Just came back from a wonderful week at the beach. I thought I did well watching what I ate and I exercised at the very nice facility they had; however, on coming home I discovered I had gained three pounds!!! It had taken me two months to lose that!! However, over the past two weeks I have finally relost that weight. With the help of Sparkpeople to keep me focused. I really can't say enough about this site. It is the first time in my life that I have "fallen off" my program of choice and recovered in a relatively short time. Thanks for the help.

Last week, after a mini vacation I went up 3#'s emoticon I thought I was doing good while away.
Since I came back I just went right back to everything I did before and am emoticon because to date I have taken off the 3#'s. I learned that if it's working don't change it........ emoticon

Just coming back to SP after taking time out is a victory to me. I will stick with it. I will also stick with this team rather than join a new one for this go round. You guys rock!

Those plateaus are hard to break sometimes, but you will do it.

So far I have lost 13.5 lbs. I have had a four week plateau though. I walk, bike and watch my portions. Time to kick the exercise up a notch to lose those last few pounds!

My victory was that I walked 1.5 miles today. Does not seem alot to some people but today it was the first step in my journey. I've been losing weight but by calorie counting. Now I intend to turn up the heat and really start losing. emoticon

I have a long term goal of 50#'s in one year. So I want to take off the weight slowly. I'm hooked on tracking my foods and at least 10 minutes of exercise a day. What I found is portion control. I have not given up any foods..........just control how much I eat and when I eat it. This works for me and I consider this a success because I learned how to do this being a part of SP.

We are all encouraged when we hear about the successes and victories of our fellow Sparkers! Please share your victories here - no matter how large or small. For example, I consider the fact that Iím dealing with the frustration of a 4-week plateau without giving up !
