hi everyone, happy December 12/01/18

Yesterday, using a ladder, emptied out All kitchen cabinets, installed Marble contact paper in 2 cabinets, 6 hours later, l completed two yes only 2 cabinets with Measuring, cutting, laying, relaying, and more laying, frustration, taking out air bubbles, etc. it was horrendously DIFFICULT....but worth it. Took ibuprofen, went to bed exhausted with sore muscles from going up and down the ladder.

I installed a new shelf to put spices on After i installed wall paper behind the stove

Installed small kitchen cabinet Marble wall paper

Installed large kitchen cabinet Marble wall paper

Golden Crown TODAY emoticon

I got my golden crown today = 100,000 points. I've called them" pointless points", but they actually did help keep me on track and moving forward toward my goal.

May 2010 I began my SparkPeople trip. In the past 8 years I've lost 35 pounds and am now at the "under 165# " goal I have for myself.

PERSISTENCE I quickly lost most of this weight over the first year. Then fun three month RV trips with friends put most of it back. But, persistence has paid off.

Yes, a 33 day cruise was a 12# gain. That was a year ago. But, back to the healthful routines and it eventually takes you where you want to be. PERSISTENCE

My Tortuga explains the trip. YES, I'm a tortoise.

I used to love to jump rope! I haven't done it in many years. I don't think my knees would be happy now. I used to like the double Dutch jump rope. I was the only one in my little group that could do it so never got to try too often. Liked the Chinese jump rope too.
Hope everyone is doing okay. I've been having computer security issues so not on much this week. Enjoy your day!!

Really gloomy outside today! I work at home with my husband on a farm and today is bookwork day! I'm not feeling motivated! I have already done some strength training this morning. Do any of you jump rope?

WOW!!! Cold for Albuquerque and Florida!! We have a son who lives in Miami and he said they've went from 40 degrees to almost a record high of 83!!

So far this week, I've went from 210.6 to 207 simply by exercising more and tracking. I even enjoyed an IBC root beer with my family last night. Here's where my problems come in to play. Once I've have a loss, it's like I lose focus and then eat EVERYTHING! I have a bit of a hectic weekend, so praying things go well!!

Have a super Friday!!!

Take a picture of the little pigs! My mother used to love them. I have a picture of her holding one of my friends little pigs.
Hope everyone is doing okay. It has been cold her in Florida. We got up to low 40's this morning with a wind chill that made it feel like 32! Supposed to warm up tomorrow. Take care all and have a good day.

How is everyone doing this Thursday morning? I stay at home and keep books for our farm and I have quite a bit to get done. We've also had baby pigs, so I get to feed their mommas in a bit. Hope everyone is surviving the cold weather (if that's your conditions) and staying healthy!

Thank you Sunshine for thinking of me. I am doing so much better today and finally have my voice back ; )
Been listening to sermons from Calvary Chapel on line this morning. Wow, what a speaker!
Now it's time to get up and move around a bit. I did get the floor washed this morning which was my must do today, so I can do some reading later as a reward ; )
Hope everyone is doing okay.

Today is 01/17/18 Sunday and I decided to actually START to exercise today

Fact: I dont like to exercise... as I would rather be sitting and watching TV

Fact: I know that exercise will help me reach my goals so I started today to help get me into practice of moving my body in some form :-)

so I cleaned off my machines and we brought 2 of the machines INTO the living room from the Den... (the maxi climber and the rowing machine).

= I did 25 of these on the Maxi climber

= I did 25 of these on the Rowing machine

and 25 slant push-ups.

I am PROUD that I actually DID something physical :-)

Sharon

Hello all! Hope everyone is staying warm. It's even on the chilly side here where I live in Florida. Due to warm up next week which will be nice. Kind of tired of being in the house so long. Feeling better daily and should have this plague I'm had shaken off by Monday.
Haven't done much thinking about eating or exercise since I haven't felt well, but I know once I'm out again I will get in my daily walk. I can't do any caffeine anymore so it's my morning wake up. It's really weird, but I did't get my usual case of "the eats" with this cold/flu like I usually do. Maybe I can budge an ounce : )
Do hope everyone is having a good weekend. If you are in a very cold area it's a good day to be inside resting with a good book or taking advantage of the free time to get something done you have been putting off. What ever I hope you enjoy. Stay warm and safe!

SUNSHINE5268 - I have usually made some really good friends from work, but you are correct, some people do not want to be friends outside of the office. In the last few years, I have created a wonderful circle of friends, some I have known since elementary school and we reconnected. I am turning 53 next month - and I realize how important it is to have some close friends in my life, its not how many, but how true they are to us.

We winter in the south, McAllen TX.. Last night our temps dropped to 31. We lost power for 4 hrs. during the night. Tonight we are to drop again to 30-31 with a freeze warning and windchill warning. Hope to have power to keep the heat on. We are fully electric so lose everything when it goes.

We are bracing for a winter hurricane-storm tomorrow here in Boston. I have made friends with and an exercise group at Curves that I'm able to chat with while we are exercising Monday through Friday. My husband and I go to the pool Monday through Friday where I have made friendships over the last 14 years that I have been going. We enjoy exercising together for 30 to 40 minutes a day while chatting and catching up between the times we see each other,

Does anyone ever feel like as they get OLDER,

its kind of hard to gain or maintain friendships....?

its like I am 61 and I realized I was "lonely" to have a friend to like hang out with, go to a movie with or lunch or just shoot the breeze.

I tried making friends at the office.... but for some reason,
people at work want to keep socialization at the work place and NOT outside of work...
so weird.

I tried with this one coworker and I said lets do something this weekend and she was like... lets check our schedules for open dates..... and I was like what? Then I realized that that was a polite way of saying no thank you.

................. so if you have a REAL friend, treasure it cause they are hard to come by for rea.

I am in Albuquerque, NM. Temps were below freezing this am, but warmed up to mid-50's by the afternoon. But we are in a really bad drought, have not had a drop of moisture for almost 90 days, no snow, nothing. Please send your snow and rain our way! emoticon

Washington DC Metro area... we got down to 11 degrees last night!

A women is often measured by the things she cannot control.
She is measured by the way her body curves or doesn't curve, by where she is flat or straight or round.
She is measured by 36-24-36 and inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don't ever add up to who she is on the inside.
And so if a women is to be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control;
by who she is and who she is trying to become.
Because as every women knows, measurement

Northwest Indiana here!! We're up to -3...and never mind the wind chill which is over 20 below...This is the earliest and longest stretch of below zero weather we've had in many years... Started) before Christmas... And it doesn't look like we'll see a day without some kind of negative temps until Saturday....Stay warm and safe a!!

Thanks for setting up a new chat thread. I think it keeps a team together having a place to come and chat or share.
For those of you in freezing states it's even going to be near freezing here in Florida too! Thanks for sharing Canada, but we have enough!
Hope everyone is doing well today. I'm actually feeling better from the most horrible cold! I sweat it out last night I think ; ) I still sound like a knife caught in a garbage disposal, but feel a lot better than I sound. Going to the library this afternoon for a new collection of books. Keep warm everyone. Exercising inside works just as good as out ; )
