Morning everyone!! I'm getting back in the swing of things. I've lost 1 lb, so I have 3 more vacation lbs to lose. I probably would be doing better if I didn't eat pizza and potato chips last night! emoticon I'm also trying to eat "clean", but I'm still learning what that means and I'm SURE I will never be able to eat "clean" all the time. I love my processed foods!!! emoticon

Tracy, you are quickly becoming our cheerleader! Thanks for getting us all up and going on the threads!

Shelly, I hope you are feeling better. Maybe it's the heat? How hot is it where you are? It's been in the 90s in Boston. Good ol' muggy New England!

Hmmm, my favorite fruit? Toss up between bananas and berries (strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries are my favs).

Have a wicked good day everyone! emoticon

Tricia - I emoticon my slow cooker. I used it 3 times last week, roast, ribs, and apple oatmeal. Congrats on getting back into the swing of things. It is hard once you've gotten a little lax.

Tracy - Yes, thanks for getting our threads up and running. Isn't it amazing what triggers there are for all sorts of ailments. And that they are so different for everyone. I would hate to give up my coffee, I could, but I'd complain a whole bunch about it.

Mitchell - I hope school is going ok. How many classes do you take at one time? How much longer until graduation? I know what wild peaches are, they look like donut peaches. Yummy!

I got my run in this morning at 5 am. Its almost noon here and its 104 deg F on our back deck. ICK!!! We went grocery shopping and to the pet store for food for 2 of the animals. I was hoping for some melons at the store but they were icky looking and overpriced. I guess I'll be hitting the farmer's market tomorrow instead.

Yesterday and today I have been incredibly nauseous. I don't know what is going on. I just hope it goes away as quickly as it came on. The thought of food or drink in my mouth makes my stomach churn. "I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight." LOL Name that movie!

My favorite fruit? YES!! All of them. I have never met a friut I didn't like. With summer here, melons are my absolute favorite followed by peaches. In CO we have an area called Rocky Ford. They are the greatest melons I have ever tasted! I have never found anything that compares. Oh and the peaches come from our western slope and they are absolutely amazing. I'm taking my oldest to her mountain camp on Monday and I will be driving an extra 1 1/2 hours to the western slope so I can pick peaches myself. Yum!! I can't wait!

Mitchell,

We'll have chicken stew (chicken, potatoes, onions, carrots, corn, peas). A crock pot is also called a slow cooker. I think "crock pot" is actually a brand name. Not sure if you have them over there. It's an electric pot that cooks whatever you put into it at a low heat, very slowly (the stew will take 6 to 8 hours). It's great, because you can put everything in and leave it all day, making your house smell good, plus, it makes the meat you put in it very tender.

Now I'm reminded why I need to use it more often!

Tracy, thank you for opening our threads in the last days! I'm usually the first on here because of the time difference, but I was really lazy over the last week, at least in that respect!

Tricia, what will you have for dinner? What exactly is a crock pot? I read it a lot, but I don't know the translation and it sounds like nothing I know!

My favourite fruits are wild peaches. Do you know them? They have white flesh and are very flat, as if someome stepped onto a regular peach ;). But I like to eat all other kinds of fruit, too!

Good morning, Tracy, and everyone else!

I'm getting back on track this week, finally. Crazy how a long weekend at home breaks all the good habits I've been working on. But, relapses happen :)

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday. Mine should be fairly tame. I have class this afternoon, but that's all the "planned" activities for the day. I'll get my workout in (probably once I get off the computer), prep dinner (love the crock pot!), and probably do some housework.

Fruit of choice: Umm, any/all! I love fruit. I love all berries, bananas, oranges, apples, peaches, plums, melons, grapes, kiwi, mango... etc. Right now, mango seems popular, so I've been eating a lot of that. We always have oranges, apples, and grapes in the house. LOVE FRUIT!

Good morning everyone!

I trust that you guys are having a good day thus far? It's fairly early for me. I've figured out part of my swelling...it's coffee. I hadn't had much swelling in the past couple of days. I had 1 cup yesterday morning and was swollen all day! So, guess what... no more coffee for me! AT least I've figured out a wee bit of the problem.

Everyone getting in all their water? 8 cups isn't as hard as I imagine it to be. I'm wanting to get towards a gallon to help out with this swelling. That's harder, but I'll make it. :)

Shelly, things will calm down and it'll all be good and you'll be back in the swing of things. Aunt Flo is such a pain in the rear. You'll lose that weight gain in no time! :)

Tricia, it is so hard to get back into the game. For me, it's just picking up and starting where I left off. Almost like that day never happened. That's what works out best for me.

Mitchell, good to see you back. I'm glad you're enjoying your 30 day shred. You'll be toned in no time at this rate!

Ice, welcome to the thread.:) Keep coming back, this is an awesome group of women!

She-ra, I'm glad you had a fun vacation. I was wondering where our week 7 challenge was. I figured week 6 was so tough, we were to do it a second week!

Question of the day:

What's your fruit of choice?

Tricky Tracy
