I have been walking for exercise for years now, but once in a while need to renew my motivation. That is why I joined this challenge. I find that if I walk the 10 minutes that I feel I can do more and usually do...up to 2 hours per day. Some days I do it all at once and other days I do 10 minutes at a time. Thanks Spark People.

This is my first post. I am battling diseases that can all be linked to my obesity. I am so sick and tired of taking medications. My doctor says that if I lose the weight I can be taken off my medications. This is my fist step, literally. I'm keeping within my calorie count and I walked for 10 minutes on the treadmill. It may not seem like much to some, but for me it's a beginning.

1st day in the challenge and I got in 60 minutes of swimming laps. I was able to increase the number of laps from 30 to 37 within the 60 minutes.

I did 20 minutes of cardio using Coach Nicole's 10-minute Cardio Kickboxing video (twice obviously) here. I meant to continue the next day and today but that didn't happen as I don't do squat when I experience any kind of physical trauma because I don't deal well with pain and I just got stitches in my thumb (the pad of all places! OOOOOUCH!!) Saturday night. But either the aspirin is majorly kicking in or my thumb's healing quickly (or a little of both?) because it doesn't hurt nearly as much anymore. I think I'll be able to get right back on track starting tomorrow which is convenient because it's Monday! emoticon

I did it! I can hardly believe I exercised for 10 minutes, something I have only attempted in my mind for a very long time, LOL. I am pleased with myself but very aware of just how unconditioned I have become. I look forward to feeling my lungs open up over the next 4 weeks.
