The picnic went really well today. We went to a nice park that has covered pavilions that you can use. We sat and ate and talked. It was really great. I'm so glad that I was able to get out for awhile today.

Rachel, Aww, a picnic sounds like fun. Let us know how it went. I'm in the same boat as Zoe... it's blazing hot here in central Texas! Blah. I hate the heat!

Zoe, I'll check in on your blogs tomorrow. That's one of the many things on my "To Do" list. I think it's great! Lots of laughs?

Shelly, I'm so sorry to hear about your knee. I hate those times in life when you just can't seem to get a break. You're doing great so far, and I don't see this stopping your progress. Might go a little slower, but I don't think you'll give up, not with how far you've come. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. There's always arms and abs?

Mom6, I think it'll come back. The past 2 days have been pretty good for me. My motivation will find it's way back once I start making progress. Just have to keep more good days coming.

I did ok today with eating out. Burgers and fries for lunch, but just a 1/4lb and split the fries with my 2 little ones. Dinner went ok. I had a bit of wiggle room, so splurged with the kids and had some ice cream after dinner. Grandma is keeping the kids tonight. My husband is getting home tonight after being gone for a month!! Yay!! The flight lands at 11:20pm, but by the Army isn't always quick to get them off the plane and released. I'm hoping to be in bed by 1am! Remember that movie I was going to walk during? I only made it for 3 miles, but at least I didn't sit on my butt for that long! Have a good night. Chat again tomorrow!

hey ladies...just got back from exercising and reading posts! Shelly!!!!! Life needs to lend you a REPRIEVE! Plz let us know what the MRI says. I know is has to be disappointing:(...would be for me too. Sometimes life hands us lemons and then we search a LONG while for the sugar and water:(. Hoping things get on an UPSWING soon!

Cecelia - I know what you mean. I distort my body image to be SMALLER than it actually is. If I look at a VIDEO then i'm like...geez I didn't realize:( I know the motivation will come when you are ready. It's SO HARD to find it sometimes. Prayers to find what you desire and need.

AuntR - YAY for picnic! I work out of my home and there are WEEKS that can go by with the bank/grocery being my only OUTINGS. I'm better when I plan to do something for myself at least once a week. Now I'm going SOMEWHERE else to exercise at lst 4 times a week and I'm better being out and among PEOPLE. I'm a social creature and it does depress me when I don't take time for me.

Zoe - I fight the "all or nothing" thing, too. It's like OH WELL, I ruined TODAY. That's what got me 30lbs overweight:( I still struggle with that but am learning SLOWLY that one cookie does not a diet destroy. To praise myself for STOPPING and not beat myself up because I'm not perfect. No one is. Goodluck to you!!

So tomorrow afternoon I get to have an MRI on my knee. It appears that I have torn something, possibly my MCL. I can walk on my leg, stand on it, put all sorts of weight on it but I can't pick it up to go up the stairs or any height higher than that. Needless to say I am so upset over this. I will know more tomorrow so i am not going to get worked up too much. More tomorrow

Hi all, I was busy yesterday and didn't get in on the conversation so I'll jump in today.

Someone mentioned the all or nothing mentality and that was(is) me. In addition to this though I also have what I call linkage - I link things together that really don't need to be linked, like I'll diet if I'm exercising too or if I didn't diet then why bother exercising. That combined with the I blew the calories already so why not have that hot fudge sundae is how I got in this mess.

And yes, it took me 53 years to get where I am so I image it'll take more than 6 months to get out of here. Gotta remember that and just keep the trend steady.

Rachel - a picnic sounds so nice, do you and your hubby do this a lot? Maybe when we have good outside weather here again, around November, I can drag mine outside to have a bite.

Shelly - how is your daughter doing?

Good morning. My husband and I have planned some fun for today. We are going to go on a picnic. We have pretty much already planned what we are going to take with us. Now to just get it all together so that we will be able to go. I'm not in too much of a hurry about it because he is still sleeping. We will just go whenever it is that we get it all put together. I'm hoping that the weather stays nice because I really want to do this. I need to get out of the house more as I find myself just staying inside all day most everyday. Hope that everyone has a terrific day.

Thanks TRACY, I figure if i just keep logging in, something will click. I'm not as motivated as I once was when I tried losing weight 3 years ago. I ballooned up to 224, and that was my rock bottom. I think more than anything, I'm in denial about what I look like. I keep thinking it's not that much and not that bad. I need to get it in check before it gets out of control again. Thanks for the encouragement!

Shelly, Good luck with your phone calls. I hope you get to feeling better. Don't let it get you down!

Mom6, don't forget to take some time for yourself too! Easier said than done, I know all too well!!

I'm scared to leave the house today. I'm going out with one of my friends today. Sadly, we have to drive about an hour to find decent fabric stores. My friends don't really pressure me to eat badly. It's me who can't say no. I'm really going to try this time. I'll check back in later!

Busy busy day again today. Tried to run this morning but my body was not cooperating. My legs are very weak and painful. I had a hard time getting my right knee to bend. I struggled walking home slowly. I'm making some calls today to see what I can do about it. Maybe I just need a massage. emoticon I'll check in this afternoon when I have time.

Good Morning, buddies! Yesterday was SO BUSY that I haven't read posts even:( Going to go back and read:)

Hope your day starts well! The scale and I are having "Issues!,!" but I am losing inches. HMMMMM...I have this drink I do when FAT refuses to leave...apple cider vinegar, hot water, honey. Sometimes it will help clear out all those left over toxins.:) ANYHOW...hoping that this week will show progress; I need to quit weighing DAILY as my weight and body water fluctuate so much! Here's to a good day for ALL of us! CHEERS to YOU!
