Shelley - control freak? Really? Who would have guessed that! Just chill until you get back from the wedding. BTW, where are the dress pics?

Ginger - I love the library but never get there. Good to have your kids interested in reading. I have one who reads and one who hates it. I also looked at your blog - pretty walk you get to take and such cute kids!

Welcome, Tricia! Sounds like you're on you way. Don't worry about the numbers, just listen to your body.

Rachel - Great news! Glad you're feeling better. Go slowly and build momentum so you can keep going.

To those of you with teens - this too shall pass and they will actually turn into nice human beings you want to be around.

Cecelia - I am with you on it being an off eating day.

I went to the zoo with my aunt and cousin whom I haven't seen in a long time and then we went to Chili's. I thought I was being good with the small salad, guiltless grill dressing and 4 oz. chicken. Then my cousin ordered the molten chocolate lava cake. At least we split it three ways LOL. And at home I ate a taco from Taco Bell. Ugh. No dinner then back at it again tomorrow. Tomorrow I weigh in for my third week. I hope I didn't do too much damage. The walking we did was very slow because my aunt is 80 and my cousin has back problems.

Can't believe it is so late in the day. Have other things to attend to. "See" y'all tomorrow! Where's Mitchell? Having fun somewhere I hope.

~Zoe

Merry Christmas!

Ugh, long day. I took my girls swimming for a couple hours this morning, and now they're napping before the evening rush of activities! I'm not napping, but I should be! Today has been an off eating day for me. I've had tidbits of stuff here and there, which I'm sure will add up! I didn't have fresh milk for my morning slimfast shake, so I tried just skipping breakfast. My nose is super sensitive, so I won't drink milk that's been open for more than 2 days. Grosses me out! Blah! I'll go track after this and see what's left over for dinner!

Tracy-Just keep hanging in there and coming back. Have you tried reading any of the SP articles for suggestions about meds? My dr. gave me an antidepressant to treat my PMDD, but didn't tell me that it also is used to treat anorexia by causing the body to crave carbs! Yeah, just what I needed!! It also put me to sleep 24/7 and caused horrible headaches, so I quit. Be careful with your dosage and check with your doctor!

Shelly-Glad you got the green light. Maybe some vitamin M? Mortin is the Army's miracle cure-all! Congrats to your daughter. Isn't Wilamina a modeling agency? Sometimes all it takes is even a pinkie toe in the door. How exciting!

Ginger-I left you a comment on your blogspot. What a beautiful walk you go on! Mine is dreadfully boring. I signed up for blogspot this week but haven't had a chance to play with it much. We signed up for summer reading, but we'll be on vacation for the end of the summer party. You're so good to be drinking your water!

Tlranel, I hear p90x is tough. A friend started it a while back, and I had to ask what it was. Pretty intense from what I hear. Numbers stress me out too! My oldest hit 13 back in April, so we reside in teen-ville as well! Welcome!

Rachel, a half pound is still a half pound. sure, in a month that's only about 3lbs, but in a year?? It adds up is what I'm getting at!

Whew, that was a lot to respond to! Anyone seen Mitchell? She must be busy!

~Cecelia~

Shelly,

Thanks for the support! Sorry about your knee. I can only imagine how frustrating it is. If the scale doesn't cooperate with you tomorrow, just remember that it is a TEMPORARY setback. Let your body heal and then you'll be able to make up for it in no time!

Rachel - Thatís great news about the weight loss. Iím sure that was a relief! Take it easy on the exercise like you said, youíll be just fine.

TL - Welcome! I hope you get the results you want. Sometimes the scale is unkind but donít give up hope, it will eventually move in the right direction.

Ginger - Oh I do sympathize with the teenager avoidance. I regularly want to run far far away. I love my oldest to pieces and then there are the days I want to squeeze her into a million pieces. I will go check out your blog later today.

So my knee is throbbing. After the workout this morning I have decided to wait to do any more cardio until we get back from our trip that we are taking late next week. It just doesnít feel right. I called my PT, he agreed, so I wait another 10 days or so. Iím not a patient person and I am a control freak so not being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it is really annoying to me. lol But I know its best, I just donít have to like it. Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am dreading it. I've been good this week to not get on the scale at all. I'm worried about having a set back not being able to work like I want. ***fingers crossed***

Today I'm having a much better day than I have for the past week. I am actually able to get up and around. I'm not hurting like I was either. I think that I'm finally over the lull I was having. The other good news is that at weigh-in today I hadn't gained any weight but rather had lost a half a pound. That was good news for me since I haven't been able to exercise for the past week.

I don't have much scheduled for today other than to do email and read. When my husband gets off work I will have to go and pick him up as I dropped him off this morning. I'm not sure if I will get on the bike today or not. I don't want to push it to soon. I'm also going to start slower than I did before as I think maybe I was doing too much too soon. I'll see how it goes.

Ha ha! I understand. My stepchildren are 14, 12 (will be 13 in August), and 11. I frequently would like to run far away emoticon

Hey there TLRANEL! welcome welcome! Congrats on the shrinking waistline!

I think it was Zoe who asked for walk pictures. I started a blog and threw up a bunch of them. There isn't much variety as everything is green but you might like them.

I also put up some photos of my kids. They are 9 and 11. Their birthdays are in September and it's just closer and closer to teen-ville. No wonder I want to exercise, so I will have the endurance to run far, far away!

Hey all,

I'm new to the "SBUDDIES" threads, but am hoping to join in and get more connection and interaction. Thursday is weigh-in day for me. I'm trying not to think about it much because I'm always slow to see results when I start a workout regimen. Awhile back, I was doing P90X, had been at it for 3 weeks, and gained weight. I hadn't changed my eating. According to a body fat monitor, my body composition didn't change either, but I went down a pants size. So I try not to stress the numbers too much, even though I want to see them go WAY down.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Morning! It's a wonderfully slow start to my work week. I was still in my car this morning when I finished my first 4 cups of water. It's not that I am all that thirsty, I'm just bored. LOL I went to the library to sign the kids up for summer reading and registration doesn't start till the 22nd! Anyway, now I just get to go back next Tuesday. It's not a bad thing though. I rented a new audio book for the drive to work. It's Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Honestly, I picked it up for lack of anything else I wanted to hear and I am enjoying it.

TRACY - emoticon I know it sucks when there is something that's keeping you from what you want to be doing. It's not fair and I am so down with joining into the pity party.
I know you're trying and I give you (if you'll excuse the phrase) "mad props" for still sticking in here when you're feeling like it's over. There are days when I want to eat through all of Baskin - Robbin's 31 flavors.

Shelly - that's fantastic! How long until you're back to full use?

Zoe - I hope the zoo was great fun!

Good morning all! I got the green light yesterday to start walking. So I went out this morning. I didn't go far, 1.5 miles, and I didn't go fast. But my leg sure can tell I did something different. Lots of ice and a tighter wrap today. But boy it felt good to get out to exercise instead of being inside. Have a great day all! I'm off to run kids and errands.
