I was surfing the internet last night and came across these 10 steps to gain control of your life. I am going to try them one at a time and see how well it effects getting my weight loss under control. They make a lot of sense and I think it will help every aspect of my life. Anyone want to join me and see if it helps you?!?!!

At first glance, many would wonder what positive thinking and productivity have nothing to do with each other. However, it is easy to develop negative thinking patterns and become frustrated by challenges and feelings of being overwhelmed. This negative outlook creates a cycle that makes it difficult to manage challenges and move forward.

Positive thinking allows you to focus on your strengths and accomplishments, which increase satisfaction and motivation. This in turn helps you make progress, and spend less time feeling down and stuck.

The following tips provide practical suggestions to help you shift to positive thinking patterns:

Step Number One:

Take care of yourself---

Itís much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercising, and getting enough rest.

When I read this first step for taking control of my life, it seems like something pretty obvious. To most of us, eating well is something that we NEED to do every day. If we eat the right foods, and get the proper amounts of vitamins from our foods, we should be healthy and able to get through the day without too much effort. Exercising is something that I think we all need more of. I know that I have health problems, but I could be doing more to get more exercise and motivate my body to move. I need to commit to using my Cardio Glide every day and wear my pedometer. I am working towards getting 2000 steps a day which doesnít sound like much, but at least it is attainable for me right now. I could set it higher, but then I might be setting myself up for failure, and then get discouraged. Getting enough rest is something that I know needs some work on in my life. I go to bed around 10:30 and get up around 6, which is 7.5 hours of sleep. That is a decent amount, but with my pain issues, I donít think that I am sleeping as deep as I should. I just started taking 5HTP along with melatonin to see if it helps me to sleep better. I will have to work on that and try to get BETTER sleep.

I am going to take one step at a time and master this one before going on to step 2. Sometimes I think that we get to anxious to make our lives better, and move to fast into the different areas that we need to work on. If you will take this step and work on it with me, maybe the ideas that you come up with will be one that will help me. Then we can go on to step 2 together also. I need a more positive outlook for my life and I think that getting these three things under control will help me a lot.
