Plateaus are the worst! :( What have you been doing to break through it? I hit many from 2010-17. Now everything is different for me because I am losing pospatum weight and am unsure of how much of that is true weight gain (at least 20 pounds I would say :( ) It's a bit sad to be numerically starting over...but my daughter is priceless and my biggest motivator.

Ok, I have to admit, I'm back ! Took me few years to come back - but I wasn't completely of track : I kept on Zumba classes, had a nutritionist check on my diet, start some group exercises program and most of all, took care of my happiness.
I came back to SP in July 2016 to keep track of my food intake while on vacation. I was preoccupied with eating too much, which I did, of course! But, I moved more also, so the damages were limited to 3 lb. Since I'm back, I enrolled in the Plateau breaking challenge - and it worked! I've being loosing 1 to 1.5 lb per week since. I'm now in the "Find 10 min Challenge". I'm making new SP Friends and reaching my goals.
So, I guess, I'm back sparkling again emoticon

Thanks for reading !

With every new wrinkle you try, you are probably building healthy habits...try a hundred things and keep 50 and you're way ahead of the game! LOL When we get "of a certain age" everything we do helps. Spark on (even if you only pop in now and again)!

Not sure if I'm here or there. Every time we go on a long vacation, I lose touch with SP for a long time afterwards. Now we are getting ready to sail again so why should I bother to restart a habit that will fail in 10 days?
Anyway,my husband and I participated in the Move! program with the VA. I lost a little weight and gained a lot of energy. He lost and is bouncing around 10 lbs. lighter (others lost 40+). Then our grandchildren were in and out in various combinations for 3 weeks and we helped our son move. The day they left we started Healthy U to deal with chronic conditions. That has helped a lot. We make weekly action plans and phone each other to be sure we are staying on track. That really helps. I've done a lot of things around the house that I have ignored for many years and it looks good.

Sometimes I hop into Sp to post my food and check some notes.Facebook and my mother's family photos have occupied more of my time.

Yay! Your story like mine and so many others is the true success story I think. We've learned that this is something that we will live the rest of our healthy active lives and not a single diet or plan...we try different things, challenges and exercises and when we feel we need new or more motivation we reach out to others for ideas or reinforcement. SP has changed our lives! Spark On!

emoticon I'm still out there sparking away. emoticon I will be starting the "5% Challenge" soon for the first time. I also log onto the "Spring into Shape" site where I track fitness minutes and the "55 and Over" site to track weight loss..

I am close to my goal weight and actively working towards reaching this goal. I track my food and exercise daily in the SP trackers. I enjoy reading and interacting with bloggers.

It's been one baby step at a time with a lot of ups and downs but staying active even in the down times has made a huge difference in my success. I also have a Spark buddy that I email regularly. SP has been vital to my journey. emoticon

If at first we don't succeed...yadda yadda yadda.

But truthfully....life isn't just a set single goal...it's successive goals and yes sometimes revisiting the same goals...because we are constantly learning and relearning. I do pretty well most of the time but occasionally I do something that makes me well aware that I need to keep tracking and trying to improve. Most recently it involved some jellybeans...it had been a long time since I had any and thought that I could have a few and then pass....not the case. and I also didn't feel well, didn't sleep well etc. Toxic beans!

Glad to know others are still out there working at it!

Congrats on the 50 pounds lost! It is great to hear others are out there and losing that started this struggle the same time I did. I'm here about once or twice a year to check in. I have lost 30 pounds, which is a little over half my goal.

Yes! 50 lbs is fantastic and maintenance is very hard! I know I NEED SP and we really are in this together for the long haul.

Now for those who are feeling not so good about the progress with the numbers....it is most important for us to make those habit changes...in the long run that will make a difference and we have some role models here to motivate us!!

So glad to see some of us are still around! Two years on Spark, I am here and continue to be active on the site. Been on maintenance for almost a year, with a 4 pound weight range I am doing my best to stay within. Maintenance is tougher than weight loss!! I have learned to forgive myself for slips, and continue to get up when I fall. My life style and nutrition has certainly changed for the better with Spark. Never want to go back to the "way it was".

Well, DDHeart & fellow Team Members,
I am still out here-plugging away! Unfortunately, my weight number (which was better) has not significantly changed, but some great new habits have occurred which keep me plugging away! I have COMPLETELY dropped my daily soda from my menu, and I'm balancing my meals much more successfully, as well as upping my activity levels-- walking dogs daily! I am hopeful that I can get a little encouragement here, as people around me aren't doing it so much! sigh!
It has been a very stressful summer, and I think that has a LOT to do with it--as my numbers were better this spring!
We need to help each other, right? emoticon

That's great! I think sometimes we need the off times to help strengthen our resolve. You're doing great and I think it'll be fun to watch that ticker edge down!

I'm back! I got away from all of this for a long time, but I seemed to hit a point during spring break of inspiration. I had lost 6 lbs without even trying since the beginning of the year so I started imagining what I could do if I started trying. So I started exercising and eating right and back on SparkPeople and am now starting to get involved in the Teams and everything.

WOW! Congrats on such great success MAREANNIE! I would love to see pics of you in your great new wardrobe!

Yes, our big team is small in terms of activity on the threads but I think that's mostly because with busy lives and like Ed says different methods that we all follow, people often need to minimize their activity to one or two teams. Like Wendy, we can't always be as active on the site as we would like.

I think it's a real big success story though that we are still here and making time when we can.

I'm here!! Present and accounted for! I am exercising regularly now, for over a year, and have reached my weight goal range!! emoticon Total lost 51 - 55 pounds! Donated all my old "heavy" clothes and slowly but surely got a new wardrobe. Depending on the style and fit of clothing, I lost 4 - 6 dress/skirt/jeans/slacks sizes. SparkPeople has helped tremendously. Now my fitness & weight goals are maintenance...which has always failed me in the past.

Sadly, I don't think there are many of us (Team Members) left from the original group. Those that are still here...YEAH!! I am hoping you are doing well on your journey.

Hi everybody! We've been a team for a long time and of course a lot of us check in and then move on to other teams for more of our activity. I'm just wondering who is still out there...What are you doing? How are you doing?
