I was going to take a pic of my red ones, but the storm we had the other night kind of did them in... darn. That's the only problem with them, is they are so fragile, and wind and rain do them in.......

Congratulations!!! I TOTALLY understand your excitement. I only have three peonys and only two of them have bloomed, but each time is see the new buds I break into a happy dance! They are SO beyond beautiful. Do enjoy yours to the fullest!!! Happy for you, Donna

I have pink and white and omg yes they are gorgeous!!!! The only downfall is when you plant them you don't get the flowers that year. I've never seen them in red they must be gorgeous in that color.
I love my garden and from the looks of it , it loves me back all the hummingbirds and hummingbird moths come , with tons of butterflies and dragon flies and they come right up to me it's really enchanting.
Thanks for the tip incase I ever have to move them again!

Starting to like the new me!
Waiting for my garden to come to life!

Good! Aren't they beautiful! What color do you ha ve? I have red, pink and white, and am planning on buying a purplish color this year.

FYI, if you have to move them again for some reason, always make sure they are replanted at the same depth you took them from. They seem to be happier when that's how they are moved. I dig a hole, work up the soil in the hole, remove enough that the clump I have dug up, will fit right in there. Pack it around somewhat, don 't add soil on the top, and you should have good luck with them.

Okay 5 yrs ago we bought 2 plants of Peonies, I had to move one of them and it got extremely upset with me. I watched it for years just grow a few leaves never a bud, a girl at a nursery told me to just take it out of the ground because they don't like to be moved and it wouldn't ever come back.
Well, I believe if you have love and hope in your heart miracles do happen so I left it in the ground for 5 yrs.
WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This year was the year it finally said she's suffered enough! I have a vase full of gorgeous Peonies, this one bush has given me 14 of the most gorgeous flowers mother nature has ever produced!
When you love something, someone never give up on them, even everyone else says too!
