mozzarella cheese stick.

Jackie, I find if I eat a hearty breakfast, all good healthy things but at least 500 calories, I don't want snacks and my other meals tend to be smaller too. So I stay in calorie range it is just that Breakfast is the big meal, and dinner might just be a sandwich. This might be harder with a family, but I'm semi retired and DH was on disability for many hears before they "retired" him to SS.

I have oatmeal every morning. To keep calories down I do not add anything to it. I usually have a mid morning snack of fruit. Today it will be a banana...

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of May 2019. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2019 to be back to below 155.

I eat whatever DH fixes since whatever he fixes has at lease one serving of fruit, vegetable or both in it on it or both. I'd say they are healthy. IE start with oatmeal, add blueberries, peaches, bananas, raisons, prunes, nuts, pumpkin, and any other fruit he can find around the house. scrambled eggs will have spinach, peppers, onions, nuts, peas and carrots added. If I have chopped other veggies in the fridge they get added too.
