This path has everyone of us walking down every so often. when we get on this path we should take a second. try to refocus on our goals, see where we are not doing what our dreams would take us.see the whole picture in order to get to where you want to be you must have a plan. to become a millionaire you have to make money . to lose weight you have to change the way you look at food . not easy . very very hard . this why we are here to help one another get to the end of the path and then stay upon the goal path to keep it off . laugh at yourself and smile when you feel low . at times i am lower then a snake with my feelings and could lick clean the dirty boots of that cowboy that has ridden the horse all day . be the bell of the ball and post often .. sending kind thoughts to you . wishing you great success . emoticon emoticon emoticon

There are definitely times when being healthy just seems so dang hard! I feel ya girl. The good news is that that feeling generally doesn't last too long and there are lots of ways to get your "Spark" back ;) I love reading motivational blogs from other people, and posting on message boards is great too, as well as just reading about problems that other people are having can really help you to know that you are not alone in this at all.

Are you getting your exercise in? Even though it can be tough to find the time, it really helps to stabilize my mood and therefore making it way easier to make smart food choices and really listen to my body. Trying something new in this realm is always good for "sparking" too. Like a new workout DVD or a new class, that always gets me excited to exercise.

For food, I just try and think about every time I eat as a great opportunity for fruits and vegetables, if I don't have at least one serving, even in a snack, then there is sort of a "wasted calories" happening.

I hope that helps in some ways, but ultimately it is about all the little choices you make everyday and saying yes to yourself, because you are going to feel so much better!!!

Hi, I'm Linda. And I may have the solution for you. Make the meal for you family, that's not the problem. It's the size of plate you use. If you would eat from a cup and saucer plate and only fill the plate one time with what ever you want, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. I did this and lost
25 lbs. I must tell you a secret though. When I lost the weight, I was 15 years younger. Don't let that get YOU down. It's worth a try. Good Luck and Take Care. emoticon

I know how you feel, you think I'll just have a little treat and then things get completely out of control.

Adding fruit can make a HUGE difference, you get your fiber and your kids think they're getting a treat. Skip the diet food if you can, its loaded with sodium and refined sugar and can actually make you gain weight.

Recipe's, atleast for me are a little tougher because my kiddos could eat chx nuggets everyday. lol SPark has some really great options, look under Healthy Lifestyle and its the 2nd one from the bottom.

Hi there--I am new to the team and I thought I'd go ahead and post here.

I am feeling pretty discouraged. Usually I am fairly good about meeting my calorie count for the day, but the past couple days I have not been and today is going to be hard as well. I get so excited when I see the pounds go away, but then when I cheat or go over my calorie mark I get so down in the dumps.

I need to find some recipes that will work for me because I am so picky. I also have kids and a husband so I need to make everyone happy.

Do you guys have any suggestions on snacks/recipes to help keep me on track or advice? Thank you so much in advance.
