Hi Mac! When you first start any weight loss program you generally lose weight quickly but then it slows down after that. Whenever the scale stops moving it means that its time for a change. Doesn't matter if you've been doing everything right, your body has adapted to the changes you have made and its time to make more changes. Introduce yourself to different healthy foods, try eating more protein, take up a different form of exercise or make changes in your current routine. The trick is to shock your body into losing weight again. What also works is to try eating at the high end of your calorie range for a few days and then switch to the low end of your range. Change. Change is the key! Good luck!

Go to "start" under "my tools" then click on "account/email preferences". Then click on the tab on the top that says "commmunity". Then click on "edit my sparkpage". On the top of the page on the right hand side you should now have two check boxes: "share my food tracker" and "share my fitness tracker". Click on those. Whew, so many steps! emoticon

Do you know how I can make that info public? I'm still trying to figure out the site. Thanks so much!

Mac, if you're logging your food and exercise, can you make it public on your spark page? It will be easier to see what your routine is and what (if anything) you are doing wrong. I had a similar issue in Jan/Feb that got the best of me, I lost 3 lbs in 6 weeks and got so frustrated that I stopped watching my food and didnt do any exercise. I started back up 3.5 weeks ago because I got engaged and want to look good in my dress! I went back to my logs from jan/feb and tried to find out where I went wrong. I was always within my calorie range, but eating crappy foods. For example, if I could fit a double cheeseburger from McDonalds into my calorie range, I would do it, 3x a week. Every calorie is not created equal, I have vowed to not eat fast food on the regular and so far these past few weeks have been producing slow but consitent results. Keep me posted on what you are eating and what exercise you are doing, I'd be happy to give you any tips or pointers I have picked up along the way :-)

I'll guess that you're getting exercise and watching your diet. Are you eating enough? Remember, if you don't eat something, your body goes into starvation mode and hoards everything you eat.

And isn't two weeks really (warning: uninformed opinion ahead) a little soon to be worried about hitting a plateau, especially after dropping 5 pounds in the 1st week?

What about your exercise? Even if you're eating right, exercise can be the difference between staying the same and losing.

When I joined I weighed 165 and lost 5 pounds like that (imagine I just snapped). But now it's been about two weeks and I haven't been able to push past 160. What am I doing wrong?? I know 160 isn't a healthy weight for a 5' 4" young lady, so why is my body so content with it?
Sorry to vent my personal problems, I just felt like this was the only place I could talk about it.
All advice and opinions welcome, I have thick skin :)
