I am out of commission for at least 2 weeks. I tore the adductor muscle. I have some therapy over the next 2 weeks, plus my knee and lower part of my quad are wrapped. Ice, rest and elevation. Then in 2 weeks I will be reevaled to see if I can get on a stationary bike and maybe (if I am lucky) on our elliptical. It may be 6+ weeks before I can run again. This sucks! However, I am happy it is nothing bigger than this. I can do 2 weeks and slowly rebuild. That's ok with me although I would like it to be less. Now to simply maintain until I can start moving again.

Cecelia- I'm so glad your husband is home. I'm sure you're stress level will lower.

Mitchell- Good luck with the presentation.

Zoe- YEEHAW! that your husband is joining in. :) I hope he can help turn his life around and you guys have many more long years ahead of you.

Ginger- I understand you have to work and have a family. :) We're still here whenever you need us.

Mom6- I feel you on the tired front!

Shelly- I hope you get good news from the MRI.

I'm hating on my new meds. I hate how it makes my stomach feel. :( But apparently, it's working because I'm doing better than I was. I get to sew my clothes tomorrow, hopefully. :) I'm excited, I got a pretty skirt pattern from the internet, and a pants pattern. :) Anyways, I'll check in on you guys later.

Hi ladies. The MRI is done but I won't have results until later today. I am going to a sports massage therapist in about 2 hours. My knee pain is interesting. The doc doesn't think there is damage but he just wants to make sure. I can lift my leg straight and bed it behind me like when doing a quad stretch. I can walk with limited pain. But I cannot pick it up to say go up the stairs. Its really bizarre. And the more I have been on it today the more there is a constant dull ache. I tried excercising this morning without doing any cardio or using my legs and it just plain sucked!!! I hate working out indoors. Being outside is such a mental health thing for me. I need fresh air to clear my head. I will not let this set me back though. I can't! I will find a replacement for excercise. I'll be back when I know more.

Morning ladies,

I'm tired. I'm thinking I might find a nap this afternoon. Last night I was hoping to pick up my husband and be home by 1am. It was 2am. Then we were up by 8am to pick up the girls. But I'm still tracking and hanging in there. It's nice to have him home, and the girls are happy again.

I guess we're all anxious to hear from Shelly. Let's hope it's good news!

Zoe-That's great news about your husband getting on track with the program. It makes life easier. I never imagined my eating was so out of control until I started tracking where it was all going. PS-Sleeping late with the hubby would have been nice, but it just didn't happen!

Cecelia - so glad you're hubby is home! Guess you won't be on here early today - better things to do!

Mom6 - so glad you're turning it around with only 30 lbs. I keep putting it off saying it wasn't that bad or some other lame excuse and now it's 80. Lessons learned better late than never.

Shelly - good luck with you MRI, it does sound like a ligament though. My dh tore his achilles and his foot just wouldn't move when he tried to move it. Can you swim instead of run?

Mitchell - good luck with the presentation. What is it on?

Ginger - yes, today is a new day. Take each new day alone without the problems of yesterday or the worries of tomorrow. You can do this; we're here to help.

For me? Well my hubby who has major health problems has seen me track everything so now he is ready to try to keep track of his food and he wants to start walking too. Yippee! He was literally killing himself (as was I). I'm going to do his SP for him because there is no way he would do that, but I'm happy to do it.
