Over a year I lost about 5 pounds. But I have to be honest. I signed up last June, but really did not start using the website until end of January 2011. I think the hardest thing is "time". Finding the time to stay motivated. Finding the time to work out. Finding the time to get/make the right food. Being a single mom that was studying for the CPA exam was time consumming. I am going to do this though. It is what I want. I think I learned that I need to accept myself and my body. That is hard to do. After being divorced for over a year I am in the process of talking myself to jumping back into the dating game. It is hard when you see that all guys are looking for is toned/in shape women. It really gives you a complex. Is there an easy??

Happy Anniversary !!!!
I have lost 10 pounds but I haven't lost any for a while.
Learned that even though the weight is a yoyo at times - need to keep going. Also learned that I need to work out everyday - can take a break from the workout but don't overdo on the weekends with food.

Hardest part is to do the workout every day - I am tired from work and just want to sit and watch tv.

The easiest - getting on spark and getting encouragement from friends on spark and reading the different articles that help.

Happy Anniversary!

How much have you lost? Gained 5 lbs (net). +23lbs -18 lbs.

What did you learn this year? The number one thing I learned this year is that I need to be ready to commit. I thought I could half-do the "diet" last year because I had success in the past. My lack of effort ended in me gaining 23 lbs by January 2011.

What has been the hardest? Getting motivated to be on track again.

The easiest? Now that I am committed and have been tracking my food every day for over a month, I have been losing at a steady rate. It's really not that difficult when the motivation is there.

My anniversary motto is "better late than never". Starting all over is better than giving up.

How will I know limits from lies if I never try? --Thrice
