I was a Jellyfish, but for my husband and I to go someplace as Kaylee and Mal from "Shindig" is on my bucket list.

I'm cheap this year, I just bought a Captain Hammer shirt and I'm using an old pair of black rubber gloves with my old Hardees work pants and belt. Costume complete, if only I can get my hair to look as nice as Fillians. lol

I thought about being one of the statues from the Doctor Who "Blink" episode, but I'm lazy when it comes to creating costumes. I'm thinking of finding a snorkel and putting a halo on it and going as a "Holy Diver"... emoticon

Being the TARDIS sounds pretty cool. I hope you get to do it and also get some photos to share. (big hint)

I'm gonna try and be the tardis from doctor who. Kind of worried about how I'm going to pull it off with two midterms next week, but fingers crossed. It's not like anyone on campus will get it anyway :P

You look so good in your Han Solo costume if it is the one in your photos!

I'll be re-wearing my girly Han Solo costume I made for a con earlier this year. I'd wear that costume every day if I could get away with it :)

The bunny hops slowly to the right.

I'm thinking I'll be a vampire bride from the new Doctor Who Vampires of Venice episode - sort of. Of course, only our group will know who I am. Others will think I'm some kind of ordinary vampire or ghoul.

I was looking at some steampunk ones too. I think I would like to create something rather than try to copy or modify like your friend is doing. Maybe I'll gender-bend a Wash outfit? emoticon

Part of our little science fiction club are planning costumes for the next convention we go to. One is planning to wear Kaylee's prairie harpy dress except longer and add on Saffron's shawl since it will be cool weather and the shawl matches so nicely.

One is doing multiple costumes - Star Gate military and Dr Who. The rest of us are thinking variations on steampunk.

Costumes make science fiction conventions so much more fun!

Thinking about costumes. Now that family had gone to Comicon, they are talking about costumes seriously. DD has been thinking for a long while about it. I told them I want Kaylee's cake dress if I'm dressing up. emoticon

Anybody wearing costumes? And if so, what kind of event?

I'm going to wear my Kaylee costume to the dinner our local science fiction club is having tomorrow night. Most of the other members are going to come in costume, too. Since it is at a restaurant, it should be fun!

Hubby is going to wear his Serenity t-shirt -- as close to a costume as I've been able to get him into. So far. :-)

note to self: bring camera
