I would keep track of all you do and see how many calories that is burning. Just like anything, the defecit from what you eat will be your weight loss (not counting gain from muscle). You're obviously making progress, just wait a couple of weeks and see what you think then. Hope that helped a bit.

I know this sounds like a silly question, but I have been doubting myself all week. The first 3 weeks of this new journey I have been working out at the gym, a half hour on the elliptical and twenty minutes of weights 3-4 times a week. Then last week and this week I have opted for a personal trainer 2x a week for strength training and I started the Couch to 5k program which is a half hour of walking/jogging in intervals. I am making significant progress in my endurance, I am up to jogging for three minutes straight which I have never been able to do before so thats definitely an improvement. However, I am wondering if my original work out was burning more calories than the walk/jogs. How do you ladies know when a particular work out is enough? I'm wondering if I should add more time to my workouts. So confused :-(
