MAYBE JOY NEEDS TO DO THAT---AND THAT SOUNDS MUCH LIKE WHAT SHE WAS EXPERIENCING---SO IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THAT FOOD.

I THINK I SOLVED MY NOTIFICATION PROBLEM ...

I WENT IN AND EDITED MY SUBSCRIPTION CHOICES AND UNSUBSCRIBED TO EVERYTHING THAT WAS OUTDATED OR NOT PERTINENT. I HAD SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT I SIGNED UP FOR WHEN I FIRST BELONGED IN 2008 ... SOME OF THEM HAVEN'T HAD POSTINGS IN THEM SINCE 2008/2009!! THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A COUPLE HUNDRED (OR MORE) IN THE LIST. NOW I ONLY HAVE CURRENT SUBSCRIPTIONS AN GROUPS IN MY LIST ...

SURE HOPE THAT FIXED EVERYTHING ... ALL OF A SUDDEN I AM GETTING MEGA MAIL FROM SPARKS! YEAH!!

LECATES ... emoticon EVERYTHING WE ATE AT THE CROP WAS BAD ... I WASN'T AT ALL HAPPY WITH THE FOOD THEY SERVED ... AND WHAT'S UP WITH NO UNSWEETENED ICE TEA!!! I HAVE BEEN PLAYING WITH BLADDER ISSUES SINCE SPRING ... ACTUALLY THOUGHT I MIGHT HAVE BEEN PASSING STONES ... NO PROBLEMS SINCE THE END OF JUNE. THEN I FELT AWFUL ON SATURDAY EVENING AND WOKE TO PAIN AND FREQUENT TRIPS TO THE BATHROOM IN THE MORNING. STARTED TO SUBSIDE BY MID AFTERNOON SO HAD A GREAT TIME PUTTING THE POND TO SLEEP ... THEN THE WORST SET IN AND BY MIDNIGHT I HAD A TEMP OF 101.5. STILL FEEL CRAPPY TODAY BUT FREQUENT TRIPS HAVE SUBSIDED AND TEMP IS DOWN SOME. I'M MOSTLY TIRED FROM BEING AWAKE MOST OF THE NIGHT ... WILL TAKE A NAP THIS AFTERNOON AFTER I GET SOME WORK DONE AROUND THE HOUSE ... BUT WILL SET MY ALARM SO I DON'T SLEEP TOO LONG ... I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP TONIGHT!

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY. HAD A BAD WEEKEND AS I HAVE BEEN SICK THE WHOLE WEEKEND. I GET THIS WAY EVERY YEAR ABOUT THIS TIME AS THE RAGWEED AND GOLDEN ROD ARE BLOOMING. LOVE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR THOUGH. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THE JOB YET. HOPE I GOT IT TOO. MADE SOME SOUP LAST NIGHT AND BOY WAS IT GOOD. HAVE SOME THINGS THAT I HAVE TO PACK UP AND MOVE AS DADDY WANTS TO TEAR OUT THE LIVING ROOM AND HAVE IT REDONE BEFORE COLD WEATHER.

WOW WHAT A WEEKEND HAD A FUN TIME SCRAPBOOKING WITH JOY AND HER DTR ... GOT THERE AND HAD TO RUN HOME RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE I FORGOT MY CUTTER!!! CAN'T SCRAP WITHOUT A CUTTER! ALSO PICKED UP A COUPLE TOTE BAGS TO PUT STUFF IN SINCE MY CARRIER CAME APART WHEN I PULLED IT FROM THE CAR.

WASN'T FEELING THE GREATEST BY THE TIME WE CAME HOME ... ENDED UP WITH SOME BLADDER THING GOING ON YESTERDAY ... AND HAD A MISERABLE NIGHT LAST NIGHT. WAITING TO HEAR FROM DR. TO SEE IF HE CAN ORDER A MED FOR ME ... HE ISN'T IN THE OFFICE TIL TOMORROW AND I NEED TO SEE HIM ABOUT SEVERAL OTHER THINGS AS WELL ... DON'T WANT TO SEE THE PHYS ASST ... DON'T EVEN KNOW HER! SAD THAT HE HAD TO MOVE INTO MY MOM'S DR OFFICE FOR HIS SEMI-RETIREMENT ... NOW I HAVE TO START LOOKING FOR SOMEONE NEW. DON'T LIKE MOM'S DR SO I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I WANT TO STAY THERE ... EVEN WITH ONE OF THE OTHER DRs.

WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL OVER THE WEEKEND ... AND SHOULD BE GREAT THE REST OF THE WEEK (EXCEPT FOR A LITTLE RAIN TODAY). I GOT THE POND PUT TO BED FOR THE WINTER YESTERDAY ... PULLED OUT ALL THE PLANTS THAT WON'T WINTER OVER, AND CUT BACK ALL THE REST. THE NET IS IN PLACE AND SHOULD KEEP OUT MOST OF THE LEAVES THAT FALL ... i'M NOT HAPPY THAT THE WATER ISN'T CLEANER ... STILL QUITE GREEN. WILL PUT IN NATURAL BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT ONCE A WEEK UNTIL THE POND FREEZES .. HOPING THAT WILL HELP.

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GOOD DAY ...

JOY, NOT VINCA VINE IN THE FRONT---THE OTHER KIND OF VINCA---SOME SAY THEY WILL COME BACK BUT THEY NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO GO TO SEED AS I NEED THE SPACE FOR WINTER PANSIES AND THE OTHER BED IS CLEARED FOR CHRISTMAS DECOR. I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING ISSUES AS THEY HAVE KIND OF DISAPPEARED ON HERE.
NANCY, I WILL GET THE INFO LATER TODAY AND POST IT FOR YOU. HOPE THE KNEE FEELS BETTER TODAY---TRY TO KEEP FLEXING THE KNEE WHEN YOU ARE UP OR IN A SITTING POSITION WHERE YOU CAN TO SEE IF THAT HELPS.

SNUCK IN THE BACK DOOR AGAIN. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING NOTICES, AND GETTING ON HERE, OR AM I JUST LUCKY.....

LECATES, JUST CUT THE VINCA VINE BACK. I PLANTED MINE ALMOST 20 YEARS AGO, AND IT BLOOMS WITH A PINK/LAVENDER FLOWER EVERY YEAR. IF I NEED SOME FOR A FLORAL DESIGN, I JUST GO CUT IT. IT SHOULD COME BACK IN THE SPRING, AND BE JUST FINE.

I AM FREEZING. HUBBY SAID HE WAS WARM, SO HE TURNED ON THE CEILING FAN. HAVING A CUP OF HOT TEA, AND CAME IN HERE TO PLAY.

PERT, HOPE TO GET BACK TO YOU IN A WEEK OR SO. WANT TO GET YOUR CD.

ROSES, GOOD LUCK WITH THE SECOND INTERVIEW. HOPE YOU GOT THE JOB.

IF YOU TAKE KIM'S ADVICE ABOUT PUTTING YOUR MEDS IN COFFEE GROUNDS, THEN AFTER A FEW DAYS, DUMP IT ALL IN A BAG OF USED KITTY LITTER, DOUBT IF ANYONE OR ANYTHING WILL BOTHER IT! IF IT'S A CAPSULE, YOU CAN ALWAYS PULL IT APART, AND JUST LET THE INSIDES HAVE COFFEE....

TOOK MOM OUT FOR LUNCH FOR HER BIRTHDAY TODAY. DH, MY BROTHER,HIS OLDEST DAUGHTER, HER 2 KIDS, AND ME. WE HAD A NICE VISIT. SUPPOSED TO TAKE HER TO ERIE TOMORROW FOR A NEW PHOTO FOR HER DRIVERS LICENSE, BUT THEY AREN'T OPEN, AND THURSDAY WILL BE THE NEXT "OPEN" DAY I HAVE, SO IF SHE DRIVES THIS WEEK AT ALL, SHE'S ILLEGAL!

NANCY, I USED TO KNIT A LOT, MADE MYSELF A SWEATER OR TWO, AND MADE MY SON ONE WHEN HE WAS LITTLE, OUT OF LEFT-OVER YARNS. LOOKED LIKE HE HAD A "COAT OF MANY COLORS". HE WORE IT UNTIL HE OUTGREW IT, AND HIS SISTER DID TOO, AND I PASSED IT ALONG, SO WHO KNOWS HOW MANY KIDS WORE IT...LOL NOW I MIGHT CROCHET A BIT IN THE EVENINGS, BUT WOULD RATHER READ, PLAY ON HERE, OR WORK ON SCRAPBOOKS.... HOPE YOUR KNEE IS OK, THAT MAYBE YOU JUST STEPPED WRONG OR TWISTED IT A BIT. I GET MY NEW KNEE IN ABOUT A MONTH.

I CAN'T REMEMBER WHO ELSE HAS POSTED, BUT PLEASE KNOW I AM NOT IGNORING YOU. IF I EVER GET THE NOTIFICATION ISSUES FIXED SO I'M ON HERE DAILY, I'LL CHAT WITH EVERYONE!

GOING TO DROP IN ON ANOTHER TEAM AND SEE IF THEY ARE STILL ALL THERE, AND LET THEM KNOW I'M STILL ALIVE AND KICKING...SORT OF..... HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK.

I HAVE BEEN FOR MY WALK, IT IS COOL BUT SUNNY, SUPPOSED TO BE WARMER THIS AFTERNOON, RIGHT NOW IT IS 53f,

I STOPPED TO SEE THE NURSE ON MY WAY IN. MY LEG BEHIND THE KNEE AREA IS BOTHERING ME. YESTERDAY I WAS USING A CANE TO GET UP FROM A SITTING POSITION, IT IS NOT AS BAD THIS MORNING BUT I STILL WANT IT CHECKED. SHE SAID THERE IS NO REDNESS, NO SWELLING AND NO WARMTH IN THE AREA AND I WAS GLAD TO HEAR THAT. I WAS BEGINNING TO WONDER IF FLIBITES(SPELLING) WAS SETTING IN.,, I SEE THE DOCTOR TOMORROW.

WELL GUESS MY DAUGHTER WILL BE CALLING SOON TO GET MY GROCERY LIST, I REALLY DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING ANYWHERE TODAY, IT WAS HARD ENOUGH WALKING KIRBY

LECATES PLEASE POST WHAT TO DO ABOUT THESE ADS AND SURVEY PAGES THAT KEEP COMING UP

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY emoticon

THEY WERE LOVELY PICTURES FOR BOTH SITES--LOVE THE FAIRY GARDEN---AND GAVE ME IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH A STUMP IN THE BACK YARD.
ROSES, HOW DID THE INTERVIEW GO?
NANCY, DON'T YOU JUST HATE THAT---IF I USED SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER, I TRY TO PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS OR TELL THEM I DID IT SO THEY CAN FIX IT. MY PAL LINDIE ON HERE JUST PUT AN ADBLOCK THING ON HER COMPUTER---SHE SAYS IT IS FREE---AND SHE IS NO LONGER GETTING THOSE POP-UPS---LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT ME TO POST WHAT SHE SAID.
WELL, I PULLED UP SOME STRAGGLY PLANTS---PULLED UP SOME MEANDERING GROUND COVER AND HAVE TRIED TO TRANSPLANT SOME OF IT ELSEWHERE---IF IT TAKES, FINE, IF NOT, OKAY, TOO. PULLED UP ALMOST ALL MY GLADIOLA BULBS---THINK I HAVE A COUPLE ELSEWHERE TO PULL UP--AND ONE IN THE FRONT IS JUST GETTING READY TO BLOOM SO THAT WAS LEFT IN THE GROUND---ON THE BACK DECK SO THEY CAN DRY OUT A BIT BEFORE I BAG THEM UP FOR WINTER STORAGE IN THE BASEMENT---THEN I DID GIVE SOME WATER TO THE PLANTS LEFT AS IT HAS BEEN SO DRY HERE---WILL NEED TO PULL UP THE VINCA WHEN I GO TO PLANT THE BULBS AND THE WINTER PANSIES BUT RIGHT NOW THEY ARE LOOKING OKAY---LITTLE STRAGGLY BUT I THINK BECAUSE OF LOW RAIN FALL. BUT AT LEAST THE BEDS ARE LOOKING A BIT MORE TIDY WITH THE GLADS UP AND THE OTHER ONES THAT ARE DYING PULLED UP, TOO.

DJSHIP46 - WONDERFUL PHOTOS AND YOUR FLOWERS ARE LOVELY!!

I HAD PLANNED TO PLANT BULBS THIS MORNING BUT IT'S POURING DOWN RAIN AND IN THE LOW 60'S. WE REALLY NEED THE RAIN, SO THAT'S OKAY. LOOKS LIKE I CAN PLANT LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

Good Morning everybody. The sun is shining and the temperatures are just right. Supposed to go back into the low to mid 80's this coming week. Love the cooler temperatures though. I have got to work on that presentation this weekend for October 10th on Plants with Winter Interest. There is nothing much gardening wise o do in the winter except to check for heaving of bulbs and plants and plan for next year's gardens. There are quite a lot of winter interest plants though. Cooking a new dish tonight- Whiskey Chicken in Peach Sauce. Sounds absolutely wonderful. Hope everyone has a great day and happy gardening.

I really don't have a huge area, those plants/flowers came and went over a three month period (July August September). The bowling ball covered with marbles was a fun project. I have three more balls to work on and hope to do better with each one. We also took a little trip into the central valley in Sept. Visited Wyntour Gardens in Redding, took pictures of the sites traveling to and from my sister's house also some of her garden... sdrv.ms/14Rqqr1 ... Hope you're all doing well and that this will be an invigorating fall season... I'm ready!!! ~~ Donna

ROSES ... GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR INTERVIEW ... YOU ARE LUCKY TO GET A PERSON TO PERSON INTERVIEW ... AND A SECOND ONE AT THAT! ALL MY SON USUALLY GETS ARE PHONE INTERVIEWS ... IN 5 MONTHS I THINK HE HAD ONE IN PERSON ... AND AT SEVERAL PLACES HE TRIED TO APPLY IN PERSON THEY TOLD HIM TO GO HOME AND APPLY ONLINE! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO FACE TO FACE INTERVIEWS???

LECATES ... KELLY BLUE DOESN'T GO BELOW 1993 SO WE PRINTED OUT A SHEET THAT GAVE US THE NADA RESULTS FOR OUR CAR ... OTHER THAT THE CURRENT DAMAGE IT WOULD PROBABLY RATE AS AVG TO HIGH VALUE (2700-4200)... IF THAT'S THE CASE I THINK WE WILL BE OK. THE ONE UNOFFICIAL ESTIMATE WE GOT WAS ABOUT 1700.

BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE ... SHOULD BE NEAR 70 BY MID AFTERNOON ... GOT MY CHICKEN WIRE OUT TO PROTECT MY PEONY TREE FROM BUNNIES IN THE SPRING ... SURE HOPE IT WORKS, I HAVEN'T HAD BLOOMS SINCE THE SECOND YEAR I HAD IT ... IT'S BEEN ABOUT 5 YEARS NOW. I THOUGHT I WAS GOOD LAST YEAR, BUT THEY MUST HAVE GOTTEN REALLY HUNGRY ... THEY GOT IT AFTER IT HAD ABOUT 6 INCHES OF NEW GROWTH ... THEY USUALLY GET IT JUST AS IT STARTS SPROUTING.

GOT THE NET OUT FOR THE POND ... SON HAS TO GET THE PLANTS OUT FOR ME TO CUT BACK ... I'LL REMOVE A LOT OF THE PLANTS THAT DON'T WINTER OVER WHILE I WAIT FOR HIM TO GET HOME TODAY ... WOULD LOVE IT IF HE WOULD GET CALLED INTO WORK, BUT I'M BETTING HE WON'T ACCEPT TODAY BECAUSE OF ABOUT 6 THINGS HE HAS TO DO AFTER SCHOOL. I'M NOT SURE IT GETS IT!!!

I SUPPOSE I SHOULDN'T COMPLAIN TOO MUCH ... HE DID GO BACK TO SCHOOL ... HE IS PAYING HIS OWN WAY AND IS SITTING AS A JR WITHOUT COLLEGE DEBT ... AND HE IS GOOD ABOUT HELPING OUT AROUND HOME ... LIKE LAUNDRY, MOWING HELPING ME WHEN I NEED IT IN THE GARDEN, AND EVEN CLEANING THE BATHROOM. HOWEVER, I DON'T LOOK AT HIS ROOM, BECAUSE I'M AFRAID OF WHAT I MIGHT FIND. DH WAS UP THEIR PAINTING WINDOWS EARLIER IN THE WEEK AND SAID IT WASN'T ACTUALLY TOO BAD ... MAYBE THERE'S HOPE FOR HIM YET!

LYNN, HOW SCARY! AND I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT AT THAT AGE, THEY PROBABLY WON'T FIX IT UNLESS YOU CLAIM THAT IT IS HISTORIC---WHICH HERE IN MD IS ANY CAR OVER 20 YEARS OLD---PROBABLY THAT IS WHAT KEPT YOU SAFE---BETTER MADE BACK THEN.
ROSES, IS THIS A 2ND INTERVIEW WITH LOWE'S? HOPE YOU GET THAT JOB!
I HAVE A LONG WEEKEND---OFF TODAY---SO HOPE TO GET OUT AND PULL A FEW PLANTS THAT ARE LOOKING SCRAGGLY IN PREPARATION FOR SOME WINTER PANSIES AND SOME BULB PLANTING.
NANCY IS HAVING SOME ISSUES WITH SPARK---SAYS SHE CANNOT GET OVER TO THE HUDDLE WALL---ANY IDEAS WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM? I TOLD HER SHE MIGHT HAVE HER PAGE SET ON TOO LARGE AND THAT MIGHT BE CAUSING THE ISSUE---HOPE SOMEONE ELSE HAS SOME IDEAS---I KNOW SOMETIMES THINGS JUST DO NOT BEHAVE FOR US ON THE COMPUTER---SOMETIMES IT IS OUR SERVERS FAULT, TOO.

This is going to be a busy morning. I have an interview at 10:30 at Lowe's, get my medicine, and go grocery shopping. Going to have homemade sloppy joe sandwiches, And going to bed as I have to start all over again tomorrow. The man is supposed to cut my grass this morning. SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE IS FINDING GOOD WAY TO ENJOY FALL ... LOVING THESE SUNNY MID 60° DAYS AND COOLER NIGHTS.

INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON ON MY WAY TO SEE MOM ... A BIG CONSTRUCTION VEHICLE DECIDED HE LIKED MY LANE BETTER THAN HIS OWN, BUT DIDN'T WAIT FOR ME TO BE OUT OF HIS WAY BEFORE HE TRIED TO MOVE IN!!! DID DAMAGE TO BOTH DRIVER SIDE DOORS (STILL USABLE) AND TOTALED THE MIRROR ... AND GAVE ME QUITE A JOSTLE! I'M FINE ... DON'T EVEN ACHE MUCH TODAY. YESTERDAY I WAS VERY SHAKY AND SORE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. THINK THE GOOD LORD WAS LOOKING OUT FOR ME ... ANOTHER FEW YARDS AND I MIGHT HAVE BEEN ON DISPLAY IN THE BAKERY SHOP'S SHELVES,

WAITING TO HEAR FROM THE AUTO BODY SHOP FOR OUR ESTIMATE AND IF THE CLAIM WENT THROUGH OR NOT ... DH ISN'T REAL HAPPY THAT HIS CAR GOT HURT ... I WORRY THAT IT IS TOO OLD TO WARRANT A REPAIR! '81 OLDSMOBILE OMEGA!

TODAY WE TOOK MY CAR IN TO CHECK AN OIL LEAK ... FOUND OUT IT WASN'T OIL, IT WAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND FLUID ... WON'T GET IT BACK UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON.

NEVER DID MAKE IT BACK OUT INTO MY GARDEN THIS WEEK SO WILL HAVE TO WORK A LITTLE HARDER TOMORROW.

SATURDAY I'M OFF TO A SCRAPBOOK CROP WITH JOY ... SHOULD BE FUN. I HAVE TO GET ALL MY PICTURES TOGETHER AND DECIDE WHAT SUPPLIES I WANT TO TAKE. I HAVE WAY TO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM ... SOMEDAY I MIGHT BE CAUGHT UP!

YESTERDAY GOT A BIT WARM HERE BUT TODAY IS COOLER WITH CLOUD COVER---BUT NOT MUCH CHANCE OF RAIN---WE COULD ACTUALLY USE SOME RAIN FOR THE GRASS AS I DON'T NEED TO CUT IT AND BEEN OVER A WEEK SINCE I CUT IT LAST. I HAVE OFF TOMORROW SO MIGHT GET SOME TIME TO PULL UP SOME PLANTS AND FIGURE OUT WHERE TO PUT ALL THESE BULBS I BOUGHT---I MIGHT HAVE TO GIVE SOME TO MY NEIGHBOR---LOL

BEEN COOL AND DRY FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS. HOSTAS ARE ALL PLANTED AND SOMEONE BROUGHT ME CUTTINGS FROM A WHITE ROSE, GOING TO GO DOWN AND GET THEM IN THE GROUND, ALTHOUGH I AM NOT TOO SURE THEY WILL CATCH, SHE SAID THEY WILL BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANY ROOTS ON THEM AT 11pm LAST NIGHT

SENT THE SWEATER OFF ON MONDAY AND SURE HOPE IT IS APPRECIATED. BOX ALONE COST A GOOD PENNY AT THE POST OFFICE. THEN THE CLERK ASKED IF I WANTED TO SEND IT EXPRESS DELIVERY AND WHEN HE TOLD ME THE PRICE (58.68) I SAID NO THANK YOU, REGULAR DELIVERY WILL DO.

OK OFF TO DO THE ROSES AND THEN TAKE KIRBY FOR HIS WALK, MIGHT DO THE WALK FIRST
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE emoticon

IT WAS CHILLY YESTERDAY AND ABOUT THE SAME HERE TODAY---HAD TO WEAR CLOTHES TO WATER AEROBICS AND CHANGE AFTERWARDS OUT OF WET SUIT. NEW HUMIDIFIER UNIT IN POOL AREA IS EVEN LOUDER THAN THE OLD ONE---AND SOMEHOW THEY HAVE MESSED UP THE HEATING SYSTEM SO THE ROOM WAS VERY COLD, TOO. I ENDED UP CUTTING MY WORKOUT SHORT AS I COULD NOT STAND TO BE ABOVE THE WATER IN THE COOL AIR---BUMMED ABOUT THAT.
HOPE EVERYONE IS ENJOYING COOLER TEMPS.

OUR HIGH TODAY WAS 14C (64F) BUT IS TO BE A BIT WARMER THE REST OF THE WEEK. I JUST HOPE IT GETS DOWN TO 0 TONIGHT TO FINISH OFF THE HORNETS SO I CAN GET MY GARDENING DONE. STILL LOOKING FOR HOLES IN THE GROUND LECATES AND KEEPING AN EYE ON THE WIND CHIME AND HEDGES. THEY SURE WERE ENJOYING THE SEDUMS TODAY! I STAYED INDOORS MOST OF THE DAY TRYING TO ALTER CLOTHING. IT'S SO HARD TO TAKE IN PANTS WITH A FRENCH SEAM DOWN THE OUTSIDE OR IF THERE ARE POCKETS - I CAN TAKE THEM IN IN THE INSEAM BUT THAT DOESN'T HELP IN THE HIP AREA. IN MOST OF MY PANTS, I'VE TAKEN IN BOTH SEAMS BY THE WIDTH OF THE PLATE UNDER THE NEEDLE ON THE SEWING MACHINE SO SINCE THE MATERIAL IS DOUBLE THAT WOULD BE APPROX. 4" ON EACH LEG. IF I COULD ONLY LOSE AS MUCH ON MY TUMMY!!! ON THE SHORTS, ESPECIALLY THE ONES I WEAR IN THE GARDEN, I TOOK IN A SEAM DOWN THE CENTRE FRONT OF EACH LEG FROM THE WAISTBAND TO THE HEM FRONT AND BACK. FOR THE SLEEVELESS TOPS, I HAD TO FIND A WAY TO CLOSE UP THE BOTTOM OF THE ARMHOLE SO MY BRA WOULD BE COVERED AGAIN WITHOUT TAKING IN THE TUMMY MUCH AND DID LIKE A DART UNDER THE ARMS AND FOR THOSE WITH A SAGGING FRONT, A DART IN THE SIDES OF THE NECKLINE SO THAT THE SHOULDERS AREN'T MESSED UP. MY DH KEEPS TELLING ME TO GET NEW ONES BUT I STILL WANT TO LOSE ANOTHER 30 LBS SO WANT TO WAIT TO DO THAT IF I CAN. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THE HORNETS WERE TRULY GONE - I COULD TAKE SOME OF THIS SEWING OUT INTO THE NATURAL LIGHT IN THE GARDEN!

HAVING A GOOD MONDAY ... MADE POT ROAST TO HELP WARM UP THE HOUSE. WE WILL PROBABLY SPEND MOST (IF NOT ALL) OF OCTOBER FINDING WAYS TO KEEP WARM WITHOUT HAVING TO TURN THE FURNACE ON! EVERY YEAR WE TRY TO MAKE IT AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, BUT NEVER HAVE MANAGED TO MAKE IT TO NOVEMBER.

SON IS FINALLY PLANNING TO TAKE THE AC OUT OF HIS WINDOW THIS WEEK. THE UPSTAIRS IN OUR SMALL CAPECOD GETS VERY WARM ON SUNNY DAYS, BUT OUT NIGHTS ARE COOL ENOUGH THAT HE SHOULDN'T NEED IT ANYMORE THIS SEASON.

DH IS UPSTAIRS HANGING OUT THE WINDOWS PAINTING THE TRIM AROUND THEM. THAT IS ABOUT ALL HE HAS LEFT EXCEPT FOR THE PEAKS. HE STILL ISN'T SURE HOW HE WILL DO THEM. IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS HE ACTUALLY PUT A WOODEN EXTENSION ON TOP OUR OUR PICNIC TABLE ... AND ANOTHER TIME WAS OUT ON A WINDY DAY WITH A LONGER ALUMINUM EXTENSION LADDER AND ALMOST BLEW OVER!!! i THINK HE SHOULD HIRE SOMEONE JUST FOR THOSE PEAKS. IT WOULDN'T TAKE VERY LONG AND THUS SHOULDN'T COST TOO MUCH!!

I HAVE TO GO OUT TOMORROW AND GET SOIL FOR POTTING SOME PLANTS ... I HAVE ABOUT 20 POTS TO FILL AND WINTER OVER. I HAVE CHICKEN WIRE TO PROTECT MY PEONY TREE FROM THE BUNNIES NEXT SPRING ... I FIGURE IF I ENCLOSE THE AREA NOW I CAN KEEP THEM OUT AND ALSO HAVE A NICE COMFY PLACE FOR THE POTS I'M FILLING. I'LL HEAP A BUNCH OF LEAVES ON TOP FOR ADDED WARMTH.

WE HAD WASPS NEST IN OUR VENT UP BY THE PEAK ON OUR HOUSE SEVERAL YEARS AGO ... EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK DH WOULD REACH OUT THE UPSTAIRS WINDOW AND SPRAY AFTER THEY LEFT IN THE MORNING AND AGAIN LATER IN THE DAY BEFORE THEY RETURNED. WE'VE NEVER SEEN ANY UP THEIR SINCE.

IT IS ONLY 57° OUT NOW ... SEEMS A LITTLE WARMER SINCE THE SUN CAME OUT. I DON'T THINK WE WILL MAKE IT TO 60° TODAY, BUT WE SHOULD BE IN THE MID 60/70'S THE REST OF THE WEEK ... MY KIND OF WEATHER FOR WORKING IN THE GARDEN.

HAVE A GOOD WEEK EVERYONE ...

BETTING THERE IS A NEST IN THAT WIND CHIME---ONE THING TO DO IS TO WATCH WHERE THEY ARE GOING AND THEN SPRAY THAT AREA---MY DH FOUND A NEXT THE OTHER YEAR WHEN TRIMMING SOME BUSHES BUT WE HAD SPRAY TO USE READY.
NANCY, I AM SURE YOUR FRIEND WILL ENJOY THAT SWEATER. DID YOU GET THOSE HOSTAS PLANTED? mY LILAC BUSH CAME IN THE MAIL AND NOW I NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO PLANT IT.

thanks Lecates but where to begin? I do remember finding such a hole in our yard as a child and we knew to always avoid that spot. I have about 13 perennial gardens and lots of grass - could be anywhere! I was looking out the kitchen window and noticed that there were some wasps going into our windchime under the carport - it has a wooden box above the chimes with a hole in it like a birdhouse would have - that too is a possibility. We also have a couple of hedges they could be in.

Lecates - no haven't found any more nests we got rid of 4 or 5 earlier this summer but they were tiny. They seem to come out of nowhere everywhere I go. There wouldn't be many of them around today but still can't garden as it's been raining all day - and I had other plans to work at the concession stand at the militaria show and sale at our armouries - one of my DHs projects. I'm pooped having started at the pool at 7, home to change and do my face, then to the armouries for 10 until 2:30. I came home and did my logging of food and exercise and started to answer e-mails. I spent over an hour on one and then lost it - grrrrr.,

I THINK THE LEAF BATTLE HAS ALREADY BEGUN ... THIS MORNING WE HAD A HEAVY RAIN AND I WATCHED AS THE LEAVES WERE FALLING RIGHT ALONG WITH THE RAIN. THE FRONT YARD LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS TO BE BAGGED! THEN THERE'S MY POND ... I WILL HAVE TO GET OUT EARLY THIS WEEK AND NET IT FOR THE WINTER ... THAT MEANS REMOVING THE PLANTS THAT WON'T WINTER OVER, CUTTING DOWN THOSE THAT WILL, AND SKIMMING ANY LEAVES THAT HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

PERT ... YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM ME SOON ... I CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR CD.

SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE IS BUSY GETTING READY FOR WINTER ... HAVE FUN WITH IT!

I'm not sure what our weather is to be this weekend other than we are expecting rain tomorrow am - geesh, and here I spent an hour this afternoon watering my gardens - what was I thinking! Oh well, we have very sandy soil and it just sinks right in.

Madeit3 - when I said our temp the other day was 22, that was Celcius or about 75F. How does that compare with yours in Kansas?

I'm working at putting my gardens to bed as are a number of you with DHs help. He's been doing the deepest of digging and biggest of cutting as well as removing sod from a new bed we are putting in in the front boulevard. I've been concentrating on cutting back those that I don't trust to anyone else (someone dear and near to me likes to cut a little bit too close to the ground sometimes), and digging up those that need dividing. After dividing, I replant a good sized one and then divide the other up further and pot. I then plant the pots in the ground for the winter and pull them up in the spring, clean them off and tidy them up and voila, ready for my spring plant sale. I've got 73 potted to date and am aiming for about 120.

The hornets are such a bother this time of year and drive me crazy - I don't get stung much fortunately but they are all around me and end up chasing me, actually coming after me, as I run into the house. Well, as much of a run as I can manage these days, lol. It makes gardening almost impossible from late Aug. to late Sept. Hopefully they'll be done soon - another real good frost might finish them off. Then, if my heart is willing, I can work away in earnest. If I don't have things ready in the pots by the end of Sept. I figure it's too late and leave the rest until the spring. Who knows what our weather will be once Oct comes. For now there are still things blooming in the garden. I noticed this afternoon that some of my violets have rebloomed and the Cosmos and Laveteria, roses, mums, sedums, etc,. are going great guns.

Have a great weekend all!

KSGAMMA - When I saw your temperature of the day, I knew it wasn't KS!! I planted some purple emperor sedum to overwinter yesterday. And it rained about an inch last night. Perfect!! I'm about ready for next spring!! Maybe about another 8 hours of gardening. Since I'm about to retire, I have DH busy cutting telephone poles for raised beds. So exciting!!

Lecates - the vinca I buy for pots will bloom yellow if put in the garden to over winter. The vinca I have as a garden plant blooms purple. I have it planted with Periwinkle and it's neat to see two different colours of blooms even though they are at different times. I must remember to dig some of that up for my sale.

VINCA VINES COME BACK HERE BUT NEVER HAD ANY LUCK WITH THE FLOWERING VINCA ALTHOUGH THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO---BUT IT MIGHT BE THAT THEY NEVER GET TO GO TO SEED AS I CLEAR THEM OUT FOR MY FALL PLANTINGS OR FOR CHRISTMAS DECOR. THIS YEAR I GOT THE NEW COLOR AND IT REALLY LOOKS NICE WITH THE NORMAL COLORS MIXED IN---IT IS A DARK PURPLE.
NANCY, GUESS THEY CALLED TO WARN YOU NOT TO TAKE THAT ANYMORE?
HOPING TO GO BUY FLOWERS TODAY FROM THE HORTICULTURE CLASSES. GLAD IT IS FRIDAY! HAVE A GOOD DAY!

It was a lovely sunny 22 degrees here today. I managed to get some of the gardens watered and a few plants taken care of that my husband uprooted from my pots - ones that have to come out of the pots before too much frost of I'll lose the bulbs. Unfortunately, the bees drove me inside again so I didn't get too much accomplished. In another week or so they should be gone and I can work away getting ready for my spring sale. I can only do a bit at a time but I've only got a couple of weeks at the end of "bee season" before I have to go to a hospital in Toronto for some heart procedures. Kind of late by end of Oct. anyway to be digging things up here.

Lecates - A couple of times when I've had Vinca in pots, I've cleaned out the pots in the fall and planted the Vinca right in the garden and it came back the next year! The same with ordinary English Ivy. I almost hate to get rid of my dark potatoe vine this year - it flowered and so did one of my daughter's. I've never seen that before - have any of you? They are a fair sized pink bloom shaped somewhat like a trumpet flower.

Rose - I hope your headache soon abides - they are miserable things.

Madeit3 - Sorry, KS doesn't stand for Kansas in my moniker - it stands for Kyler'S Grandma (he calls me Gamma though).

HOLLY, THE BEST PLACE TO POST THAT QUESTION IS UNDER THE TOPIC ASK THE EXPERT---SHE IS A MASTER GARDENER AND WILL LOOK UP INFO AND FIND THE BEST SOURCE FOR YOU TO READ ON THOSE TREES. I WOULD THINK IF THEY HAVE LEAVES ON THEM IT WOULD NOT BE THE TIME TO TRIM THEM---MOST TREES NEED TO BE TRIMMED RIGHT BEFORE THE SAP STARTS TO RISE.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY. IT IS SUPPPOSED TO WARM UP SOMEWHAT TODAY. MAY GO TO MY AUNT'S HOUSE TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO YET TO PUT THE GARDENS TO BED. IT IS A LITTLE EARLY YET THOUGH. THERE WILL STILL BE SOME WARM DAYS AHEAD. SORRY I AM NOT WRITING MUCH BUT I HAVE A HEADACHE THE SIZE OF KING KONG AND NOTHING SEEMS TO HELP. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT DAY.

THANKS FOR THE INFO ON WHY THE CAPS - I'LL TRY AND REMEMBER TO USE THEM. I THINK IT MAKES TEXT HARDER TO READ - BUT THAT'S JUST ME.

KSGAMMA - HOPE YOUR PROCEDURES GO WELL. I IMAGINE THAT KS STANDS FOR KANSAS - I'M A KANSAS GRANDMA TOO! LET ME KNOW IF I CAN SUPPORT YOU IN ANY WAY!

THE LAST PEACH TREE I HAD WAS KILLED BY PEACH BORERS - VERY DISTRESSING. I DON'T KNOW WHETHER IT MAKES SENSE TO THIN OUT BRANCHES BEFORE THE LEAVES FALL OFF - I ALWAYS WAIT FOR FEBRUARY.

REALLY HOPING TO GET BACK INTO MY GARDEN THIS WEEKEND AND GET THE PERENNIAL BEDS READY FOR FALL!!

I scanned the messages quickly since I did not want to bring up something already mentioned. I have two dwarf peach trees. I had cut them back following all the different guides and u tube clips. they grew like crazy 7 feet tallest point and very dense. They had been open in middle for sun etc. I think that I should had thinned them out in spring and not just let it go. I had surgery in July and started chemo this month.

I think before Winter that they should be cut back again. The first freeze will probably come soon here in Northern Nevada. Would you all recommend cutting them back this weekend. I have been told not to garden when my wbc is low to chemo so probably this weeked is not next or wait another month.

Have a beautifulllll day!

GUESS I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING ISSUES WITH NOTICES.

HERE WE TAKE OUTDATED MEDS TO THE PHARMACY AND THEY DISPOSE OF THEM. ONCE I FLUSHED ONE DOWN THE TOILET AND I AM SURE THE FISH HAD NO PAIN FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS, THE PHARMACIST CALLED TO ASK IF I HAD ANY LEFT AND I TOLD HER WHAT I HAD DONE WITH THE LAST 6 PILLS, SHE LAUGHED BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE TAKEN THEN TO THE PHARMACY

NOT TOO MUCH NEW HERE, WEATHER HAS REALLY COOLED DOWN AND THAT IS FINE WITH ME, SUPPOSED TO BE A BIT WARMER TOMORROW THOUGH THEN RAIN FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS

TAKE CARE ALL AND HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW

KIM, THANKS FOR THAT INFO---BUT SOME MEDS NEED FURTHER CARE, I BELIEVE.
YES, SOME PEOPLE ON THE TEAM HAVE EYE ISSUES----MOSTLY CATARACT OR EYE ISSUES DUE TO DIABETES----SOME OF US POST IN CAPS FOR THEIR BENEFIT---YOU MAY POST EITHER WAY. EVEN ENLARGING THE PRINT DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK FOR THEM.
BEEN OUTSIDE PUTTING UP SOME FALL DECORATIONS SINCE MY SON WAS KIND ENOUGH TO BRING THEM UP FOR ME. STILL EARLY TO PULL UP A LOT OF MY FLOWERS BUT DO WANT TO BUY MY FALL FLOWERS VERY SOON FROM THE HORTICULTURE DEPARTMENT AT THE SCHOOL---THEY HAVE SOME LOVELY PLANTS--A FEW PLANTS ARE READY TO GO WITH THIS COLD SPELL---BUT THE VINCA ARE STILL LOOKING NICE---ONE YEAR THEY WERE STILL GOING STRONG AT THANKSGIVING AND I HAD TO GO AHEAD AND PULL THEM UP SO WE COULD PUT CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS UP. emoticon emoticon

THERE ARE A FEW PEOPLE WHO HAVE VISION PROBLEMS, CAPS MAKE IT EASIER TO READ.

WHEN MY MOM DIED, SHE HAD LOTS OF MEDICATION TO DISPOSE OF. I HAD CALLED THE HOSPITAL PHARMACY & THEY TOLD ME TO USE WET, USED COFFEE GROUNDS IN A ZIPLOC BAG, & IN A DAY OR 2 THE MEDS WOULD BE DISSOLVED, READY FOR THE REGULAR TRASH.

many of you on here have asked me to let you know when I learn when my procedures for my heart will be. I just got an e-mail from Sunnybrook Hospital a few minutes ago. My first 2 procedures are booked for Thurs., 24 Oct at 7 am and Fri., 25 Oct at 10:30 a.m. They are still trying to set up an appt. with the surgeon for one of those days and I wrote back and said since it hasn’t been booked yet, can they try for the Thurs. As Murphy’s Law would have it, we’ve paid for Paul’s Horshoe Club Banquet on the Fri. night and if we can get back in time, if I’m not up to it, he could at least go. On the Sat. we’ve also paid to go to the Trenton Air Museum for his Regiment’s 150th Birthday Dinner and Ball. I will be ok for that one – just a sore throat they say. Who knows how long the wait will be for the main procedure later to actually fix the leak in my heart. These procedures are to see if they will be able to fix it.

I better get a move on here – I’ve got a seminar at the Y my Nurse arranged for me to go to from 2-4. It’s on Living with Congestive Heart Failure and is being run by the dietician from my Nurse’s Clinic. The dietician is also a Personal Trainer so I'm hoping it's about diet and exercise.

The sun is out today - sort of - and we don't expect rain until tomorrow afternoon. And here I am sitting at a desk in town instead of ripping apart my perennial beds for fall. Frustrating.

So here's a question for the team. Why do you all use caps in your messages? No criticism intended, just curiosity...

Good morning everybody. Got up this morning with more energy than I know what to do with. Have cleaned out my pantry this morning and got rid of a lot of stuff that was out of date or just simply didn't use any more. I think my medicine chest is next as there is some old medicine that I don't take anymore and some out of date over the counter stuff in there. I guess I was saving it for prosperity. Have to go to town in a little while and get the ingredients for supper. Have some other errands to make also.

HI EVERYONE. I SEE WE HAVE SOME NEW FACES ON HERE - WELCOME! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE CRAZY TO BELONG TO THIS GROUP, BUT IT SURE HELPS!!

I AM FREEZING. WE HAD A FROST THIS MORNING SO YOU KNOW IT WAS COLD. LOOKS NICE OUT NOW SO MAYBE IT'S WARMING UP A TAD.

I HAVE A WASHER AND DRYER!! WOO HOO!!! GREG CAME TO DO THE PLUMBING, NEEDED HELP DOING SOMETHING, SO BYRON CAME TO HELP HIM, AND THEY WENT AHEAD AND TOOK THE OLD WASHER OUT, AND BROUGHT THE NEW ONES IN!! SO, NEXT ON MY AGENDA IS WASHING A LOAD OF CLOTHES..... THEN I NEED TO DECIDE BETWEEN IRONING OR MOWING...LOL

I'M TRYING TO REMEMBER WHAT I READ.... I DIVIDE MY HOSTA IN THE SPRING JUST BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE EASIER, AND AS THEY GROW, THEY WILL "ROUND" THEMSELVES OUT AGAIN.

DID YOU HEAR FROM LOWES YET ROSES? CALL THEM!! SOMETIMES IT'S THE SQUEAKY WHEEL THAT GETS THE GREASE.

I DIDN'T DO AS WELL AS LYNN AT THE SCRAPBOOK SALE, BUT I GOT RID OF SOME STUFF. DIDN'T HAVE NEAR WHAT SHE HAD TAKEN IN, BUT I'M HAPPY WITH WHAT'S GONE. LET'S JUST SAY I BROKE EVEN....HAVE LOTS OF NEW PAPER, PUNCHES, SCISSORS, ETC...

GLAD YOUR COUSIN IS STEPPING UP TO HELP YOU WILSON. ENJOY YOUR TRIP!

HAVE TO REMEMBER TO CALL THE DR. AND SEE WHEN HE WANTS TO DO MY BLOOD WORK. MY LIVER NUMBERS WERE ELEVATED IN MAY, AND HE SAID HE WANTED TO RECHECK THEM IN 4 OR 5 MONS. BEEN 4, SO GIT'R DONE!

WAS AT FIL'S HOUSE FRIDAY, AND HE HAS SOME BEAUTIFUL ROSE OF SHARON GROWING ALONG THE HOUSE, AND THERE NEVER WAS ANY THERE BEFORE. GOING TO SEE IF I CAN GET THEM OUT, AND BRING THEM HOME. HOPEFULLY THE KNEES WILL LET ME DIG. WISH I COULD MOVE HIS HYDRANGIA TOO. THEY WERE GLORIOUS THIS YEAR.

I HAVE FORSYTHIA IN BLOOM....DID I MISS WINTER? IS THIS SPRING???

SHOULD WORK ON TYPING UP THE MINUTES FROM THE DISTRICT MEETING, BUT I DON'T REALLY WANT TOO...

HEARD MY CELL PHONE "BING" ABOUT 1:30 THIS MORNING, WONDERED WHO THE HECK WAS TEXTING ME AT THAT HOUR. SEEMS MY ALMOST 13 YR. OLD GRANDSON BROKE HIS ANKLE LAST NIGHT AT JR. HI. FOOTBALL PRACTICE, AND HE WAS BORED, SO TEXTED ME. GLAD HE DID. HAVE TO CALL HIM YET TODAY...POOR KID. HE'S THE ONE THAT WAS SO BURNED WHEN HE WAS LITTLE.

AND YES, I USE MY PHONE FOR AN ALARM. BOUGHT A DOCK FOR IT FOR NEXT TO THE BED, AND THERE IS SOMEWAY I CAN SET AN ALARM ON IT TOO, BUT HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT YET...MAYBE WHEN I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE...LOL

BETTER GO EAT LUNCH. I'M HUNGRY AND GETTING A HEADACHE.....OH, JUST FOUND OUT A CLUB I BELONG TO IS HAVING CHOCOLATE TASTING AND TREATS FOR THE MEETING THURSDAY NIGHT. THINK I'LL SKIP IT DUE TO MY WILL POWER (NONE!!) MY NUMBERS ARE HIGH ENOUGH RIGHT NOW, AND HAVE A FEELING THEY WOULD BE THROUGH THE ROOF BY THE END OF THE EVENING...

LAST SPARK MAIL I GOT WAS MAY ... NO NOTICES EITHER. ONCE IN A WHILE I'LL GET A NOTICE ABOUT ONE OF THE BLOGS I'VE SUBSCRIBED TO, BUT WHEN I CHECK IT I SEE THAT I MISSED A FEW TOO. NOW I'M THINKING ONE OF MY TEAMS WASN'T IGNORING ME ... MAYBE I JUST DIDN'T GET THE MESSAGE!

BRRRRRR ... REALLY CHILLY THIS MORNING. GOT UP AT 9ish (NOT USUAL FOR ME) IT WAS 43° ... STILL ONLY 56°, BUT SHOULD HIT 65 THIS AFTERNOON. EACH DAY WILL BE A LITTLE WARMER UNTIL A HIGH OF 80° ON SATURDAY ... AND SUNNY ALL 4 DAYS!!! DH IS SO HAPPY ... HE THINKS HE CAN GET THE OUTSIDE PAINTING DONE BY THEN! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE A LITTLE PROGRESS ON POTTING PERENNIALS FOR OUR SPRING PLANT SALE ... WILL HAVE TO COVER THEM GOOD WITH LEAVES, BUT THEY SHOULD LAST THE WINTER. THIS WAY I WON'T HAVE TO BE POTTING IN THE SPRING RAINS AND MUD, AND PLANTS WILL BE LOOKING GREAT FOR THE SALE.

ROSES ... CHRISTMAS SHOPPING FOR US IS MOSTLY MONEY IN CARDS NOW THAT THE KIDS ARE GROWN ... NO GRANDS TO BUY FOR. I STILL TRY TO GET SOMETHING SMALL AND PERSONAL TO PUT WITH THEIR MONEY GIFT BUT THEY ARE ALL REALLY HAPPY WITH THE MONEY! IT REALLY MAKES IT EASY TO SHOP. EVEN MY NIECES AND NEPHEWS ARE GROWN AND NOW OFF OUR LIST ... I MAKE 3 DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF BISCOTTI AND GIVE THEM OUT TOO ... USUALLY DO ABOUT 10 - 15 BATCHES! OH YEAH ... MY BROTHER LOVES CHOC/VANILLA PINWHEELS SO HE GETS A BATCH OF THOSE SENT TO HIM ALSO WITH CHRISTMAS BLEND COFFEE AND CHAI TEA (FOR SIL).

LECATES ... NOW THAT THE SALE IS OVER I HAVE ASSORTED STAMPS THAT I HAVE TO SORT THROUGH ... AND LOTS OF CRAFT ITEMS THAT WILL BE DONATED SOMEPLACE. I WAS GOING TO HELP JOY OUT TODAY, BUT HER PLUMBERS ARE THERE SO WE WILL POSTPONE IT TIL LATER IN THE WEEK. IT GIVES ME TIME TO ORGANIZE THE BOXES OF STAMPING/SCRAPPING STUFF I HAVE LEFT. DH WILL LOVE THAT SINCE IT IS CLUTTERING UP THE DINING ROOM!

ENJOY THE DAY ALL ...

ROSES - HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TAKING THE ALLERGY SHOTS? IT COULD BE YOU JUST HAVEN'T HAD THEM LONG ENOUGH. IT CAN TAKE 3-5 YEARS TO GET A GOOD DE-SENSITISING! AT LEAST, I KNOW MY MIL TOOK 3 YEARS OF SHOTS FOR HONEY BEE STING DESENSATISING.
WELL, IT'S A COOL (70f) , CLOUDY DAY AND JUST DIVINE!!! LOVE HAVING THE FRONT DOOR OPEN AND THE NICE AIR COMING IN THROUGH THE SCREEN!! AAAHHHH!!! THIS IS THE LIFE!
MY DD CAME OVER YESTERDAY EVENING AND WE TOOK A NICE BRISK WALK FOR JUST OVER A MILE BEFORE THE SUNSET! IT WAS WONDERFUL! SHE IS WANTING TO BECOME A RUNNER AND SHE MANAGES TO GET OUT EVERY MORNING FOR A RUN/WALK OR FLAT OUT RUN EVERY DAY! SHE'S KEEPING HER DISTANCE DOWN TO A MILE BUT SHE'S A BEGINNER AND DOESN'T WANT TO OVER-DO. SHE WILL INCREASE SPEED AND DISTANCE AS SHE GETS BETTER AT IT! THAT'S THE RIGHT WAY TO DO IT! I'M SO PROUD OF HER. I GIVE RUN/WALK A TRY WHEN I GET OUT THERE, TOO! WHO KNOWS.....I MIGHT BE ABLE TO JOIN HER IN A 5K NEXT MONTH!
WELL, GOTS TO GET SOME MORE STUFF DONE! HAVE A GREAT DAY, Y'ALL!! ((HUGS))

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY. THE SUN IS SHINING AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE NICE TODAY. HAVE WEIGHT WATCHERS TODAY. HOPE MY WEIGH IN IS GOOD. I HAVE GOT TO WHERE I HAVE SOME ENERGY NOW SO I DON'T MIND DOING THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE. HAVE 3 PRESENTATIONS TO WORK ON AND ONE OF THEM IS NEXT WEEK. I DON'T LIKE THESE ALLERGIES THOUGH. THEY ARE GETTING TO ME IN A BAD WAY. MAY CALL MY ALLERGIST TODAY TO SEE IF I CAN GET IN THERE TO SEE HER TODAY IF POSSIBLE. THOSE SHOTS ARE NOT HELPING WHATEVER I AM ALLERGIC TO IN THE FALL. MOMMA AND DADDY BOTH HAVE APOINTMENTS WITH THE HEART SPECIALIST THIS MORNING. HOPE THEY GO WELL. I FEEL LIKE I CAN TRUST THIS ONE AS THEIR REGULAR DOCTOR SENT THEM TO HIM INSTEAD OF THE ONE SHE WAS "PLAYING" WITH. HE DIDN'T EVEN TELL US THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT HE HAD FOUND ON THE HEART CATHETERIZATION SHE HAD. HE JUST TOLD US WHAT HE THOUGHT WE WANTED TO HEAR. IF SOMETHING IS WRONG JUST GIVE ME THE TRUTH AND I PROMISE TO BE A BIG GIRL ABOUT IT. IT MAY TAKE ME A WHILE TO SORT IT ALL OUT BUT AT LEAST I WOULD NOT BE IN THE DARK.

NOW THAT YOU HAVE THAT ROOM CLEANED OUT, PUT SOME BOUNCE DRYER SHEETS IN SOME STRATEGIC PLACES OUT OF SITE---THAT WILL KEEP THE MICE AWAY---CHANGE THEM EVERY FEW MONTHS---THEY DON'T LIKE THEM FOR SOME REASON.

Older - I did get my closet cleaned out - well, it's a lot better than it was, lol. I filled 2 green garbage bags of clothes that are now too large and will go to charity. I was quite excited to find that my wedding suit from 11 years ago fits again, until I looked in the mirror. I think I lost most of my weight off my bust and the jacket just hangs in the bust, grrrr. I too kept some things from before that do now fit and will help with the depleted wardrobe. I'm an odd fit for pants being apple shaped and last time I found some that fit me nicely I bought 3. With encouragement from DH I actually went back to the store and bought 3 more to put away as jeans and cords don't go out of style. Guess what I now have ... you got it ... 6 pairs of pants that are too big - 3 of which have never been worn! They all just fit as long as I didn't hold in my tummy. But, they have some stretch to them for comfort and after an hour or so, they fall off - doesn't go over big! Mice - haven't had those in years thank heavens. Your husband is right, they can always find a way in. We used to get them in a main floor apartment my first husband and I had. We had an unheated back porch off the kitchen in that apartment and one day, I made a whole bunch of meat pies. I couldn't stack them in the freezer until they were frozen and of course couldn't find enough room in there to freeze them first. I thought I'd just put them in the porch to freeze - we were living in Thunder Bay, On. (brrrr and it was mid winter). I put them out. About an hour later I opened the kitchen door to check on them and just about freaked. Darned if there wasn't a mouse eating out of the top of every one of those pies!!!!! I had a cut out in the crust to say what kind of pie it was and they were licking it up having a good ol' time. It's a good thing I saw them or we might have later eaten one a mouse had been at, ugh!!!! My mother used to freeze things in our garage attached to the house when I was a kid but after my fiasco, I remembered she did it in tightly closed tins in closed cabinets! It took us girls a couple of years to catch on that that was where she hid the Christmas baking from us - sneaky. Not only that, they were labelled as X-mas cake or some such thing we wouldn't go after, lol. Good luck keeping the mice out.

MORNING ALL ... IT HAS BEEN A FEW DAYS SINCE I'VE BEEN IN ... TRIED TO READ EVERYTHING BUT DON'T KNOW IF I CAN ACTUALLY CATCH UP WITH EVERYONE SO I'LL JUST SAY A FEW WORDS AND CATCH UP FROM HERE.

JOY AND I SHARED A TABLE AT THE YARD SALE AT THE SCRAPBOOK STORE YESTERDAY MORNING ... A GREAT WAY TO GET RID OF ANY OLD RUBBER STAMPS AND/OR SCRAPBOOK SUPPLIES ... I'VE BEEN STAMPING SINCE EARLY 90'S AND HAD TWO BOXES OF STAMPS THAT I PRACTICALLY MARKED TO GIVE AWAY ... AND SOLD CREATIVE MEMORY SCRAPBOOK SUPPLIES FROM 2003 - 2006. STILL HAD SOME LEFTOVER INVENTORY AND MOST OF THAT WENT. HELPS THAT I PRICED EVERYTHING LOW ENOUGH THAT I MADE SOME NICE POCKET CHANGE TO TIDE ME OVER FOR A WHILE. $70+ AFTER COST OF TABLE ... AND A FEW PURCHASES OF MY OWN. NICE THING IS I CAME HOME WITH 4 BOXES LESS THAN I STARTED WITH!!!

I HAD SOME ODDBALL CRAFT SUPPLIES THAT I WAS HOPING TO GET RID OF TOO, THAT DIDN'T SELL WELL, BUT IT WILL GO TO SALVATION ARMY OR GOODWILL. NICEST THING IS IT GOT RIDE OF A LOT OF BASEMENT STUFF SO THIS FALL I HAVE A LITTLE MORE ROOM TO ORGANIZE DOWN THERE ... ALSO STILL HAVE LOTS OF STUFF TO GET RID OF! MAYBE I'LL ACTUALLY GET FINISHED PURGING DOWN THERE BEFORE IT'S TIME TO GARDEN IN THE SPRING!

DH IS STILL WORKING ON HOUSE TRIM ... HARD TO GET IT DONE WITH ALL THE RAIN. WE HAVE HAD NICE DAYS TO WORK, BUT HE IS STARTING TO GET INTO PANIC MODE FEARING THAT HE ISN'T GOING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE THE SNOW FLIES!

SON AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL THE DECK FURNITURE ON WEDNESDAY ... HAVE TO DO A LITTLE SHUFFLING AROUND IN THE SHED SO WE STILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE LADDERS, MOWER AND GARDENING TOOLS I NEED TO CLOSE THE GARDEN AND WINTERIZE THE POND. I'LL HAVE TO NET IT BEFORE THE LEAVES FALL SO WILL TRY TO DO THAT WEDNESDAY TOO.

GOING TO OUR OVER 40 LUNCH AT CHURCH TODAY ... THEN OFF TO GROCERY SHOP.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT DAY/WEEK.
