I've been so out of things the past few months,so glad for the new month. Today I tracked my meals and jumped on the gazelle to do a half hour while listening to a podcast

yes, we're lucky we don't live in the Mid-West, Holy Cow are they getting some snow, I want to get some frozen dinners for when I get home late on Thurs, and I start reading the labels and then I don't end up getting the Froz. dinners, I like making dishes that are 5 ingredients or less, and I'm sure you will do all right on your next weigh-in, I have Faith in you that you can do it. Have a great weekend, I'll be working all day tomorrow then celebrating my Baby Bro will be 50 on Sat. it's gonna be a LONG day

Janice well at least it wasn't snow emoticon I have family who are wishing for warmer weather. I'm down in Florida we are in full blown summer already.

Today I went grocery shopping to replace a few items in the refrigerator for healthier ones spent almost an hour just picking up a handful of items. Very time consuming to read label's. So a little at a time I replace with new food. Yesterday was my MOVE Program I weighed in a little up this week. Last week I was off my game. New week no start I'm sure I'll lose that 1/2 pound I gained.

Thank you Linda, I try for at least 10,000 steps a day, this afternoon I went out to rake some of the lawn and I heard thunder and felt a splat on my face & that was the end of raking, I wish it would warm up a little.

Wow Janice on your steps I can't remember the last time I achieved that many steps

Temps here hit 89 yesterday very hot. A little overcast today expecting some rain. In a little bit I'll be taking the dog for a walk.

Yesterday weigh in was good down almost a pound I'm down 11 pounds so far . 3 more weeks of the program left finally all coming together

Janice hope your legs are feeling better today. Zumba is so much fun. Please let us know about the wellness class I'm finishing up MOVE Program which is really 90% about nutrition than actually moving.

I'm getting ready to catch the buses to go to doctor this morning

I'm doing my Zumba classes when I can, and I signed up for a Wellness class as soon as I get my key tag in the mail, I'll go check it out, went to Zumba last night and this morning my legs were killing me, our instructor likes to push us to do more.

Linda, you never have to be "on your own" when you have SparkPeople. Between all the information and all the people, there is a place for you here and plenty of support. You said you have lost 10.1 pounds; you can lose 10 more - then worry about the rest. I am watching my scale go down by tenths of a pound but that is better than going up. I'm still dealing with Hubby's medical issues, and they are getting worse so I won't be on much for awhile. But I'm still here - and hope you are here with me.

Thursday was my weigh in for MOVE Program down a pound since I began that program I'm down 10.1 pounds sad only 4 more week's to go. Then I'm on my own emoticon

For now emoticon and take some"me" time to care for your self. I have a friend who does the astrology as a profession in DC I believe is where she lives now

emoticon WESTERNSAGE & Linda, I've been on Sparkpeople since 2010 ( I think) Linda you know some of my story, Carol you are an amazing woman being able to take care of your Husband, my husband passed away 18 years this coming April, after he died I packed on the pounds and it's been very challenging trying to get it back off, I'm Diabetic since 2013 and I'm working 3 part-time jobs to try to keep my house, my Taxes are killing me. I am seeing a man from Church who lost his wife also, I try to keep a positive attitude and I will lose this stubborn weight.Have a great week all

Hello Linda,

It's great to meet you and I wish you well on your weight loss journey - and in the rest of life too.

You will probably not hear much from me as my hands are pretty full. My husband is on his second major round of cancer treatments and requires a lot of attention, both medical and making sure he doesn't fall, also he's forgetful so there are other issues too. He is 84 so there are some normal aging issues as well. So my time is taken there.

I am 72 (will be 73 soon) and handle Hubby and the small house to which we downsized from Denver nearly 5 years ago. We live in a farming community about 30 miles NW of Portland, OR, so medical appointments are always 30+ miles each direction. Also I am on a couple other teams where I try to stay in touch. Some days are more successful than others.

Since joining Spark about 6-1/2 years ago I have gained 25 pounds, most of it in the last 2.5 years since my husband's cancer first manifested. I was holding at 150 (I'm 5'4") and wanted to lose about 20 pounds. My favorite exercises are Richard Simmons programs and I also have free weights for strength training; I had classes a few years ago so I have a pretty good idea on what to do. But my schedule and my diet have fallen apart and I also developed foot problems that interfere with riding my exercise bike and walking any distance as well as my favorite dance routines.

I am also a professional astrologer, which is an activity that I can pursue through books and on-line, and it can take a lot of my time as well.

I will poke my head in occasionally but do not count on me for much participation for the time being. If my circumstances change I will certainly bounce back into the team.

I see we have inactive team leaders. So let's see if we can get this team going once again. I love the thought we can move at tortoise warp speed and still be very successful.

Team has members who huddle daily hopefully we can get you all to stop by daily to say hello and what's happening with you on this journey.

This year is when I got serious about ridden myself of extra baggage in more ways than one emoticon I finally asked for outside help and joined VA MOVE Program I'm now working with dietitians. Plus I big help was finally able to get to get my dental issues taken care of. I'm learning how to eat balanced meal's, planning healthy meal's and the big thing is to chew on salad's.

That's my story! How about you?
