Ooh! Lissyana, may I come with you?! I want to be on a cruise, too. I would like a brightly colored citrus drink with a purple umbrella while I lounge by the pool in my new black swimsuit. Ooh! And a floppy beachy hat with dark glasses.

Mine would be to be able to do the things I have avoided for years cause of my weight. I want to live life and enjoy it too. And life doesnt happen at the all you can eat restaurant lol. My reward to myself for loosing the weight is to go on a "Cruise!!!"

I want to look like I fit in with my family. My husband is tall and thin, my kids are tall and thin... I am short and chubby. At least if I lose some weight I can be one of those things! I would really like my "inner fat kid" to be internal! LOL

My Dad dying of a heart attack. He refused to take care of himself and it finally killed him. I refused to put my kids through that so I decided to change my life.

So many things are "thinspiration" to me!
-- Seeing old friends who have lost weight
-- The fact that my ex-boyfriend friended me on facebook
-- Fashion blogs. I think it's definitely possible to be fashionable and look GREAT without being a size 2... but still, fashion seems to fit better on a size 4... okay a 6 (which is more of a realistic goal for me)
-- FIT MOMS AT THE GYM. They're awesome. I want to look and be just like them.
-- Thinking about how great it would feel to finally accomplish something I've been thinking about doing for so long!

I find inspiration in my son. I am a late bloomer when it comes to having children. I was 33 when he was born. I'll be 35 come 6/18. And I want to be around as he gets older, and I want to play with my own grandchildren someday. I don't want to be nothing but a photograph of an overweight person that they never got a chance to meet. Also, there is my friend Amanda. She lots 125lbs in 18 months. She looks phenomenal! I know I have more to lose than she does, but I really know someone in real life that has lost that much and is keeping it off. This makes it more "real" to me than seeing it on tv or reading about it. She inspires me and lifts me up. She's truly a wonderful person.

I have many sources of inspiration for wanting to lose the weight but the most pressing one that is motivating me to do it NOW is my sister's wedding coming up in March. I'm the oldest sibling and we have taken a sibling photo at each of our weddings so far and in each one I've looked and felt horrible. My sister is the last sibling to marry and I need the picture from her wedding to reflect the real me that is stuffed down inside this soft, squishy mess.

My inspiration is that I'm 50 now and want to be around for when my daughter has children, I want to have the energy to play with them. There are many things in my life that I have put off because of the weight and I want them.

I want the skinny jeans, the better health, trying things, etc. I want it all.

What motivates/inspires me isn't as much as a "what", but a "who"...

And it's all the people I've seen and heard of who had a lot of weight to lose, and they did it!

What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

3 1/2 years ago I was in the best shape of my adult life. Then tragedy struck our family and I started to comfort eat. In this process I got pregnant with baby #2 (long story). I was 212 lbs at delivery. 7 months later I was pregnant with baby #3 and delivered him weighing in at 215 lbs. I was miserable. I made excuse after excuse and just kept waiting for "the right time" to start taking control. I made some small changes over the last year but never stuck to them. I made up my mind 4 weeks ago with the help of my hubs that we were changing the way we were living. So now I am down 16 lbs and he is down 13.

My constant reminder of where I want to be is my profile picture. The picture is from Feb 2007. I will be there again, soon!

I was obese as a child and teenager. I lost weight in college and managed to keep it off until I turned 40. I had wanted to be in the best shape of my life when I turned 40, but it didn't happen. I gained 25 lbs and I just wasn't happy with how I looked or how I felt. I wanted to be fit and, ok, sexy! Just because I'm entering middle age, doesn't mean I should give up. I joined Spark in January 09 and I've lost close to 30 pounds. I feel great and I can finally say that 'm in the best shape of my life. If I can do it, anyone can!! Best of luck on your Spark Journey everyone! Libbie

Just curious as to what is the motivation behind everyone's weight loss? Mine is that the first three years of college I've let myself go and have gained some weight and pants sizes. I wasn't too happy with how I looked to begin with and so it's only gotten worse. So my goal it to get into shape before school starts at the end of August.
