Deb check out exercisetv.com. They have all kinds of dvd or downloads to purchase. They have all kinds of trainers. I have purchased a few dvds from that website. I have a walking 3mile cardio dvd from Leslie Sansone that I like when I cant go out to get my walks in. Its also a great place to view what is new or popular.

I love Coach Nicole too! She let me know that in December she is putting out a DVD of 20 and 30 min cardio exercises! And that's what I need, at least 30 minutes. The workout videos at Spark don't have 30 min workouts, so I was looking for some I could purchase! Thanks, Deb

I have a treadmill and exercise DVD's. Deb, I've had success using the Collage video website. They have ones that they list as "staff favorites" that I lean toward and there are all fitness levels. I also use the exercises on the spark website (coach Nicole is great!).

Would it be ok to ask if anyone knows some good Exercise DVD's? In Florida right now it's over 100 with the heat index, it's this way all summer everyday. I go to bed at 8pm because I am up very early for work-I like to workout in the am.
I need to get some good cardio DVD's for that ( 2days I can go for long walks but it's too dark on the am that I work). Thanks for any help I can get! Deb

I prefer outdoor exercise - it has to be really bad to keep me in. In poor weather I bundle up &/or put on my rain gear and go. In summer heat I rise early to work outdoors, plan a pool break in afternoon. But in a blizzard or Ice storm, I have dumbbells at home & a set of no equipment balance exercises as well. We have an exercise bike I can do arm exercises on, & if I'm desperate I can beg my DH to set me up on the bowflex, which I cannot reach in position on my own. I have a few videos I can use as well, but I usually just interpretive dance to music I like. I also walk or drive to our medical clinic to use ellipticle trainer. twice a week unless blizzards rage.

Much as I hate it, I get up when its still dark so I can have breakfast and be ready to go out at first light. I could use the treadmill, but I enjoy the outdoors SO much more that it makes up for the early alarm!

I live in Austin, TX and the temps have been as high as 105 plus. Whew! So I get out the door by 6:30am where the temps are about 75 to 80. I have a treadmill but I love going outdoors where nature is just beginning to wake. emoticon emoticon

Here in South Carolina, with the heat and humidity both high, I just go to the Y and take water aerobics classes every day. Doesn't feel like a workout but there is that constant 8 pounds of resistance from the water.

Here in Texas the temp has been in the high 90s with a heat index well over 100. I try to get my walk in early in the morning before the sun is to high over the horizon. If I can't walk, I dance around the house with my daughter. 30 minutes of bouncing around is heck on my knees by great for my heart.

I have found this summer ways to keep myself moving forward-
fitness cardio, strength, and yoga dvd workouts
Wii fit plus, Wii Gold's Gym Cardio Workouts, and other sports Wii games
SP video workouts
gardening
yardwork
using the SP strength pre-made workouts or getting creative and mixing up a number of different SP strength demo exercises to make my own daily workout
washing the dogs
cleaning the house
using my indoor elliptical
or when heading out for errands parking far out and trekking in plus walking laps around the stores perimeters.

Here in St. Louis, it hasn't rained in several weeks.

When it does eventually rain, I plan to walk under my umbrella unless it's thunder and lightning, then I can use the treadmill at work if I need to.

We've also started mall walking twice a week, and can up that if necessary.

I'm planning to buy a new pair of hiking shoes at Cabela's soon, so I can stay outdoors when the weather gets cooler/colder.

There are a couple of malls we can go to that have a fitness walk. If nothing else, just walking around and talking to the other walkers. Try to go before the stores open.
