I know I'm supposed to drink eight glasses of water a day, I've been hearing that since I was a little girl. But 64 oz. translates to 4 pounds, and it seems counter-intuitive to put four pounds of liquid in your body each day when you're trying to lose weight. Can someone please explain to me the benefits of water and how they outweigh the cons?
