I'm baaaack! I have some catching up to do it appears. I hope you have all been well. Our vacation was fantastic! Except for the driving. Holy cow Chicagoans have no freaking clue how to drive. Our 3 hour drive frome the airport to the town we stayed in took us 7 1/2 hours! No joke! It was nearly as bad coming back too. Absolutely insane. I did really really well as far as my eating until yesterday. There was so much food left in the house we rented and I felt bad about leaving it that I started eating it all. Cheetos, club crackers, ice cream sandwiches....I actually got sick from eating that stuff. Today wasn't so bad. Although I did ok, I'm leary about getting on the scale tomorrow. Ok, that's it for now. I'm pooped and really need to go to bed. I'll check again tomorrow.

Mitchell, I did the xbx work out. The hardest part for me was the running in place thing. It wasn't so much the running it was the hopping. I'm old, fat and too much moved with gravity. However, I will continue doing this with you. :)

Mom6, I'm so glad you're back! :) I can't wait to hear about your weekend!

Tracy, the repeated numbers had me confused at first, too! I'm supposed to go to level 35. I did level 5 today and I managed to do so. In chart 1 I'm allowed to go to a new level every day. I just thought I might do level 4 again because I didn't feel so good with it yesterday. But it turned out level 5 worked out fine! And I have to say I already feel an improvement. The push-ups finally seem to work and I can reach deeper when I try to touch the floor in the first exercise! I hope you're able to try it today and feel some progress soon, too! That really keeps you motivated!
Yay for not going over yesterday! But be careful not to go under your calories often. I had that one week nearly every day and the weekend after that week was hard because I was hungry all the time!

Zoe, I had two beer-lemonade mixes yesterday. I love chilly beer when it's hot outside! But I'll try limit it to the weekends and 2 per day for now. Perhaps I can avoid beer next weekend, but it is a cultural thing. Everyone drinks beer at BBQs, especially during the soccer world cup.
How did eating out go for you? Do you have places to eat out something healthy? It is hard here because we only have the BIG American fast food joints like McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and some Subways and they don't offer much healthy stuff here (they offer a smaller menu here). The only possibility to eat out healthy would be a local restaurant perhaps, but they tend to be expensive.
I looked it up! Wow, they have a HUGE harbor and naval complexes and a lot of beaches! How long will your flight be? We'll miss you during that week! I hope you manage eating healthy! Perhaps a notebook to write down what you eat could help?!

It is really too hot to do ANYTHING. And it is humid, which makes the heat worse. I tried to study, but my head is feeling aweful in this heat. I'll try to get something done in the house instead, so I don't do nothing!

Mitchell - Ouch! I hate sunburns. It's funny, I live in a desert but rarely get sunburned -- no one goes outside during the day if they can help it! Skin cancer and cataracts are higher her because of the sun. My eating yesterday was better but not what I wanted it to be. I was running around all day helping dh do some stuff around the house to I wasn't able to grocery shop. I have no fruit or veggies in my house right now!!! After work I will be going for sure. Of course this also means I'll be eating out for lunch but I'll try to do my best. Oh, I even had a beer yesterday; is that part of clean eating? LOL It's natural haha. Just getting ready for Germany! (although this was a Mexican beer)

Tracy, be careful with your knee - you don't want to end up with a torn ligament and surgery.

Oh, another thing, I am getting so excited because Wednesday early morning I fly to San Diego, CA to see my family for the 4th of July including my new niece. Mitchell - google earth Coronado, CA and that's where I'll be. You'll notice the big Navy bases there; well, they're a Navy family. It's a lot of fun for the 4th because everyone is all so patriotic with parades and stuff. I love it. But this means that from Wednesday until next Wednesday, I'll be offline and on my own for eating/exercise. Gonna give it my best shot.

Have a great Monday - I gotta get ready for work.

~Zoe

Merry Christmas!

Mitchell, I didn't get to do the exercise yesterday, I started on it, but the first one that has you do a bend to touch your toes pulled too hard on the muscle. So I'm going to try again today. :) I'll be doing the xbx one. I think I've figured out the method to the madness. I think what happened is, they repeated the levels for chart 2 and 3. They're both 13-24. So when it tells me I should hope to achieve level 26, there is no 26, so I get confused where I'm supposed to end. But it's all good. :) I'll figure it out. Don't forget to work out at each level the number of days it says for you to!

Mom6, I hope you were able to relax some this weekend. Can't wait to hear how things went for you!

Yesterday was a fun day for me. We spent the morning scrubbing the house down and then early in the afternoon we went to a kid's birthday party at the skating rink. I didn't skate because of the problem with my knee and my son only being 1.5 years old couldn't skate. So I sat on the side with him and he played with balloons and John Deere tractors (John Deere was the theme to the party). I was good. I was actually under my calories by 43 calories yesterday. When I did my final tally I was too full and not feeling up to getting something to eat for that 43 calories. Should have gotten an apple or something though, JUST to get it in and get good nutrients. But at least I didn't go over!

Goals for today, get my water in, get my veggies in and do the xbx with Mitchell today! OH, after I do it, I'll let you know how it goes!

Morning, all! Sorry...busy weekend! I'll go back and read comments later after work. Hope you all are doing OK. Have a great start to your week! Mitchell - thanks for keeping us going:)

Ginger, I'm glad you had time to write a bit! I missed you! So you live near the coast? In which state? I love to look places up on google earth ;)

Tracy, I'm happy you're stomach is better! I hope the ache stops soon, too!
Did you feel well enough to start the exercises? Which one do you do? XBX? How was it? I did level 4 yesterday, but it wasn't that easy. Probably because my muscles were sore from the swimming and workouts from the dvd. Perhaps I'll do level 4 again today before I go on to level 5.

Zoe, I was already wondering what "In N out" is when I was reading your status message, so thanks for the explanation! Not planning ahead is the worst mistake for me, too. When I don't have something healthy lying around, I tend to be lazy and think about a drive through :/ We have to get used to planning ahead each week. I guess that takes some time to get used to. But I have noticed something. When I sit down on sundays and make a plan for the week, I usually don't have to go shopping as often as before and I don't spend so much money. ALTHOUGH I'm buying healthier stuff. Have you noticed that, too?
How went eating then, yesterday? I hope you did great and feel better now! :) Don't worry to much about it though. We'll overcome those obstacles by trying and trying again!

The BBQ yesterday wasn't so successful when it comes to eating healthy. They only had potato and noodle salad :( Not really healthy. Plus the meat wasn't so lean. I tried to stop myself, but when it comes to potato salad I'm lost! It was one without mayo though. The scale said I gained 100 grams, that is okay for an evening like that! I'll do some extra training today.

I have to be careful with the sun. I have a really bad sun burn from the day before yesterday (when we went swimming), although I used a sun blocker. I hope my skin is better soon!

I'll do my training now and then I'll go out to study!
I hope all of you have a good day!
