Answer to the QOTD: Running. I've never been a runner. Yes I ran when I played soccer, but I was chasing something or being chased. I never really liked it but I was good at it. But now I find running to be mind clearing and relaxing. I love the challenge it brings me each time.

Its been a nutty sort of day today. Not much time to stop in. Tomorrow is my birthday. I do have a reason so celebrate it despite my dislike for birthdays. I'll blog about it tomorrow, look for it. Alright, off to prep dinner. Have a great day all!

Plain greek yogurt. I always thought plain yogurt was gross, but greek yogurt is so thick, creamy and packs more muscle building protein than regular yogurt. Fage is the creamiest and best tasting, but its expensive. I buy Chobani a lot or Trader Joe's, they're less expensive.

Have a great day everyone!

I was so busy yesterday I never even got to the message boards. Ugh!

Answer to yesterday's question: I couldn't do without food tracking. It is so helpful to me to be able to see exactly what I'm taking in and how it affects my calorie intake. Makes me think twice about some of those cravings. For example, I have been craving some of the ice cream in our freezer for a few days, but because I didn't have room left in my calorie allowance at the end of the day, I fought off the craving for two days. Last night, I had the space, so I went for it. Really helpful!

Today's question: What have I tried & been surprised that I liked? The message boards! I'm usually quiet, more of an observer. This is the one thing I'm doing differently than other weight loss attempts, and I'm surprised to find some great people to connect with, feel welcome, and still be going at it 6 weeks in! I normally only last a month, at the most. I'm now a firm believer that it's the community support that makes all the difference!

Hope everyone has a great Thursday. The weekend is almost here!

Reply to yesterday's question:

I can't do without my message boards on SP and water. I am getting so much information and new ideas that I have to just try them all out! For me, this is inspiration AND motivation.

Reply to today's question:

New thing that I've tried and am surprised that I love, zumba. I can't do much of it, because it about kills me, but I WILL eventually finish a set! That stuff is so much fun! I bet I look like a recently decapitated chicken flapping around, but man it makes me want to giggle!

Good Mornin ladies!

Sorry I didn't get back yesterday, lil man had me running crazy and then when his daddy got home I had to run to the grocery for food stuffs. We're experiencing a heat index of 110 degrees. :( Yeah, though this isn't a record high for our area, it is warmer than normal. I don't want to take lil man out in this heat.

So, I hope you ladies are finding your stride and meeting your goals? I'm starting to see improvements even if my scale doesn't see it. My muscles aren't complaining nearly so much. I'm no longer craving sodas. (I'm actually CRAVING water!) I'm being more experimental with veggies. And though they aren't my first "choice" they aren't so bad. :) Tonight we're having taco soup. :) Going to have several veggies in there as well as beans and lean beef. I thought of using bison, but my wallet screamed NO. That stuff is expensive.

Shelly, glad to see you're getting back into the swing of things. You are going to do so amazing at your half marathon!

Mitchell, is that shred getting easier or harder to do? Are you still enjoying it? I couldn't let our threads die down. You guys are really the reason I stuck it out last month when I had my 10lb in 1 week gain!

She-RA! Howdy! Nice to have you coming into the threads. :)

Ginger! Rachel! Cecelia! Where are you?

Zoe, can't wait for you to get back and tell us of the wonderful things you saw on your trip. :D

Question of the day:

What is one of the new things you've tried since starting this adventure, that you're surprised that you enjoy?
