I've been a little better at drinking water. I always have an iced coffee in the morning (I make it at home so I know what's in it) and then I decided it's water the rest of the day until I get my water in. If I finish by the end of the day then I treat myself to some tea.

My steps have been getting better. The last few days my hubby and I have been going on two walks a day and I get about 12,000-15,000 per day which is a lot better. I've gained about 15 lbs back and i need to get it off again.

Today is kind of gloomy but we went for our morning walk and will be going again this afternoon. Enjoying my week off so far it's just too bad the owner/editor can't manage to do one paper a year without me having to come in. I did a huge paper last week without him and managed just fine. Next year we plan to go away so he'll have no choice but to do it.

Well guess I better go, still working on my laundry and cleaning up. My hubby's mom comes tonight by train so need to get everything done. That should add lots of steps.

Bummer that you can't take a week off without having to go into work.

Put fruit or cucumber or mint or something in your water, Maybe the different taste will help encourage you to drink more, too.

Well I'm officially on holidays. No work for 9 days except 3 hours on Thursday. Apparently the owner/editor can't get his own paper done when I go for holidays.

Over the next week I'm going to concentrate on getting back to eating properly, drinking water and exercising. I bought myself a new water glass (looks like a mason jar with a lid) so hopefully that will give me incentive to drink water.

This morning after we got groceries we went for a walk. By 1 pm I was already over 8,000 steps. Should be easy to get to 10,000. I've been wearing my fitbit but had to take out the tracker and just put it in my pocket because I'm getting a rash on my wrist. Going to wait until it heals and then try wearing my other fitbit tracker (I have two different ones).

Today the only thing I'm doing is dishes and laundry and about half done that. Going to enjoy my week of holidays by relaxing at home. We're getting company for most of it so will do a lot of visiting and hopefully get some good walks in. It gets warm here during the day and evening so we're planning on walking in the mornings.

I actually work a desk job, I'm a graphic artist for one of the newspapers in my town. So I sit alot and when I'm stressed and have a lot of work to do I don't eat well. And I never remember to drink my water. When I'm at home I drink quite a bit of water and manage at least 30 minutes of exericse. Some days it's very hard to get my 10,000 steps in per day which is my goal.

Another week and then I am on holidays so I will be home and will be able to concentrate more on the water and exercise.

My scale is headed in the wrong direction, too. I was down 1 lb on Monday from last Monday but had to get on e the scale today for a weigh-in on a new team that is on Wednesdays. I'm up 2 lbs from Monday! I do know why though. I did not sleep well at all on Monday so yesterday I was very tired and eat very poorly. I know the 2 lbs are mostly water retention which should be gone in a few days.

What do you do for work? We own a small restaurant. Most days are ok but there are some days when it is difficult to stick to plans.

We live in a small Alberta town close to the mountains. We are surrounded by woods and trees and wildlife is known to wander into town. Growing up it was usual for us to look out the living room window and see moose or deer.

Safer just to exercise indoors on the treadmill or use exercise DVDs. I like Leslie Sansone.

Check the scale and it seems to be going the wrong direction. I guess it's back to tracking my food and see how many calories I'm eating. I'm fine at home on the weekends when my hubby can see what I'm eating (he's lost 60 lbs as well). At work it's bad because I am so close to many things including fast food and convenience stores.

I can't wait until I'm off on holidays and home for almost 10 days. Then I get back into drinking all the water and watching what I eat. There will be lots of exercise too.

Well I guess it's back to work I go.

Where do you live that you have to worry about bears in town? We have black bears and mountain lions here (south central Missouri) but they usually stay out of the towns, even in my town of less than 2500 people.

Our school tracks are separate from the schools so they let people use them when the school is not.

The schools aren't open unless there is school and they don't allow anyone in there. We do have walking paths in town but most of them are in or close to wooded areas and we have problems with bears and other wildlife.

Right now I am content to just walk on my treadmill in my basement. Put a movie on the dvd player and walk away. Managed 45 minutes today and an hour yesterday.

How is everyone else doing?

I there a track nearby that you can walk on? I know our schools here let people use the track if the school isn't. We also have a few small (1/2 mile) walking trails/paths/circles that we can walk on so we don't have to walk on the street.

How is everyone doing?

I started back exercising again. It's hard getting back into it but we can't walk outside anymore. We've almost been attacked by dogs the last few times and then even though a friend of mine is vision impaired and has a cane, people don't care. I don't know how many times we've almost been run over because people are in too much of a hurry or talking on their cell phone. So I went back to the treadmill. Did an hour today.

For those of you trying to lose weight, it can be done with hard work and patience. If you slip, get back on the horse and keep going. I've had many slip ups over the years but I finally found something that has worked for me. I will soon be celebrating my 2 year anniversary of losing 100+ lbs. I still have another 10-20 to go (as that's what the doctor would like) but I'm happy to be where I am.

Is anyone still around? Still managing to maintain my weight loss but the doctor wants me to lose another 10 lbs so I'm trying again. Gained a little with medication and not exercise the last few months.

Finally done with my Rally lots of other things coming up but i have to start on ME.

Had a pretty good week last week, lost another 2 lbs I think so I am 174. I have officially lost over 100 lbs (well 101). About another 10-20 lbs to go and I think I'm done. Sure hope I can maintain and not gain it back.

Forgot to log my food in this weekend but I know that I either met my caloric goal or was a little bit below. And my boyfriend always makes sure I get outside and get my hour walk in every day even though some days I don't feel like doing it.

How is everyone else doing? How is your weather? Ours has started to cool down so I know winter is on it's way, just hope it holds off for a while, until at least December.

Well need to get some work day, have a great day.

Well it's Wednesday, I only have 2 more days of work and then Friday we have to take the truck into the shop. Apparently our air bags have been recalled as they can deploy at any time, even while you are driving. That's not good.

Food is doing pretty good and I'm tracking everything. Can't seem to get rid of the pop totally but at least I've cut down.

Exercising every day, my BF makes me go for a walk every day after supper. Good thing too because sometimes I just wish I could sit there and do nothing.

Better get to work I guess. If you are reading this, have a 'one-der-ful' day.

Wow, was looking back in the posts and can't believe I haven't been on since July and not much activity. Where has everyone gone?

I haven't been doing well so decided I needed to get back on here. Started journalling food and still exercise an hour a day until the snow flies.

Last week I was on holidays and managed to lose 3 lbs which I'm pretty proud of. Almost back down to 175 and I've managed to keep off my 100lb weight loss for a year. I'll have to take a photo soon I guess, relatives are asking what I look like now.

Well back to work I go, hope everyone is having a good day.

Where has everyone gone? Must be busy with it being summer.

Lost 2.8 lbs this week which totally shocked me because I'm now under 180 again. Hopefully can get back down to 175 and keep going. Want to be in the 150s if possible. My goal is to get under 170 by the end of the year, we'll see. Been having problems sticking to my calories but have to get back at it.

Happy Tuesday.

Well I drank all my water yesterday but went way over on my calories. Have to start watching again what I'm eating. I almost hate coming to work because that is where I have my problems. If I could just stay at home I'd be fine.

Today going to drink all my water and stay under 2000 calories (yesterday was way over 2000 calories).

Good thing we walk every night.

Hello Everyone.

Have not been doing well, can't seem to get below 180. I get close and then I gain weight. Back up to 182.2 this week. Last week was 181. Need to really concentrate on what I'm eating and drinking and get back into journalling all my food. I never know what we're having for supper because that is the BF's responsibility. He's even been making lunch for me but we've been having alot of quesedillas (he's a chef and is experimenting). At least we go for walks every night.

How is everyone else doing? Our weather has been really hot, we had to buy 2 air conditioners this year, but it sure makes the house nice and cool which is great.

Well guess I better get to work.

Oh, 24 hour challenge today? To eat properly within my range and drink all my water (which has always been a challenge.)

Mixed feelings so far with the ChargeHR. Not used to having something on my wrist all the time. Think the HR monitor is working ok but sometimes doesn't show value on the display. Not sure why. Going to give it a few weeks and then decide if I want to keep it or exchange it for another One.

now lots to do before i fly to reno. I will work on exercising in pool and walk need to learn to exercise alone. son moving out so need to learn to shop and cook for one it is a good thing for him . he has grown up and i have to let him fly. but this mother hen is still worried for him.

I never had problems seeing my One in the sunlight. I just wish I hadn't lost it 1-1/2 years ago. Planning on getting a ChargeHR in the next couple of days.

Cindy: I hear you about up and down the same couple of pounds. That's how I've been for the last month or two. At least I'm not gaining more!

Yeah the earlier models do that. but the new ones you can see them. charges, charge hr, and surge. i had the one and ultra and could not see in the sunlight and the flex you had to look at the computer only.

Hello Everyone!

Haven't been on in a while, needed to take a break. Haven't been doing well, doing the yo-yo weight loss again. Lose 2 lbs gain 2 lbs, etc.

Every night my BF and I go for a walk which is nice. I'm glad he's finally walking outside. I'm getting at least 12,000 a day average which is good. Love my fitbit, glad it keeps track. The only thing I wish is that it showed me how many steps without having to go into the app to check.

Well better get some work done have a great day.

I am working today so it should be easier. i have a hard time getting out to exercise. i hate going alone. also dont like to bother people. dont have any close friends.

Went to church with mom then we did a new members meeting. we are going to love this church. then we went to eat then took mom shopping. i got some thread now need to learn how to use sewing machine. anyways last couple days havent been best weight loss wise.

I like the charge. wish would of got the HR. may get it or even the surge at a later date. right now happy with the charge.. I did not like the one as could not see it too well unless indoors and like how the charge shakes when i met my goal.

today is day 4 on cabbage diet. i am on the down slide of 7 days. scale is going down. then i will go back on exchange plan I am drinking more water. so thats good. i got out walk and made my 10,000 steps and beyond.

Hey there anyone out there?

I've been doing really good this week, only 2 servings of pop which is down from my 5 and eating has been very healthy at home other than the salad rolls I had today for lunch. They were delicious, shrimp, lettuce and vermicilli noodles wrapped in rice paper.

What is everyone else up to? Our weather here is nice, over 20 degrees so my BF and I have been walking every night after supper.

Well guess it's back to work for me, done in less than 3 hours and then home for the weekend.

Good afternoon all. Today is a holiday for me because of Victoria Day. Yay, I had a 4 day weekend, it was wonderful. BF and I have been doing alot of walking, over 15,000/day.

Lost another pound this week which I was a little surprised at. We have changed what we eat a bit and have been doing more walking.

My goal today is to drink all my water, get my steps in (already over 10,000) and eat within my caloric range.

I am hoping to start my plan tomorrow so here is my challenge for the plan
since i have been sick i am going to make them light but can increase it as i feel better


1. Journal all foods (will track exchanges as this becomes more consistent) must measure
2. Start with 7,000 steps and increase to 10000 steps as i become more active.
3. Less sitting
4. Drink water
5. Exercise cardio 3x/strength 2x 10 min more when consistent

Water - at least 112 oz
Exercise - at least 15 minutes of either using the peddler, the wii, or one of the videos I have picked out.

Good Morning, Happy Monday! Well we'll see, I have nothing to do at work so it's 7.5 hours of sitting here until I get something to do.

Managed to lose 1 lb this week which I'm pretty happy about. My BF and I have been walking 2.5 miles every day after supper and it takes us about 50-60 minutes which isn't too bad. I'm starting to walk faster so I can keep up with him.

Not much else happening, the weather is finally nice here. Going shopping tonight we're looking for an inexpensive barbecue and an air conditioner. It's already getting too hot in the house and my BF doesn't like heating up the kitchen. I'm looking forward to a barbecue.

My 24 challenge for today is to get my water in. I still struggle with this so hoping to get in my 8 glasses today.

Well I gained 1 lb last week, not happy about it. I blame it on what I ate Sunday. My boyfriend made homemade hummus, pita bread and greek salad. OMG so delicious. He also made marinated lemon chicken for supper. Yesterday I also ate a couple of things I shouldn't, got into the chocolate again.

Today I'm trying to be careful. Had a homemade egg mcmuffin for breakfast made with egg whites, ham and cheese and an english muffin. For my snack I brought a banana with yogurt and hummus and pita bread. For supper I believe we're having stir fry.

My boyfriend and I have also been walking every day (except Saturday) and we walk for an hour. I think it's helping, that way I don't have to go on the treadmill which I find boring lately.

Well guess I better get some work done since the boss is here and he's sitting in the next office.

Have a 'onderful' day.

Happy Sunday! Brand new week! I didn't track last week so need to work on that and I have an exercise plan in place for this week - woohoo!

Today I have one more report to write and DH needs to run to my mom's to fix her computer. I'm trying to go with him. I would like to go shopping on the way there or back - he seriously needs new to him pants. If we can't find any at the thrift stores we will have to go to Kohl's or Penny's but it needs to be done - not only are they falling off (he's lost about 15 lbs) but they are falling apart emoticon

Glad you were able to get your water in Debbi.

I didn't end up making the Jillian Micheals water last night for today. Just have been very focused on drinking plenty today.

CT - it is distilled water/purified water (about 48 oz), 1 cup of dandelion tea, 2 tbsp. of lemon juice and 1 tbsp. of 100% cranberry juice. I don't know if it really did anything but it did help me get my water in when I was drinking it.

Deb - what is Jillian Michaels water? Sounds interesting.

24 hour challenge met, drank lots of water, did over 13,000 steps and managed to get BF to go out for a walk. We walked for about an hour and it was nice to get some fresh air. Now hopefully I can get him to keep walking every night after supper.

Glad your foot is doing better and you didn't get the snow CT.

24 hour challenge complete - I've already filled my water cup 3 times and I am about to go fill it again. I don't know why it is so hard at home. I need to make up some of the Jillian Micheals water for tomorrow though. Every bit helps with weighin on Wednesday. I hate say it but I was pleased this morning with the number - I'm just worried that it was a false low because I didn't drink enough water over the weekend.
