Good afternoon ladies,

Tracy, I understand your upset and sad because you can't see the difference on the scale. I would be, too! For me it is the workouts that make the difference. I tried diet changes before, but without A LOT of sport the pounds didn't want to come off. Now I'm literally soaked in sweat at least one time a day, if not two times and the pounds are coming off. Of course I changed my eating behavior changed as well, but I think a lot of sport made the difference. I know that will work for you, too. Btw do you weigh your food? I use a food scale to get the EXACT amount of EVERYTHING I eat, except fruits. For fruits I use the small/medium/large options. It is a lot of work, but I really want to make sure I'm within my calorie range. I really don't want to say you're doing something wrong, but I underestimated what I ate on a regular basis and let me fool by myself :( I want to make sure you don't make that same mistake.
I'm really glad you're seeing the results everwhere else! :) You already see that it works!

The neuronal and behavioral biology exam went well yesterday. Not super good, but still satisfying I think. :)

Me and some of my friends went swimming in a lake today. By bike! I rode a total of about 12 miles and I went swimming in a bikini. And it felt good already! YAY! :)

Good morning everyone.

Today hasn't been such a good day for me. Everything is going well in my life, it's just trying to evaluate what's wrong. I'm gaining weight, not losing. I'm eating better, eating within my calories, drinking my water, exercising most of the week (working towards 6 days a week) and yet, the weight still stays. It makes me wonder, WHERE I'm going wrong. So I changed the amount of weight I wanted to lose. I changed it to my first big goal weight. That is 48lbs away. I changed the amount of weight lost/week to 2lbs instead of 1. That lowered my daily caloric intake to be 1700-2000/day instead of 1900-2200/day. So I'm hoping with the decrease in calories and the increase in exercise, SURELY I'll lose at least 1lb every other week or so, right? I'm hoping so.

On good notes...I'm stronger than I was. I can walk further than I could before. My blood pressure is getting normal since that weird spike that I had. I'm slowly cutting out the processed foods and getting more of the perimeter in my diet.

I'm just feeling down because this isn't working for me like it's working for everyone else. I don't want to be this weight/size forever.

Shelly, huzzah for the new running shoes! I have a pair on my feet right now that cost too much money but is worth every penny. I really like them and I'll be spending that much money on more when these bite the dust. But I have several more miles to go in these. :)

Morning all. It was a crazy busy weekend but oh so much fun. Yesterday I drove my oldest up to her mountain camp. I'll see her again in a week. I bought new running shoes this weekend and I LOVE them. Cost me a pretty penny but that's what birthday money is for right? Hope everyone is well!
