If I work out in the morning it sets me up for the rest of the day. I have more energy and I think twice about my food choices.

One of my challenges is what to eat before and after a workout. Spark has lots of articles but I tend to forget and need a simple formula (not subway, lol)

Great advice. About 5 years ago I got severely dehydrated (before I found SP and started working on myself) when I was drinking mostly Coke in hot weather. It didn't rehydrate me. I got so sick and couldn't hardly move because I was so tired. I drink lots of water now because I never want to go through that again! Ended up in ER and had IV fluids to get back to "normal".

To maximize your workout:(1.)Keep yourself well-hydrated.The amount of fluid needed prior to your workout,during&after your workout depends on your body needs.(2.)Incorporate a (5-10)minute warmup and light stretching before you start working out.And don't forget to stretch after you workout.(3.)Work out with a friend or a partner.(4.)Make sure you are getting enough sleep.(5.)Time your workout to fit into your schedule.(6.)Set workout goals at the beginning of each week.Write them down so you will stick with them.I hope this helps us all.Good luck to you all and emoticon emoticon emoticon
