Happy 4th of July ladies! Today, finally, we have a well household. No more fevers and no more grumpies other than the usual kid moods. YEAH!!! My husband and I went out last night to a bar to meet another couple of a couple of drinks and they wanted to watch a UFC fight. It was the 1st and last time I will watch a UFC fight. I don't get the hype. Today is our BBQ. We originally were expecting a total of 18 of us but since yesterday morning that # is now 26. Eeks! I need to get more meat defrosted from the freezer. We are cooking everything. All of our friends have asked that we cook for them as we cook for ourselves because they are fascinated with what we have done. That's a good thing right!?!?!

Ginger - You'll have to tell me about the Bugg as you use it. It is something we may consider it for my oldest.

Tracy - I'm so sorry about your stomach issues. Could it be IBS? I used to battle it a few years ago and it was miserable. Always seemed to happen in the middle of the night. I'd certainly ask your Dr about it.

Mitchell - Hope you have having a great weekend. Hope it is cooler today. I know it finally is here today.

Good morning everyone!

Again, I am having stomach issues. This is truly bizarre. I've never had such issues with my stomach before. I've been up off and on since 4am. When I take my son to our family doctor, I'm going to ask for her advice.

You know, Ginger, I'm not very coordinated either, but I think so long as you shake rattle and roll, it'll matter much! *L* Besides, it looks very FUN to do. I have a friend who's a zumba instructor. She started out just as a student and fell in love with it. She's trying to convince me to come to her classes, and though THAT would be great, the price tag along with it is the problem. We looked into the YMCA. (they have a zumba class) and they want 500/year plus 100 start up fee. Which honestly, isn't expensive when you're looking at a family deal. However, they have absolutely NOTHING for my son. Anything they have for children starts at age 3. So that's a year and a half away before the YMCA looks like a good choice for us. Which is cool. Another benefit of having the videos, is I can do them whenever I feel like it, and not based on someone else' schedule. And since I have a son who LOVES to dance and listen to music I think it would be something fun for him as well. :)

Well, today is going to be an off day for me. With our bbq tonight and fireworks, I'm not going to worry so much with my calories. I'm pretty certain that my stomach will keep all that in check anyways!

I hope everyone stateside has a wonderful 4th and for those not, I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!

Hi Girls! Just wanted to check in. Mitchell, you can check out zumba on youtube if you want to see videos of it. I am so uncoordinated I am afraid to try it in a class after paying all that money. It's nice you get to have the car, Tracy! I remember taking the kids to all sorts of random places when they were little so I could get out of the house. I would take them to the school playground when school was out and they would say they wanted to go to school like big kids. Well, you know what I hear now! lol

I did get my body bugg and I like it so far. I don't like that I have to input my food there and here though. Their food log isn't as extensive as this one. It came with a 6 month subscription and it was $85 off when I bought it. So I think it was something like $160. I figured that with the $60 being a 6 month subscription, the item itself was only $100. If I don't like it in 6 months I can always sell it for that much on Ebay. They seem to sell well there.

It also seems to want me to eat more than SP does. Then again, I believe my calories it wants me to burn is higher, too.

Mitchell, you CAN get it in Germany. :) It's a dance type of workout. Latin American dancing. RAWR! It gets the blood moving and makes you feel all sorts of awesome. :) http://zumba-europe.com/ That's the website for getting it in Germany. :)

Tracy, I'm glad you got the car and have the chance to go walking in the mall! There is a special fitness track in the mall?!? I never heard of something like that! That sounds great! I wish we had something like that, too. It is 98F today and very humind because thunderstorms are coming up. With that weather I can't exercise outside and as we have no ac and I live under the roof it is at least 87F on the inside, too. But I did my XBX and got level 10 done. How did XBX go for you today?
It felt great to accomplish that in so little time! In addition to that I did a 15 minute workout from my DVD and perhaps I'll do some "coach nicole videos" later on. Her cardio videos are tough!
What exactly is zumba? A dance workout?! I read about it, but it is not available in Germany yet (at least the DVDs). I'd definately buy them when the workout is fun and you think you can do it at home and stay motivated. I know I'd love that. I don't like to do classes because of the time needed to go there and so on, but motivation could be a problem for me (at least in the long term view).

Gotta go! Another BBQ! Have a great day!

Mornin ladies!

I hope everything is going well for you guys. It's going well my way! I have my car today, YAY! So little man and I can go walking around the fitness track in our mall. It's too hot to drag him out and his dad has been working from 7am-7pm and it's been too hard to make sure everything is done AND get my walks in. So this makes me happy. He said that I'll be having the car all next week too! HUZZAH! I can't wait until he gets his car fixed! I saw an advert for Zumba dvds. And honestly, I really liked zumba in class. I just can't afford to pay for the classes nor can I make many of them because of little man, so this MIGHT be what I need. I just don't like the thought of spending $72.80 (after shipping) for something. However, that's less than a year's worth of classes.... So I'll mull over it for the next day, and see how I feel about it tomorrow. What do you guys think?
