I know that I am rather slow getting on here today but it has been one of those days.

Tomorrow is my birthday so I probably won't be getting on here unless it is late in the day. My plans are to get up and go help quilt a quilt that my TOPS group is donating for a raffle for Relay for Life.

After that I don't know what I'll do but I'll try to have a nice birthday.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend.

Rachel

Good morning, everyone (wait... yeah, still morning),

Sounds like everyone is headed for a busy weekend! Let's see if I can catch everyone:

Cecilia - It happens. Sometimes you need to indulge a bit, and today is a new day.

Shelly - good for you, even with an injury! Love crawfish boils, have a good time!

Tracy - Happy birthday!!

Mom6 - Good luck getting to that size 8. You can do it!

Mom6 & Cecilia - good luck with counseling. I've been on both sides of the room - I'm a psychologist and I've had my own therapy. If you don't feel like your therapist is helping or you don't feel like there's trust/good relationship, feel free to shop around and try someone else. Trust in your therapist is critical!!!

Zoe - You're right, today is a new day! You had a good time yesterday, so that's the positive thing to focus on.

For me, it's going to be a busy weekend. We're dog sitting for my in-laws, and she's only semi-house trained. She's been here 2 days and I've already cleaned up after her twice. On top of that, my husband and I have one of my friend's birthday party to go to tonight (of course dinner out, but roller skating before that - yay exercise!) and one of his coworker's birthday party tomorrow (party food). I can handle the dinner out, but I'll need to make sure I eat a healthy dinner at home before the party so I don't mindlessly snack. Father's Day should be fun, we're taking the kids bowling and dad bowls free!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll try to find some time to check in.

Tricia

Mom6 - I love the dress! You are going to look so fantastic! I am hoping your counseling sessions go well; the fact that you are both willing to go says a lot about how you both want things to be better. I also homeschooled my kids! My dd through 7th grade and my ds through 3rd grade. Best times. When I was at the zoo yesterday I was reminiscing how I could do an entire day's lessons at one animal - science, history, geography, english, art, well, you know. Great job!

Tracy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

By the way, when I have bad dreams I find it's because I was sleeping on my back; you might want to check that. I think it limits the blood flow to the brain. Better dreams tonight.

Shelly - Yea! for the one pound cuz every pound counts! Sounds like you will have a full and fun weekend; I've never been to a crawfish boil and I love jazz - have fun!

Cecelia - Don't beat yourself up over Cracker Barrel - remember, it's a process. if you deny yourself all the time, you'll end up giving up. Denim panties! LOL Ain't that the truth! Seriously, the clothing they have for young girls these days. Even my 22yo has trouble finding more modest clothing. And you guys hang in there with counseling; get a new counselor if needed. Both you and Mom6 are way ahead of the game just by both you and your husbands making the effort. A lot of praying together helps too.

Mitchell - where are you???????

I had a lot of fun at the zoo yesterday but blew it on eating. It all started with that darn Chili's, then I got home and made poor choices. But, as I keep telling everyone, it's not a diet! Today I just keep eating healthy and I've already done my walk for the morning.

Have great Fridays!

~Zoe

Merry Christmas!

Hey Shelly, didn't see you sneak in there! Sounds like you've got a busy weekend coming up. We're driving down to San Antonio to see my grandfather on Father's Day. I'm not big on crawfish. Creepy legs and whiskers freak me out!

And MOM6, best wishes with counseling. My husband and I have been at it for a year with not much luck, but I think it might also be our therapist. We can blame the Army for a lot of our problems, but the Army isn't going to fix them for us.

Woe to ye of little will power. I was doing so well until last night. I just need to stay away from going to restaurants. We went to Cracker Barrel last night after church, just for a snack. Well they have this WONDERFUL apple dumpling pie ala mode thing. Absolutely to die for. There went my day. Oh well.

Today I've got some shopping to do. There's a pair of shorts my daughter has been dying for me to see all week. Grandma wouldn't buy them for her because they were too short, but DD swears Grandma was showing her even shorter ones. Momma doesn't buy denim panties for 13 yr old girls, so we'll just have to see. And I've got to find 3 pairs of toddler flip flops in boy colors for an order I'm working on.

Mom6, You will look fabulous! I just know it! And I love the chocolate shakes. I prefer the powder to the canned stuff. The canned is good if you need to pack it in lunch to go. I took a clear water bottle, and marked off a 1 cup fill line. I just fill it with milk, ice cubes, 1 scoop of powder and shake, shake. I think it should count as arm exercises!! After a few minutes of shaking, it doubles in volume, so a blender isn't necessary. I hate washing all the parts! I also add coffee to it occassionally. Who needs Starbucks?!

Tracy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Every day is a good restart day! I tell myself that every day! Enjoy Applebees! They've got great salads, just watch for the dressings! Those add up. Or as soon as they bring your plate, ask for a to go box and put half of it away before you start? You'll do fine!

Mom6 - Your dress is so beautiful! I know you'll be able to wear the size 8. I'm so excited for you! Hope you have fun in the sun today. I promise I will get a picture done this weekend of my outfit, plus my new hair-do. emoticon

Tracy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I hope you have a fantastic day and are spoiled as you should be.

I lost 1 lb this week. I can't complain about that. Not being able to work out like I was and I had a 5 lb loss last week. I'm simply thrilled. I've got to finish my youngest daughter's dress today for the wedding next week. I also need to make 3 blankets by the end of the weekend for new babies arriving in a few weeks. Plus a friend's crawfish boil tomorrow night, a hair appointment tomorrow morning, and we're going to City Park for Jazz in the park for Dad's day on Sunday. Go! Go! Go! Should be fun. Just have to make sure I make good food choices all weekend.

Good Morning! Well, I saw my boyfriend off to work and I'm awaiting on my son to wake up. He peaked at me when I went to get my laptop, but he looked really sleepy still, so I'll leave him alone until he is ready. Last night I slept well physically, however it was rife with bad dreams. But that's better sleep than I've had in a few days.

Today is my birthday. And today is a restart day (isn't every day?) and so I'm going to try to account for my dinner tonight. (We're going to Applebee's)

Mom6- I hope you guys have fun swimming! :D I can't wait until we find out why my son has his horrible asthma attacks so we can go swimming. (dr's orders. Not to keep him out in bad heat, bad pollen/mold days, around animals/smokers/flowers etc, until we can see the allergist in August.) I bet you can get into that size 8 by September! That dress is gorgeous! You'll have to take pics of you in it when you get in it. :)

OK I'm cheating again...just pretend I'm in a different time zone! lol My weigh in day is Friday and I'm in my two weeks of LOSE cycle (really my body ONLY shows weight loss on the scale TWO weeks out of every month...but it's usually significant...keeping my fingers crossed!) I'm very busy with work this summer. I've started three new kids/families in childcare. I've done this job for the past 25 yrs. and still love it, but it's always difficult until you have a trust relationship with parents who leave their children in your care all day. I probably didn't want to trust anyone with my kids which is why I most likely chose to teach at home instead of the public school systems:) I hope every one of you has a great FRI! My husband and I began counseling tonite for a variety of issues and I'm hopeful we can move forward to a better place:)
I'll check in later and see what all you ladies are up to!! To PROMPT shelly into pics...here's the dress I've decided on for my son's wedding in Sept. They say it doesn't look good in anything above a sz 8...hmmm we will see if I can get there. Looking at a large 10 now and I mean the manufacturer is sizing them wrong:) Going to order next week in an 8 for motivation!

Shelly - glad you are doing a little better - YOU be careful!! (plz don't over do.)

Ginger - GAWD:) I'm trying to choke down water too! The Gilbert book is AWESOME! I'll have to look at your blog!

TL - WELCOME! Don't stress about numbers...as long as YOU know you are doing well, it will EVENTUALLY show up. IT'S FRUSTRATING when it doesn't but just KICK the scale and go on:)

Rachel - YAY for a better day. I'm so glad:) A 1/2 lb is a 1/2 lb...that's a LOT of fat going away! Congrats on the loss.

Cecelia - what flavor of Slimfast tastes the best? I'm always chicken to try although I've looked at them before:) We're going swimming with my infant granddaughter tmw and my four yr. old. Think MOM will be the first in BED!

Zoe - I love Chili's:) Really, I just love their margaritas, but settle for Bud select 55:(

Hope I didn't miss anyone!!
