Tricia and Mitchell, I'm really glad that my Mom is going to join me as well. :) I told her that if she needed to do it in a wheelchair, I'd be more than happy to push her along. Which I know I won't be pushing myself to do this walk, she's much slower than I am, I'm just so proud to walk next to her. :)

AOTD: I have a pair of pants in each size for the next 5 pant sizes. So I have them out one at a time. Granted, I've not fit into the first one yet, but I will, it's there, taunting me! :D

Happy Friday, everyone!

What a day for me! I've been doing homework all day, and I'm still only about halfway done. I have a lot of work for one class, and the professor asked us to get a week ahead of the calendar because she needs to miss a week of classes. I spent today doing research for a speech I have to do in 2 weeks, because the rough draft outline needs to be submitted online by tomorrow! Ugh! I did take a break to get in my cardio, so that was nice.

Mitchell - I hope your chemistry exam went better than you think. And good luck on the others you have coming up!

Tracy - Way to go on motivating your mom! Sounds like some good mother-daughter bonding time coming up. And good for you getting to sleep in today. As for the eating til you find what you want, I fall into that trap easily too. Catching yourself and stopping it when you notice is a good step in the right direction!

She-Ra - Good luck getting your exercise in and eating healthy while out of town. It's hard, but you can do it! And we'll be sure to stay motivated while you're gone!

Shelly - sounds like you've had a nice birthday so far. Congratulations on being so close to your goal! That's fabulous!!

QOTD: I have a pair of jeans that I wore on my first date with my husband 4 years ago. They hang on my closet door as a marker of where I want to get. I also have a couple of formal gowns in my closet that I've never been able to fit into, so those are motivators too. Not that I have a lot of occasions to wear them emoticon

OK, back to more homework. Tomorrow will be more of the same, plus, I have a job interview. I'm not holding my breath, I was told by someone on the inside they already have their favorites, but hey, at least I got an interview!

Tricia

Tracy, I'm so glad your mom wants to walk with you! That is really great! I bet it will be so much more fun together! :)
I think the early morning is the best time for working out. I hope it gets cooler soon so you can join me ;)

I finished my studying for today so now I'll try to design a motivational sheet. I have done nothing like that until now and I feel it's time to create something like that. Have you already created a motivational poster?

QOTD: I have some clothes I don't fit in anymore. That is a little motivator, but I don't have "the perfect outfit" yet. How about you?

Shelly, you sneaked in! ;) Happy birthday! I hope you can enjoy your day! :) And congrats! You're really soon at your goal! I wish I was there already ;)
I don't have the grade yet, but I will get in on monday, so we'll see then!

SheRa - Traveling can be hard. I know you will be motivated to hit the gym. And I know you will avoid that room service...its gets me everytime too. emoticon Have a safe trip.

Mitchell - That is awesome that you are enjoying running. That's quitethe class load you are taking girl. Yikes! I bet you did better on the Chem exam than you think...or did you already get your grade?

Tracy - That's great that your Mom is going to do the walk with you. Its always more fun or inspiring when you have a buddy to do something like that with.

Answer to QOTD: I do not have an outfit picked out because I have an entire closet of clothes that I haven't been able to wear for 3 years. I am starting to get back into a lot of them. Plus the hubs gave me a gift card this morning for my b-day to my favorite store. Can't wait to go shopping for something adorable.

I dropped 2 lbs again this week. Six lbs to go. emoticon We are going out for ice cream tomorrow for my birthday with my husband and kids. We're going to the most amazing ice cream shop ever. I can't wait! Tonight some friends are coming over for drinks and apps to celebrate with me. I did not workout this morning, I decided to sleep in...ok 7 am isn't really sleeping in but its much later than 5 am. emoticon

Good mornin' ladies!

Mitchell, it's ok that you started it. :) I got to sleep in today. My boyfriend decided I should sleep in. Normally I get up right before he leaves for work. Apparently I was sleeping VERY well at that time. *L*

I think my TOM is coming because I want to eat everything in the house and then some. It's like I want something but don't know what it is that I want. Which is no good because I'll keep eating on stuff until I find it. I've been trying to curb that, and it's been working so so. I tend to CATCH myself doing it. And then stop.

You guys remember me mentioning doing the 1.5 walk part of a local Relay for Life 5k in August? Well, my Mom is going to do it with me. We're getting tshirts and putting the names of all we know or knew that have had/have cancer. Well, she's not in good health. She has osteoarthritis and COPD and a list of other things, so I told her since it will be in August, if she wanted to, she could take a wheelchair and I'll push her, but she's determined to do it with her walker. (she rarely uses it, but this is for just in case) And she's wanting to start walking laps around our mall. (it as a lap circuit in it) so she can get used to the distance. :) How awesome is that?!? :D

Mitchell, I'm glad that you're enjoying your workouts! I can't wait for it to cool down so I can go walking/running(eventually) in the mornings before my boyfriend leaves for work. I will eventually do a 5K. :)

Question of the day:

Do you have your "dream" outfit already picked out and on display to motivate you?

Good morning and Happy Friday! I've been trying to get back on track this week after my 4 lb vacation gain. It's hard to get back on track. I've also been exercising like a mad woman this week. Next week I'm going to Charlotte, NC on business. I do have gym access and some healthy restaurants nearby, but room service usually gets me! Wish me luck!! I'll still be monitoring you guys, so no slacking! emoticon emoticon

Good morning ladies!

Tricia, thank you for the explanation on the crock pot. Finally I know what it is! Sounds so convenient! I guess there must be something similar available here, but I don't really know. On my next bigger shopping trip I'll definitely look out for something similar!

Shelly, This year I had chemistry, neuronal and behavioral biology, anthropology, genetics and organic chemistry. So that makes 5. I hope I can graduate in one and a half year. The chemistry exam was yesterday but it didn't went well. Perhaps I'll have to retake it in october. On monday is the next exam (neuronal and behavioral biology) so I better keep on learning!
How is your stomach? I hope your feeling better!

Tracy, I shredded for 6 days in a row, but I'm back in Goettingen and my flat is SO tiny, I don't have enough room for those exercises :( I go running in the early morning instead. In those 6 days I had the feeling that the overall endurance got better. The muscles were very sore the first two days but the sore went away on day three or four but it was still hard to do enough repetitions in the strength exercises. I didn't have the feeling that it was getting easier in that respect. But perhaps that is because the muscles had no rest.
I'm the first one online today, so I hope you don't mind I opened the thread!? I don't want to steal that from you, but I just can't wait to post ^^ I'll leave the asking of QOTD to you, I'm not so creative!

Wednesdays QOTD: I can't do without all of you guys! Although I don't write every day I look into the threads when I find the time and your stories and the contact really helps me to stay motivated and to feel good about what I'm doing. I'm glad I'm not alone in this :)
In addition to that I'd be lost without the nutrition tracker and the fitness tracker. Perhaps I'm a little obsessed by now because I track EVERYTHING, but I enjoy it a lot!

Thursdays QOTD: I'm surprised I like running. I ran 2.5 miles this morning in half an hour without walking once and it felt really awesome! I think in the future I'd like to do long runs of 5-10k instead of fast and short runs. It's more fun for me I guess. Although some interval running training is never bad.
